Luccile A. Buck, 91, Wahpeton, N.D., died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at her home under the care of Riveredge Hospice.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, and one hour before the service at the church on Friday.

Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton, in the spring.

Rosemary A. Dahlgren, 85

Rosemary A. Dahlgren, 85, Wahpeton, N.D., died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at her home in Wahpeton.

The funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Wahpeton, with the Rev. Dale Lagodinski officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 with a 4:30 Christian Mothers Rosary and a 7 p.m. prayer vigil at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home; there will also be visitation one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wahpeton, in the spring.

Margaret Amelia Nash, 89

Margaret Amelia Nash, 89, Fort Collins, Colo., died of natural causes on Feb. 22, 2011.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 502 E Pitkin St., Fort Collins, with a reception following at 4 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Center, 650 West Drake Rd, Fort Collins, Colo., (970)482-3208.

James “Jim” L. Kraus, 70

James “Jim” L. Kraus, 70, Wahpeton, N.D., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at his home in Wahpeton.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 3 at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Visitation with Jim’s family will be from 2 p.m. to the time of service.

Burial will be held in the spring at Veblen, S.D.

Tillie (Thurlow) Saulsbury, 90

Tillie (Thurlow) Saulsbury, 90, Mandan, N.D., formerly of Wahpeton, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Mandan Living Center.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 12, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Marlyn Haugen, 79

Marlyn Haugen, 79, Wahpeton, N.D., and formerly of Wyndmere, N.D., died Thursday March 10, 2011, at St. Catherine’s Living Center, Wahpeton. Arrangements are pending with the Vertin-Munson Wahpeton Funeral Home.

Richard Holm, 67

Richard Holm, 67, rural Alamo, N.D., died at his home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, March 3, 2011.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Williston, N.D., with the Revs. Sue Seiffert and Steve Anderson officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Everson Funeral Home of Williston Friday, and at the church on Saturday for the hour preceding the service.

Burial will follow in the Bethany (Appam) Cemetery.

Agnes C. Kragness, 88

Agnes C. Kragness, 88, Wahpeton, N.D., died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at St. Catherine’s Living Center, Wahpeton.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

There will be visitation with the family one hour prior to the service.

Vertin-Munson Funeral Home in in charge of arrangements.

Margaret D. Smith, 87

Margaret D. Smith, 87, Fargo, N.D., formerly of Ottertail Lake, Minn., died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Fargo.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22 at St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church in Fargo.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21 with a 6:30 p.m. rosary followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony's. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home of Breckenridge, Minn., is in charge of arrangements.

Rodney “Rod” Nordick, 53

Rodney “Rod” Nordick, 53, Abercrombie, N.D., died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, at his residence under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Wahpeton, N.D., with the Rev. Dale Lagodinski officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28 with a 6 p.m. prayer service at Willow Creek Chapel, (920 3rd Ave N.) Wahpeton. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.

Arrangements are with Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Rodney “Rod” Joseph Nordick was born Nov. 15, 1957, to Lyle and Mary (Riddering) Nordick in Breckenridge, Minn. He was raised in Dwight Township near Dwight, N.D., and attended school in Dwight and later went to school in Wahpeton where he graduated in 1976. He attended the electrical technician program at North Dakota State College of Science until he started working for Twin City Electric. In 1987, Rod and his brother Tim started Nordick Electric in Wahpeton and ran it until the present time. They eventually expanded it to locations in Wishek, N.D., and Wheaton, Minn. In 1996, Rod and Julie Lehman moved to a home along the Red River south of Abercrombie where he enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

Rod was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Wahpeton and the Eagle’s Club. Rod was known to work hard and play harder, and he enjoyed snowmobiling, golf, hunting, bowling, and many other activities. He also enjoyed getting away to the “hunting lodge” in Wishek where he could unwind.

Rod is survived by: Julie Lehman, Abercrombie; his son, Michael Nordick, Abercrombie; his father, Lyle (JoAnn) Nordick, rural Wahpeton; his mother, Mary Nordick, Madison, Wis.; his brother, Tim (Tracy) Nordick, rural Wahpeton; his two step-brothers, Tony (Susan) Ehrens, Connecticut, Dean (Ana) Ehrens, Wahpeton; his niece and nephew, Casey and Alexandra Nordick; his step-niece and nephews, Joey, Emma, and Ian Ehrens; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and very good friends, including Arnie Ehlert, Leland Falk and his son Michael’s godfather, Andy Beyer.

He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Joe and Clara Nordick, Ernest and Grace Riddering; and many aunts and uncles.

Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley or the Roger Maris Cancer Center.
