Carl K. Reynolds
Carl Kenneth Reynolds, 74, died Aug. 6, 2004, in Piedmont, Mo.
He was born June 30, 1930, in Torch, Mo., son of the late Allison and Maggie (Norce) Reynolds.
He was united in marriage to Olivia Pueblo Oct. 28, 1980, in Kalamazoo, Mich., and she preceded him in death April 30, 2003.
Mr. Reynolds operated a cleaning service in Portage, Mich., before his retirement.
He had lived in Piedmont for the past year.
He is survived by four children, Charles K. Reynolds, Doniphan, Stephen R. Reynolds, Perryville, Jennie L. Hubbard, Wappapello, Darrel A. Reynolds, Kennett; two sisters, Frieda Bridgeforth, Rutland, Ill., Juanita Lewis, Piedmont; former wife, Mary Ann Reynolds, Poplar Bluff; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Wesley, Arlen and Elmer Reynolds, two sisters, Edna Raab and Alta Davis.
After cremation, a private family service will be held.
Arrangements were made through Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel, Piedmont.

George L. Leach
George Lee Leach, 77, died Dec. 21, 2005, at Greenville Health Care in Greenville, Mo.
He was born July 4, 1928, in Patterson, Mo., son of the late Frank and Edith (Randall) Leach.
Mr. Leach had worked for a boiler factory.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two brothers, Bobby (Loretta) Leach, Peoria, Ill., Kenneth (Brenda) Leach, Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Reda Mae Crowley, Piedmont.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Leon, Edward, Curtis, Bill and Freddie Leach, and one sister, Lorene Gibbons.
The funeral was held Dec. 23 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Louie Robinson officiating.
Pallbearers were Bobby Leach, Jim Jones, Mike Gossett, Earl Baumgardner, Paul Bridges and Gary Lewis.
Burial was in New Prospect Cemetery, Silva.
A military graveside service was provided by U.S. Army and Southeast Missouri Veterans Honor Guard.

Keith E. Stout
Keith Edwin Stout, 47, died Dec. 21, 2005, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born Oct. 8, 1958, in St. Louis, Mo., son of Helen (Middleton) Stout, who survives and resides in Patterson, and the late Dale Stout.
He was united in marriage to Cathie Silvy May 13, 1978, and she survives, residing in Des Arc.
Mr. Stout had worked for a pallet mill as an equipment operator.
He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Jason (Melissa) Stout, Vulcan; three sisters, Debra Wentz, Annapolis, Vicki Russell, Patterson, Sandra (Larry) Hughes, Carrollton, Ga.; four grandchildren, Dale Stout II, Caleb Stout, Jonathon and Matthew Keplinger.
The funeral was held Dec. 24 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, with Rev. Jerry Cunieo and Rev. Elmo Parker officiating.
Pallbearers were Darrell Middleton, Barry Hughes, Bobby Wentz, Christopher Hughes, Jeffrey Brewer and Keith Brewer.
Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery, Des Arc.

Mary J. Nuccio
Mary Josephine Nuccio, 78, died Dec. 2, 2005, at Burgan Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
She was born Jan. 26, 1927, daughter of the late Raney and Sallie (Yancey) Allen.
As a young teenager she sang, along with her sister Ola Ward and nephew Bobby Ward, on KMOX radio in St. Louis.
There, she met Joseph Nuccio, an accomplished accordion player, and they were married Jan. 28, 1944.
He preceded her in death April 1, 1982.
She is survived by four children, Judy (Terry) Battiato, Kathy (Paul) CreMeens, all of Omaha, Neb., Michael (Margie) Nuccio, Sally Jo (David) Miller, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; five sisters, Gladys Sullivan, Piedmont, Pauline Hale, Silva, Eunice Howard, St. Louis, Virginia Roussin, St. Clair, Shirley Smith, Hillsboro; two brothers, Glen Allen, Clubb, Jerry Allen, Silva; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were five brothers, Andrew, Edward, Gilford, Grady and Richard Allen, and two sisters, Ola Ward and Kathleen Albrecht.
The funeral was held at St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Omaha, Neb.

Spencer Lyon
Spencer Lyon, 62, died Dec. 31, 2005, at his residence in Piedmont, Mo., after a yearlong battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Evansville, Ind., son of Edna "Jewby" (Mills) Lyon, who survives and resides in Washington, and the late Richard Henry Lyon.
Mr. Lyon was a graduate of St. Francis Borgia High School, where he was a member of the first football team.
He was a photographer for the United States Army from 1967 to 1970.
He was stationed in Germany.
Spencer graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a BS in secondary art.
He was also graduated from Lindenwood University with an MFA in photography.
He was an art and photography teacher for nearly 20 years at Clearwater High School in Piedmont.
He was also the girls softball coach, cheerleading and pep club sponsor.
He retired from teaching to open his own photography studio, which he operated until his illness forced him to retire.
He loved football, especially the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and enjoyed auto racing, especially Formula One and Grand Prix.
He was an avid supporter of Clearwater basketball, baseball and volleyball.
He enjoyed reading mysteries and biographies.
He began an arts and entertainment tabloid in Cape Girardeau in the early 70s, called the "River City Review."
He loved writing articles and critical reviews about entertainment and photography.
He had his own photography and articles published in nearly all major photography magazines.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Brown Dec. 8, 1983, in Poplar Bluff, and she survives, residing in Piedmont.
Mr. Lyon was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Parish in Piedmont.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one sister, Ann Broeker, Union; mother-in-law, Louise Brown, Poplar Bluff; one nephew, Clay Spencer (Maria) Broeker, Affton; great-niece, Kenlee Broeker, Affton; Spencer was a big brother to Jake Hime of Piedmont; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Ken Broeker.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 3 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Washington.
Celebrant was Rev. James Byrnes.
Burial was in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery, Washington.
Arrangements were under the direction of Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.

Joe L. Huett
Joe Lee Huett, 83, formerly of Piedmont, died Dec. 30, 2005, at the Missouri Veterans' Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born March 1, 1922, in Whitewater, Cape Girardeau County, Mo., son of the late Joe Loyd and Willnie (Proffer) Huett.
He was united in marriage to Doris Maxine Bushe at Holloran General Hospital, Staten Island, N.Y., July 26, 1945.
Joe and Doris met in Seattle, Wash.
They lived in Ellington from 1946 to 1989, before they relocated to Piedmont.
Mr. Huett graduated from Ellington High School in June 1940 and enlisted in the U.S. Army Oct. 15, 1940.
While serving in the armed forces, he was stationed at Fort Raymond, Alaska, Howard Air Force Base in Panama; Temple, Austin and Port Arthur, Texas; Heidelberg and Baumholder, Germany; Fort Leonard Wood; Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; and Camp Zama, Japan.
He retired from the U.S. Army Aug. 31, 1964, with the rank of captain.
He then worked for Ozark Lead Company in Reynolds County for 13 years and for the Division of Labor for 10 years before fully retiring in 1990.
Mr. Huett entered the nursing home in Piedmont after suffering a stroke in 1999 and later was admitted to the Missouri Veterans' Home in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Huett resided in Piedmont until she preceded him in death in 2002.
He was very proud of his military service.
At one time, his father, mother, brother and wife were all serving at the same time - J. Loyd served with the U.S. Navy; Winnie served with the U.S. Air Force; Frederick served with the U.S. Navy; and Doris was assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard and a SPAR.
Surviving are their four children, Sandra (Dwayne) Hackworth, Ellington, Charles (Shirley) Huett, DeSoto, Texas, Philip Huett, Poplar Bluff, Judy (Larry) Hughes, Scranton, Ark.; six grandchildren, Michael (Terri) Hackworth, Jennifer (Ben) Thompson, Julie (William) Johnston, Rachel (Alan) Sharp, Jonathan Hughes, Christopher Huett; five great-grandchildren, Madison Johnson, Evan and Trenton Johnston and Tyler and Gretchen Hackworth.
Graveside services were held Jan. 1 at Ellington City Cemetery with Pastor Marvin Richards officiating and music by Geraldine Raines.
Pallbearers were Ben Thompson, William Johnston, Jonathan Hughes, Michael Hackworth, Charles Huett and Philip Huett.
Arrangements were under the direction of McSpadden Funeral Home, Ellington.

Fern A. Haddock
Fern Adeline Haddock, 81, died Dec. 27, 2005, in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born Sept. 25, 1924, in Lowndes, Mo., daughter of the late Sylvester and Eunice (Mullins) Thurston.
She was united in marriage to Samuel Haddock Nov. 22, 1942, in Lowndes, and he survives, residing in Puxico.
Mrs. Haddock taught school in Wayne County for many years and worked as a secretary at the Wayne County Courthouse in Greenville.
She was a member of the Crossroads General Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Joe (Renee) Haddock, Lowndes, Theresa (Dale) Bunyard, Williamsville; three sisters, Hearthel Miler, Poplar Bluff, Jeanie Miler, Couer d'Alene, Idaho, Carolyn Shirrell, Zalma; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Thurston, and one sister, Bettie Miler.
The funeral was held Dec. 30 at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel, Greenville, with Rev. Earl Elfrink officiating.
Pallbearers were Bill Milster, Fred Miler, Billy Shirrell, David Melson, Dale Bunyard and Joe Haddock Jr.
Burial was in Crossroads Church Cemetery.
