Carol E. Grosso (nee Frank), 85, of Millburn died March 4, 2010, in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, on Tuesday, March 9, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Millburn. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Grosso lived in Millburn for 57 years. She was a secretary with JCP&L; in Morristown for many years before retiring. Mrs. Grosso was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills and a volunteer at the Papermill Playhouse in Millburn and New Eyes for the Needy in Short Hills. Mrs. Grosso was appointed by Gov. Thomas Kean to be a volunteer advocate for residents of nursing homes. She was a vice president of the Mountainside chapter of Widows and Widowers.
She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Grosso; devoted mother of David J. and Jeanine M. Grosso; loving sister of the late Edward S. and John Stuart Frank and dear aunt of Edward Frank. She is also survived by Jessie, her beloved puppy.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jersey Animal Coalition, 298 Walton Ave., South Orange, N.J. 07079 would be appreciated.

Juliaette Marian Barradale Wheeler, 92, of Maplewoood, formerly of South Orange, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, in the Winchester Gardens Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian and Trinity Church, South Orange. Interment is private. Arrangements are by Preston Funeral Home, South Orange, N.J. For more information, please visit www.preston funeralhome.net. Born in South Orange, Mrs. Wheeler lived there for 85 years before moving to Maplewood. She was a daughter of Edward Morgan Barradale, a former president of the Village of South Orange, and Vara Wheeler Stewart Barradale. Mrs. Wheeler was a 1934 graduate of Columbia High School and a 1938 graduate of the New Jersey College for Women (NJC), now Douglass College. At the First Presbyterian & Trinity Church, she was a church elder for over 30 years, serving on many committees; a church kindergarten schoolteacher for over 13 years, and was president of the church's Women's Association for decades. She also served as president of the Montrose Elementary School PTA in the 1950's. Mrs. Wheeler's interests were people and helping them, and family and travel. She was a descendant of one of New Jersey's early families that migrated from Connecticut to Newark in 1666, and cousin to George Washington. The beloved wife of the late Byron W. Wheeler Jr., she was the devoted mother of Marian W. Conn, Byron W. Wheeler III and Caroline W. Jacobus; dear sister of Alice Barradale Schaff and Stewart Dunbar Barradale; loving grandmother of Christopher, Caroline, Julianna, Katherine, Eva and Headley, and great-grandmother of Everett, Owen, Liliana, Cameran, Hannah and Zachary. In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Presbyterian and Trinity Church, 111 Irvington Ave., South Orange, N.J. 07079 would be appreciated.

Born in Grosse Point, Michigan, Mr. MacNaughton lived in Wyckoff for 40 yrs. He was a consultant and expert witness for Business Development International for many years. He was a graduate of Univ of Michigan with a B.S. in Engineering. Mr. MacNaughton was a Lieutenant in the US Navy 1943-1946. He served in the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Pacific during WW II. Mr. MacNaughton was a member of the I.E.E.E., American Civil Liberties Union and a former member of Wyckoff Board of Education.
He was the beloved husband of Madalyn Born MacNaughton. Devoted father of George Martin and W. James MacNaughton, and the late Ann MacNaughton, Titus and Katherine MacNaughton Schaefer. Dear brother Richard MacNaughton and Judee DeVoss and also survived by five grandchildren.

Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Monday, Oct. 20, at 9 a.m., thence to St. Joseph's Church, Maplewood, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Interment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visiting hours are on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Townsend lived in Maplewood for 60 years. She was the manager of the savings department at Crestmont Savings & Loan, Maplewood, where she worked from 1963 to 1976 before retiring. Mrs. Townsend was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Maplewood, the Maplewood Seniors #2, and the St. Joseph's Rainbow Seniors, Maplewood.
She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Townsend, and the devoted mother of Raymond J. Townsend Jr. and his wife, Marian, and Richard J. Townsend.

Mrs. Dinorah B. Tamayo Fores, 79, of West Orange, died on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, in St. Barnbas Medical Center, Livingston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 481 Sanford Ave., Vailsburg, on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment is in St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit. Visitation will be held at the Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. .
Born in Mayari, Cuba, Mrs. Fores lived in Vailsburg before moving to West Orange one year ago. A teacher with the Newark Board of Education at Newark Vocational High School, she taught English as a second language for several years before retiring. She was a graduated magna cum laude from Fordham University with a B.A. in English in 1982 and with honors from Kean University with a M.A. in education in 1989. Mrs. Fores was a Eucharist minister at Sacred Heart for many years; won honors for women with special achievements and was an accomplished pianist and artist.
She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Aldo Fores; devoted mother of Margarita Gavarny, Aldo A. Fores, Jose Fores, Ana Fores Pacheco, Lupi Fores, Dinorah T. Conte, Liesl Fores-Iza, Brian Fores and the late Jorge Fores; loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren; dear great-grandmother of Navio Delgado.

George F. Olson, 75, of Berkeley Heights, formerly of Millburn, died on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Overlook Hospital, Summit. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is at the Fair Mount Cemetery, Chatham. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Born in Summit, Mr. Olson lived in Millburn before residing in Berkeley Heights the last 20 years. He was battalion chief for the Millburn Fire Department from 1957 to 1995 before retiring. Mr. Olson served in the U.S. Army and was a member of FMBA, Millburn.
He was the beloved husband of the late Caroline Chirick Olson; devoted father of Nicole Olson, and dear brother of Carl and the late Amil Olson.

Joyce W. Wallingford
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Aug. 3, 1915
Departed on Oct. 3, 2008 and resided in Maplewood, NJ.
Joyce Wallingford (nee Weber), a former resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away Oct. 3, 2008, at the age of 93 in Maplewood. A memorial service will be in Ohio. Arrangements are by the Preston Funeral Home, South Orange. To send condolences, please visit prestonfuneralhome.net.
Mrs. Wallingford was the devoted wife of the late Landon L. Wallingford. She is survived by her loving son, Buckner; three grandchildren, David Walllingford, Emily Oquendo and Ann Melin, and three great-grandchildren.
