Gene B. Anderson
Memorial services for Gene B. Anderson, 76, Sacramento, Calif., were held at the Lutheran Church of the Masters in Sacramento. Mr. Anderson died Friday, March 19, 2004.
He is survived by a son, Gene Anderson, Jr.; one daughter, Alice Anderson Summer; five grandchildren; two sisters, Bev Larson, Enderlin, Marie Anderson, West Fargo and numerous nieces and nephews.

William Redmann
Funeral services for William “Bill” Redmann, 47, Grand Forks, N.D., were held on Saturday, March 20, 2004 in West Funeral Home, West Fargo. Reverend Steve Thompson officiated. Mr. Redmann died Monday, March 15, 2004 in his home.
William Redmann, son of Otto and Leone (Welke) Redmann was born on August 9, 1956 in Valley City. In December of 1956 the family moved to Tower City, N.D., where Bill attended school, graduating as the class valedictorian in 1974. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tower City. Bill attended NDSU for one year before transferring to UND where he graduated with a degree in computer science in 1978. Bill worked for the Town House Motor Inn of Fargo before transferring to the Town House Motor Inn of Grand Forks. He also was employed as an independent computer consultant at the time of his death. Bill was a member of the Mensa International Club.
He is survived by his mother, Leone Redmann, West Fargo; brother, David Redmann, West Fargo; two sisters, Donna (Don) Solberg, West Fargo, Sandra Redmann, Fargo; and a niece.
Honorary pallbearers for the funeral were Gary Gunderson, Travis McLeod, Don Solberg and Leo Werlinger.
Music was provided by soloist Rev. Steve Thompson.
Interment at Enderlin Cemetery.
West Funeral Home, West Fargo and Casselton, was in charge of arrangements.

Madalyn C. Kuhn
Funeral services for Madalyn C. Kuhn, 86, West Fargo, were held on Monday, March 22, 2004 at Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo. The Rev. Dr. Peter Schmidt officiated. Mrs. Kuhn died Thursday, March 18, 2004 at MeritCare Hospital South University with Hospice care.
Madalyn C. Brehmer, daughter of Fredrick and Effie (Gordon) Brehmer was born on July 6, 1917 in Lisbon. She graduated from Lisbon High School and then attended Interstate Business College in Fargo. Madalyn worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for Palace Clothers in Moorhead.
In 1947, she married Mark J. Kuhn. They built their home in West Fargo. Mark died in 1951. Following Mark’s death she worked as a secretary for the Social Security Office, IRS and at NDSU. Madalyn semi-retired in 1982 and worked at Hardees in West Fargo for many years. In 2002, Madalyn moved from her West Fargo home to Bethany Homes Towers II in Fargo.
She is survived by a son, Mark (Rhonda) Kuhn, Kindred; four granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Brehmer, Brainerd, Minn.; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Fernow, Enderlin and Lorraine Cox, Fargo; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark, twin sister, Adalyn Schoover; her parents and a granddaughter.
Honorary pallbearers were her granddaughters.
Music was provided by organist Rev. Steve Thompson and soloist Vicki Schmidt.
West Funeral Home, West Fargo, was in charge of arrangements.

Esther Albertson
Funeral services for Esther Albertson, 97, LaMoure, N.D., were held on Saturday, March 6, 2004 at Zoar Lutheran Church, LaMoure. Reverend John Estrem officiated. Mrs. Albertson died Sunday, February 29, 2004 in Arlington, Texas.
Esther, Kjellin, daughter of Frank Emil and Hannah Kjellin, Langford, S.D., was born on October 19, 1906, twelve days after they arrived in the United States from Sweden. In 1913 the family moved to Gwinner where Esther attended school and was confirmed at Gustaf Adolf Lutheran Church. When her mother died in 1920 she became the homemaker for her father and siblings.
On June 24, 1931, she married Peter Albertson. They moved to Lisbon. In 1934 they bought the Highway Service Station from A.O. Foster of Oakes and moved to LaMoure. Pete died in March of 1979 in Arizona. In 1993 Esther moved to Arlington, Texas. At Zoar Lutheran Church, she was a vital member of the women’s organization where she belonged to a circle and helped with the construction of countless quilts. She also taught Sunday School and Bible School and sang in the choir.
In the community she was a member of Homemakers Club, served for several years as the county chairperson for the American Cancer Society fund drive and sang with the Singalongs.
She is survived by son, Don (Carroll) Albertson, Burlington, Vt.; two daughters, Angelyn Akins, Arlington, Texas and Merida (Richard) Abraham, Shoreview, Minn.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Hannah Kjellin, husband, Peter, brothers, George, Allen Kjellin and Bert Kjellin, sister, Edythe Kjellin and one grandson.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Scott Albertson, Cara Albertson, Randy Akins, Doug Akins, Tim Abraham, and Ben Abraham.
Special music was provided by Marcia Young as pianist and Jan Hird as both organist and soloist.
Interment at Rosehill Cemetery near LaMoure in the spring.

Esther A. Olson
Funeral services for Esther A. Olson, 98, Valley City, were held on Friday, March 5, 2004 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, Minn. Reverend Paul Nelson officiated. Mrs. Olson died Monday, March 1, 2004 at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City.
Esther Amanda Sandness, daughter of Rasmus and Carrie (Aarheim) Sandness was born on July 18, 1905 in Greenville Township, LaMoure County, N.D. She was baptized and confirmed at High Prairie Lutheran Church, LaMoure, N.D. She attended rural school and as a young woman worked for neighbors in their homes. In 1934 she moved to Fargo where she worked for several families and in the food services of St. Luke’s and St. John's hospitals. She later moved to Fergus Falls, where she worked as a waitress.
In 1947, she married Selvin Olson and they lived in Minneapolis. She worked as a waitress at Dayton’s, in laundry at Swedish Hospital and helped manage apartment houses. In 1968 they moved to Fergus Falls. Selvin died in 1972. Esther moved to the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City in 1994. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.
She is survived by one step-son, Richard Olson, Mill Valley, California; two step-daughters, Shirley Fairbanks, Prescott, Ariz. and Winnifred Kasinak, Sun City, Calif.; two sisters, Anetta Tomt, Sandpoint, Idaho and Opal Spike, Oakdale, Minn. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Interment at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Fergus Falls, Minn.

Kenneth A. Peterson
Funeral services for Kenneth A. Peterson, 71, Enderlin, formerly Verona, were held on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Verona. Reverend David Isaacson and Reverend Norman Anderson officiated. Mr. Peterson died Friday, February 27, 2004 at home in Enderlin.
Kenneth A. Peterson, son of Napoleon and Mary (Kile) Peterson was born on August 31, 1932 in rural Englevale, N.D. He attended school in rural Englevale and Lisbon.
On May 7, 1955, he married Donna M. Klink, in Webster, S.D. They farmed near Verona. Kenny drove school bus for the Verona School. He also drove the Ransom County Senior Citizen van. In 1999 he moved to Enderlin. He served on the Hanson Township Board for many years. She died October 22, 1998.
He is survived by his special friend, Shirley Stoffel, Enderlin; one son, Tim (Janet) Peterson, Lisbon; one daughter Bonnie (Steve) Hintzman, New York Mills, Minn; six grandchildren, Jeremy Sommerland-Peterson, Jamey Sommerland-Peterson, Sholauna Peterson, Shylan Peterson, Michael Zehring, Zach Hintzman; five sisters, Iona Toyne, Lisbon, Lillian Brewer, West Fargo, Lois Mammenga, West Fargo, Phyllis Jackson, Shelton, Wash., Shirley Mae Stoppleworth, Kent, Wash.; one brother, Gordon (Brenda) Peterson, Hubbard, Ore. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna and sister, Marlyn Walock.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Larry Brewer, Jim Brewer, Shane Walock, Roger Mammenga, Delwood Mammenga, Tim Waldner, Miles Raatz, Hardy Glanzer. Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Music was provided by organist Marlene Dahl and soloist Wayne Strander.
Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.
Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon, was in charge of arrangements.

Louise Kellerman
Funeral services for Louise Kellerman, 81, Enderlin, were held on Monday, March 1, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Enderlin. Reverend Mike Toomey officiated. Mrs. Kellerman died Thursday, February 26, 2004 at Maryhill Manor, Enderlin.
Louise Pelzmann, daughter of Paul and Amalia (Rosenkranz) Pelzmann was born on June 28, 1922 in Bocksdorf, Austria. She attended school in Lucca, N.D.
On August 1, 1948, she married Kenneth Kellerman, in Moorhead, Minn. They farmed near the Leonard and Sheldon areas until 1975. In 1982 they moved to Enderlin. Louise was a member of WELCA and Mary Circle. Kenneth died April 11, 1990.
She is survived by three sons, Larry (Merry) Kellerman, Leonard, Wayne (Kristy) Kellerman, Enderlin David (Jeannie) Kellerman, Enderlin; one daughter, Karen Dalos, Fargo; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, William (Shirley) Kellerman, Sullivan, Wis. and James (Marlene) Kellerman, Ixonia, Wis.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Bryan Kellerman, Trey Kellerman, Jared Kellerman, Kameron Muscha, Wade Nygaard, Charles Lemna, John Baarstad, and Mike Spiekermeier.
Honorary pallbearers were Erik Kellerman, Karlie Muscha, Tera Nygaard, Melissa Lemna, Jessica Kellerman.
Music was provided by organist Gretchen Hoy and soloist Nancy Farnham.
Interment at Enderlin Cemetery, Enderlin

Jesse R. Vasicek
Funeral services for Jesse R. Vasicek, 22, Carthage, Tenn., formerly Lakota, N.D., were held on Monday, March 1, 2004 at the Church of St. Mary, Lakota. Father Scott Sautner and Deacon Jim Carpenter. officiated. Mr. Vasicek died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 in an automobile accident in Carthage.
Jesse R. Vasicek, son of Richard Vasicek and Cindy Smaage was born May 25, 1981 at Devils Lake. He was raised and educated in Lakota, Garrison and Park River, N.D. He worked for a time at ABC Seamless in Bismarck. He moved to Carthage, Tenn. in June of 2003.
On September 12, 2003, he married Tiffany J. Carpenter, in Carthage. He worked at various places in Carthage, including Dell Corporation and Bonnell Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Tiffany Vasicek, Carthage; daughter, Faith Vasicek, Carthage; father, Richard (Barbara) Vasicek, Pleasant Shade, Tenn.; mother Cindy Smaage, Park River, N.D.; sister, Ashley Vasicek, East Grand Forks, Minn.; two step-brothers, John Behles, Colstrip, Mont., Jesse Behles, Dickinson; two grandfathers, Harold Smaage, Michigan, N.D. and Walter Vasicek, Lisbon; step-grandmother, Esther Ellison, Garrison, N.D.; father and mother-in-law, Tim and Noreen Carpenter, Walhalla, N.D. He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Betty Vasicek and Mavis Smaage.
Pallbearers for the funeral were John Behles, Jesse Behles, Nathan Vasicek, Dustin Fisk, Derrick Fisk, Rory Fjeld and Ryan Askim.
Honorary bearers were Ryan Williams, Garriet Gestson, Dean Jelinek, Joseph Pic, Jason Dahl, Jerod Trenda, Brad Lund, Clay Hazelman, Kory Kalgard, Mathew Hajicek, Dylan Schindele, Terry Howatt and Jed Carpenter.
Music was provided by organist Barb Johnson and special music by Lonnie Gestson and the St. Mary’s Church choir.
Interment at Lakota Cemetery, Lakota.
Aaker Funeral Home, Lakota, was in charge of arrangements.
