Marshall Roderick Miller
Marshall Roderick Miller, 83, of Michigan City, died Sept. 1, 2005 at his home. He was a member of World Wide Church of God.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 4 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Valley Grove Cemetery in Michigan City. Jack Johnson officiated.

He leaves his wife of 63 years, Mamie Miller; five sons, James Marshall Miller of Faulkner, Dalphus Holland Miller, Calvin David Miller, Shan Miller, Beaver Miller, all of Michigan City; three daughters, Sarah Fay Wilburn, Margie Oglesby, Sharon Graves, all of Moscow, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Ruth Swords of Oxford, Lois Yeager of Harrisville; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were his grandsons.

Olivia Smith Sanderson
Olivia Smith Sanderson, 83, of Holly Springs, died Aug. 30, 2005 at Alliance HealthCare System in Holly Springs. The widow of Wilson Sanderson, she was a member of Anderson Chapel CME Church, where she was a stewardess, in the choir, and a missionary. She was a nurse aide for 28 years at the Marshall County Hospital.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 4 at Anderson Chapel wtih burial in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Denise Anders-Modest officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a daughter, Grace Marie Burns of Holly Springs; a son, Ricky Sanderson of Buzzard Bay, Mass., a stepson, Joseph Finley of Memphis, Tenn., a sister, Mary Turner of Jackson, Mich.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gladys Sanderson.

Pallbearers were Michael Nunnally, Clayton Campell III, Patrick Campbell, Terry Glover, Jonathan Jones, Shermon Miller. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Burton, Clayton Campbell Jr., Joseph Ford, Bennie Nunnally, Michael Anderson and Frank Savage.

Kenneth Samuel Carlisle
Kenneth Samuel Carlisle, 46, of Byhalia, died June 26, 2005 at his home. He was a Baptist.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on June 30 at Flag Lake Baptist Church in Strayhorn. Burial was in the church cemetery. Womble Funeral Home, Charleston, was in charge of arrangements. Rev. J.C. Thomas officiated.

He leaves a companion who cared for him, Kimberly Mixon; four sisters, Mary Catherine Fix of Oxford, Mattie Lorece DipBoye of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rebecca Dale Carlisle of Tahlequah, Okla., Margaret Imogene Carlisle of Stillwell, Okla.; five brothers, Thomas Leroy Carlisle of Crenshaw, David Lee Carlisle of Charleston, Navis Genie Carlisle of Ardmore, Okla., Benjamin House Carlisle of Missouri, Anthony Louis Carlisle of Horn Lake.

Jackie Crawford
Jackie Crawford, 58, of Michigan City, died Monday, June 27, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto in Southaven. He was born in Benton County. He moved to Chicago in 1966; he stayed there for 20 years, then moved back to Mississippi.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on July 3 at Samuel Chapel Baptist Church in Ashland. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Joseph Davis Jr. officiated. Serenity Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves three sons, Tarrence Crawford, Jackie Crawford, both of Chicago, Ill., Kenny Robinson of Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter, Chandra Crawford of Chicago, Ill.; his mother, Floy B. Smith of Michigan City; a brother, Tom Berry Jr. of Racine, Wisc.; two sisters, Alberta Johnson of Oakland, Calif., Diane Gamble of Birmingham, Ala.; and five grandchildren.

Jo Margaret Good
Jo Margaret Good, 59, of Lamar, died June 28, 2005 at Baptist Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. She was a secretary with banking/retail.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on July 3 at Bridgeway Baptist Church in Barton, where she was a member. Bro. Gary Adams officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her dearest and closest friend, Robert L. Abbot of Lamar; a brother, Hubert Holman of Fairview Park, Ohio; and a sister, Janet Spect of Rocky River, Ohio.

Linda Gurner Maholm
Linda Gurner Maholm, 55, of Holly Springs, died July 1 at Baptist East in Memphis. She was a Baptist, and co-owner of Byhalia Drug Co. where she was a pharmacy technician. She was one of the founders of the Clydesdale Christmas Store and a member of the MS State Dugout Club. She loved baseball.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on July 3 at the Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery.

She leaves her husband, Gary Maholm; two sons, Michael L. Maholm and Paul G. Maholm, both of Holly Springs; her parents, Edwin Claitor Gurner and Erma Thompson; one brother, Jimmy Gurner of Jackson; and one sister, Kathy Arich of Madison.

Memorials may be made to the Clydesdale Christmas Store.

Helen Stanton Moore
Helen Stanton Moore, 59, of Holly Springs, died June 29 at her home. She was Pentecostal.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on July 3 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery.

She leaves her husband, James D. Moore; two daughters, Reba M. Trayler of Sheridan, Wyo., Karen M. Moore of Richmond, Va.; three brothers, Kenneth Stanton of Potts Camp, Richard Stanton of Jackson, Tenn., David Stanton of Potts Camp; five sisters, Joann Feasel of Olive Branch, Ruth Johnson of Bebe, Ark., Wilma Allen of Lamar, Shelia Stanton of Tunica, Betty Clarkson; three grandchildren.

Kelly D. Wooten
Kelly D. Wooten, 26, of Senatobia, died June 28, 2005 at Batesville. He was a construction worker.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on July 2 at Mt. Moriah CME Church in Como. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves one daughter, Lakala McNeal of Como; two sons, Kelly Deowen Wooten Jr. of Como and Kevious Deowen McGhee of Senatobia; his mother, Corine Wooten of Senatobia; four sisters, Rosie Burton, Caroline Burton, Mae Wooten, all of Senatobia, Mary Ward of Como; three brothers, Johnny Wooten, Elvis Burton, both of Como, Jimmy Wooten of Laws Hill.
