Lanell A. Price
Lanell A. Price, 85, died Dec. 26, 2005, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont, Mo.
She was born Sept. 19, 1920, in Oklahoma City, Okla., daughter of the late Fred and Virgie (Miller) Proffitte.
Mrs. Price had worked as a machine operator for Century Electric Motor Factory.
She attended Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Dennis James (Lori) Price, Piedmont; one brother, Fred (Lois) Proffitte, Clinton; one sister, Joyce (Leroy) Aldrich, Greenville; two grandsons, D.J. and Gerald Price; two dogs, Belle and Cocoa.
The funeral was held Dec. 29 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Tim Adams officiating and music by Missy Adams.
Pallbearers were Haskell Loucks, Nick Clifford, Tom Reich, Danny Gentles, Ronald Pickett, Gerald Price and D.J. Price.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Proffitte, Mike Proffitte and Jerry Clifford.
Burial was in Yount Memorial Cemetery, Garwood.

Homer 'Peck' Hamilton
Homer R. "Peck" Hamilton, 72, of Des Arc died Dec. 25, 2005, at Advanced Health Care Medical Center in Ellington, Mo.
He was born May 20, 1933, in Minimum, Mo., son of the late Dallas and Nellie (Jones) Hamilton.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Goodman Jan. 10, 1953, and she survives, residing in Des Arc.
Mr. Hamilton was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He had been a truck driver and attended the Nazarene Church in Annapolis.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Kevin (Lisa) Hamilton, Charles (Paula) Hamilton, Russell (Bonnie) Hamilton, all of Des Arc, Rockey (Susan) Hamilton, Manchester, Tenn.; one daughter, Sherry (Jim) Smith, Bismarck; two brothers, Charles (Judy) Hamilton, Festus, Drew (Donna) Hamilton, Annapolis; two sisters, Louise Toppins, Karen (Charles) Sutton, all of Annapolis; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia Propst.
The funeral was held Dec. 28 at Nazarene Church, Annapolis, with Rev. C.J. Casteel and Rev. Shirley Royer officiating.
A poem was read by Brandy Hamilton and music was provided by Beverly Johnson.
Pallbearers were Jeremiah Hamilton, Derrick Smith, Joe Hamilton, Ryan Scaggs, Justin Hamilton and Chuck Toppins.
Burial was in Meadows Cemetery, Annapolis.
Graveside military honors were provided by the U.S. Army.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont.

Wayne M. Worley
Wayne Mitchell Worley, 48, of Fenton died Dec. 21, 2005, in Millersville, Mo.
He was born April 12, 1957, in Red Bud, Ill., son of the late Claude and Marie (Hagen) Worley.
Mr. Worley was a truck driver for Penske Logistics.
He was married to Kitty Williams Nov. 14, 1987.
He is survived by one daughter, Jamie Worley, Miami, Fla.; three brothers, Gene Worley, Hecker, Ill., Kenneth Worley, St. Charles, James Worley, Minnith.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Leonard Worley, three sisters, Patricia Nora Lee Baker, Anna Mae Loness and Goldie Roth.
The memorial service was held Dec. 31 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rick Worley, speaker.

W. Taylor Montgomery
Winfred Taylor Montgomery, 89, died Jan. 15, 2006, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont, Mo.
He was born Nov. 25, 1916, in Patterson, Mo., son of the late Joseph and Julia (Daggett) Montgomery.
He was united in marriage to Bessie Evelyn Lutes June 4, 1938, and she preceded him in death June 7, 2005.
Mr. Montgomery had worked for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis.
He was a member of the Piedmont Nazarene Church.
He is survived by three sons, Charles (Joann) Montgomery, Piedmont, Johnny (Donna) Montgomery, St. Louis, Glendall (Nancy) Montgomery, O'Fallon; one daughter, Mary Ann Madding, O'Fallon; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Harry Junior Montgomery; five brothers, Silas, Arnold, Delbert, Marion and Otha Montgomery; three sisters, Carrie Ward, Jennie Lutes and Mary Shearrer.
The funeral was held Jan. 18 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Gary Rhodes and Rev. Kenneth Harper officiating.
Music was provided by Alicia Mallody, Sean, Genice and Shaylin Montgomery.
Pallbearers were Tim, Rob, Terry, Michael and Stephen Montgomery and Greg Madding.
Burial was in Montgomery Chapel Cemetery, Silva.

Eva Street
Eva Street, 93, died Jan. 22, 2006, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont, Mo.
She was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Des Arc, Mo., daughter of the late James and Annie (Gray) Chilton.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Street July 16, 1935, and he preceded her in death April 1968.
Mrs. Street was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one son, Linden Street, Buffalo, Kan.; one grandson, Jeff Holder; two nieces, Lola Baum, Lois (Stan) Bryar; one great-niece, Christine.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Essie Talley, Opal Clifford, Gusty White, four brothers, Courtney, Leslie, Marshal and Ira Chilton.
The funeral was held Jan. 25 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Mark McMullin officiating.
Pallbearers were Terry Kincaid, Mark McMullin, Doyle Middleton, Jim Ruegg, Melvin Dildine and Floyd Henson.
Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc.

Stella M. Braswell
Stella Marie Braswell, 83, formerly of Greenville, died Jan. 26, 2006, in St. Louis, Mo.
She was born Dec. 2, 1922, in Pascola, Mo., daughter of the late Porter and Mayme (Rettig) Eveland.
She was united in marriage to Warren C. Braswell Dec. 14, 1946, and he preceded her in death Oct. 20, 2003.
Mrs. Braswell had been a nurse for Missouri State Hospital, Deaconess Hospital and John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, and a store clerk at York Village.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two brothers, Samuel Eveland, Gary Eveland; one sister-in-law, Mary Eveland, all of St. Louis; nieces, Cindy, Traci, Nicole and Michelle; nephews, Brad, Gregg, Chris, Dan, J.D., Cotton, George, Joe and Warren; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Frieda Eveland Parris.
The funeral was held Jan. 29 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Louie Robinson officiating.
Pallbearers were Brad Gregg, Chris and Gary Eveland, Jim Ruegg, Ron Street and Nick Helm.
Burial was in Greenville Cemetery, Greenville.

Felix Gonzalez
Felix Gonzalez, 75, of Van Buren died Jan. 26, 2006, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. after a lengthy illness.
His family was by his side.
He was born March 25, 1930, in Veta Grande, state of Zacatecas, Mexico, son of the late Francisco and Ysabela Gonzalez Lopez.
He was united in marriage April 3, 1957, to Helen Marie Keeney in Albany, Ky., and she survives.
Mr. Gonzalez served in the Mexican Army, then came to the United States in 1952.
He worked on oil rigs with his uncle and arrived in Van Buren in 1954, where he was a self-employed water well driller for many years.
He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He enjoyed hard work, spending time with his family, fishing and gigging and trips to his beloved farmland in Mexico.
He was well known for his unique personality and sense of humor.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Greg (Julia) Gonzalez, Ricky Gonzalez, Tina (Stuart) Reed, all of Van Buren, Teresa (John) West, Springfield; three sisters; eight grandchildren, Cara, Clayton, Raquel, Tori and Zoie Gonzalez, Derek West, Kasey West and Luke Reed; one great-grandson, Cayden Baker; a host of other relatives of Zacatecas, Mexico, friends and family in both countries.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
A memorial service was held Jan. 29 at McSpadden Funeral Home, Van Buren.
A private burial will take place in the Van Buren Cemetery at a later date.
