Earl M. Lindvold
Funeral services for Earl M. Lindvold, 90, Nome, N.D., were held Monday, April 12, 2004 at Waldheim Lutheran Church, Kathryn, N.D., with Rev. Bradley Edin officiating. Mr. Lindvold died April 8, 2004 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Earl Myron Lindvold was born May 25, 1913 in Nome, the son of Emil E. and Ingeborg (Peterson) Lindvold. He attended the Lindvold School in Thordenskjold Township near Nome and Nome High School for two years.
Earl was a lifelong resident of Nome where he farmed. He was a good neighbor to many. He was a member of Waldheim Lutheran Church where he helped mow the lawn until the age of 89.
He is survived by his sister, Evelyn (Julian) Magli, Minneapolis, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and six sisters.
Interment at Waldheim Cemetery, Kathryn.
Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City, was in charge of arrangements.

Alice Miulenburg
Memorial services for Alice Miulenburg, 83, Smithsfield, Pa., were held in Smithsfield. Mrs. Miulenburg died Thursday, April 8, 2004 at Cherrytree Nursing Home, Uniontown, Pa.
Alice Hanson was born July 27, 1920, the daughter of Bennie and Sylvia Hanson, Lisbon. She graduated from Lisbon High School.
She married Leroy Miulenburg of Enderlin on March 2, 1944 in the Zion Lutheran Church in rural Lisbon. After Leroy returned from the Navy in 1945 they farmed and had a repair shop near Enderlin.
In 1965 they moved to Smithsfield, Pa. where Leroy worked on highline construction and Alice worked in nursing homes.
Leroy died September 14, 1988.
Alice is survived by a son, Roger, Smithsfield, Pa.; two daughters, Linda Miulenburg, Smithsfield, Pa., and Joyce Rice, Coraoplis, Pa.; a sister, Stella Kappel, Lisbon; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Karen; two brothers, Bernie, Lisbon, and Robert, Mt. Pleasant, Mich.
Burial was at Smithsfield, Pa.

Donald O. Jordet
Funeral services for Donald O. Jordet, 77, Enderlin, were held on Friday, April 16, 2004, at 2:00p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Enderlin. Rev. Leon Zavadil officiated. Mr. Jordet died Wednesday, April 13, 2004, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Donald O. Jordet, son of Mike and Alma (Ness) Jordet was born on May 29, 1926, in Sacred Heart, MN. He attended rural Enderlin school. He served in the US Navy from 1944-1946 on the USS Yorktown.
On August 14, 1960, he married Dora Mae Zaeske, in Leonard, ND. He was co-owner of Enderlin Moblie Station with his brother, Melborne for 17 years. He worked at Hanson Motors in Lisbon until retiring in 1989. He was a lifetime member of the Enderlin VFW, where he served on the gaming committee.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Jordet, Enderlin; onr daughter, Monica (Kendall) Nichols, Climax, MN; one son, Jerroll, Fargo; two brothers Sylvester (Beatrice), Enderlin; Melborne (Dorothy), Enderlin; one sister, Dorothy (Donny) Fernow, Alexandria, MN; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Mike Jordet, Kevin Jordet, Sean Nichols, Seain Nichols, Doug Jordet, Brad Jordet, Steve Fernow, Rick Fernow and Honorary pallbears were VFW Members and Men’s Coffee Group.
Music was provided by organist Shirley Hanson and soloist Willard Lee.
Interment at Watson Cemetery, Leonard, ND.
Armstrong Funeral Home, Enderlin, was in charge of arrangements.

Arlo J. Wayman
Funeral services for Arlo J. Wayman, 64, Fargo, were held on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 in Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo. Mr. Wayman died Friday, April 23, 2004 in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo following a brief battle with cancer.
Arlo J. Wayman, son of Arlo J. and Mary Ann O. (Hovdestad) Wayman. He was born on May 4, 1939 in Fargo. He grew up and attended school in Park Rapids and Glyndon, Minn. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 until 1960.
In 1961, he married Lauren Robinson. He attended Interstate Business College in Fargo and graduated with a degree in Accounting. He traveled extensively for several years. On August 10, 1985 he married Debora Wren in West Fargo. They made their home in West Fargo before moving to Fargo in 1998. He worked for Fargo Tank for eleven years.
He is survived by his wife, Deb, Fargo; three daughters, Terese (Abraham) Garcia), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lynn (Rafael) Sanchez, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Heather Wren, Fargo; seven grandchildren; one brother (Larry) Gale) Wayman, Sheldon; three sisters, Mary Bock, Horace, N.D., Sandy (Bob) Holm, Glyndon, and Judith (Don) Cocherell, Dilworth.
Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, was in charge of arrangements.

Harley E. Costain
Funeral services for Harley E. Costain, 85, Milnor, were held on Friday, April 30, 2004 at Milnor Lutheran Church, Milnor. Reverend Harold Vold officiated. Mr. Costain died Monday, April 26, 2004 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Harley Edgar Costain, son of Burton and Kate (Rundell) Costain was born on July 13, 1918 at DeLamere. He attended school in Rosmeade Township and DeLamere. After his schooling, Harley farmed the family farm.
On April 4, 1948, he married Elaine Johnson at the Milnor Lutheran Church, Milnor. They made their home and continued to farm the family farm until 1985, when they retired and moved to Milnor. Harley had served on the Milnor Lutheran Church Council, the Rosemeade Township Board, Milnor Swimming Pool Board and the Milnor Housing Board.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; a daughter, Linda Costain, Stanton, N.D.; two sons, Darrell (Arlene) Costain, West Fargo and Mark (Dawn) Costain, Bismarck; four grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne (Margaret) Costain and Floyd (Mildred) Costain, all of Milnor; three sisters, Estelle Costain, Forest Grove, Ore., Eleanor Thompson, Veronia, Ore. and Mayvis Solberg, Fargo. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Muriel and a younger brother, Merrill.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Bruce Speich, Craig Speich, Terry Dusek, Richard Costain, Allen Costain and Warren Solberg.
Special music was provided by Carol Ydstie, and Keith, Donna and Connie Johnson.
Interment at Milnor Lutheran Cemetery.

Jeffrey D. Thompson
Funeral services for Jeffrey D. Thompson, Fargo, 42, were held on Friday, April 30, 2004 at the West Funeral Home Chapel, Casselton. Mr. Thompson died Friday, April 23, 2004 near Glyndon, Minn. from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Jeffrey Dean Thompson, son of Jim Thompson and Eunice Brockman Nelson, was born on December 15, 1961 at LaMoure. The family moved to Lake Park, Ulen and Felton, Minn. areas when he attended school. He moved to North Dakota and attended school and became interested in mechanics and auto body repair.
He is survived by his father, Jim (Doris) Thompson, Wheatland, N.D.; mother, Eunice (LeRoy) Nelson, South Hill, Va; siblings, Carol Pfeifer, Halstad, Minn., Charlotte (Steve) Hoff, Hillsboro, Richard Thompson, South Hill, Va., Donald Thompson, South Hill, Va., Kelly Thompson, Wheatland, Dorene Thompson, Wheatland, Ken Nelson, California, Chris Nelson, South Carolina, Dawn Scott, South Carolina and Jennifer Nelson, Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marlys; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Patty Thompson.
Interment at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Stirum, N.D.
West Funeral Home Chapel, Casselton, was in charge of arrangements.

Bernadine L. Nicolai
Funeral services for Bernadine L. Nicolai, 97, Milnor, were held on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at St. Arnold’s Catholic Church, Milnor. Father Frank Miller officiated. Mrs. Nicolai died Saturday, April 24, 2004 at her home under hospice care.
Bernadine Lucille Glynn, daughter of Patrick Derby and Alma Rebecca (Smith) Glynn was born on March 31, 1907 at Kirksville, Mo. She spent her early years in Colusa, Ill. and Holly, Colo., until her family moved to the McLeod area in 1914. She attended Sydna Consolidated School, McLeod School and Milnor High School, graduating in 1925. She then attended Ellendale Normal and Industrial College at Ellendale. After graduating, Bernadine taught in one-room schools for several years.
On April 7, 1932, she married Edward Nicolai at Milnor. They made their home and farmed near Milnor until their retirement in 1969. After Edward’s death in 1973, Bernadine continued her residence in Milnor. She was an active member of St. Arnold’s Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was also a member of the Milnor Merry Makers Senior Citizens Club, which she helped organize.
She is survived by four sons, Vincent (Sandie) Nicolai, New Rockford, N.D., Richard (Patricia) Nicolai, Austin, Minn., Gerald (Betty) Nicolai, Milnor, and John (Kathleen) Nicolai, Tacoma, Wash.; five daughters, Mary Lu (James) Prante, Milnor, Frances Kosbab, St. Cloud, Minn., Eileen (James) Wilson, Locust Grove, Va., Kathleen (Jack) Rasmussen, Milnor, and Dorothea (Orville) Erickson, Forman; two brothers, Gerald Glynn, Fullerton and Kenneth Glynn, Richland, Wis.; three sisters, Marguerite Freeberg, Lisbon, Ruth Wilke, Fullerton, and Dorothy Schill, St. Paul Park, Minn., 35 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Sister Vincent (Marjorie), infant son, Joseph, one granddaughter, one brother, Vernon Glynn, and a sister, Mary Betting.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Michael Nicolai, Mary Jo Schroeder, Anne Nicolai, Steven Kosbab, Jill Weber, Beth Suthard, Scott Rasmussen, Christine Nicolai and Lance Erickson.
Sandy Seefeldt, Laurie Volk and Pat Olson provided special music for the service.
Interment at Calvary Cemetery, near Milnor.

John L. Greenmyer
Funeral services for John L. Greenmyer, 67, Lisbon, were held on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Stirum. Reverend Kirk Douglas officiated. Mr. Greenmyer died Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
John Lee Greenmyer, son of John and Pauline (Kempel) Greenmyer was born on October 30, 1936 in Denver, Colo. He attended school in Stirum and Gwinner.
On September 5, 1959, he married Nadine Miller in Marion, N.D.They farmed near Stirum until 1982. He then worked for Titan Machinery, Lisbon. He retired in 1999. They moved to Lisbon in 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine, Lisbon; one son, Kevon Greenmyer, Britton, S.D.; two daughters, Lori (Wayne) Pritchard, Verona and Paula (Darrell) Brummund, Oakes; son-in-law, Bruce Lander, Fargo; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosalyn (Ray) Brockman, Stirum and Ruth Greenmyer, Fargo. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark; daughter, Dee Lander; and a brother, James.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Bruce Lander, Dave Meyer, Ed Walton, Ray Brockman, Ed Engelbert and John Anderson. Honorary pallbearers were John’s grandchildren.
Music was provided by organist Gloria Bock and vocalists Reverend Kirk and Tammy Douglas.
Interment at Immanual Lutheran Cemetery, rural Stirum
