Joseph J. Harrigfeld, 82
Joseph J. Harrigfeld, 82, of Scotch Plains died on Tuesday, November 3, 1998 at home.
Born in Elizabeth, he had lived in Clark before moving to Scotch Plains 40 years ago.
Mr. Harrigfeld was the owner and a steel fabricator for Charles Goeller of Roselle Park for 55 years.
He served as an airplane and engine mechanic in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was predeceased by his wife, Vanetta Mae Joan Harrigfeld.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Blake-Mudryk of Flemington and Susan Harrigfeld of Scotch Plains; a sister, Dolores Ziobro of Freehold; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by the Walter J. Johnson Funeral Home in Clark.
Memorial donations may be made to the Rahway Hospital Hospice, Rahway, 07065.

Brianna N. Hroncich
Brianna Nicole Hroncich of Scotch Plains, four months old, died on Monday, November 2, 1998 in Union Hospital.
A Funeral Mass was offered on Friday, November 6, at the Catholic Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, following the funeral from the Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home in Westfield.
Surviving are her parents, Michael and Catherine Hroncich; her grandparents, John Bobish and Rocco and Hilda Hroncich, and her great-grandmother, Josephine Bobish.

Anthony Ricciardi, 74
Anthony Ricciardi, 74, of Bayville died on Wednesday, November 4, 1998 in the Westfield home of his daughter, Marie Sloan.
Born in Nutley, he had lived in Newark before moving to Bayville four years ago.
Mr. Ricciardi had owned Four Star TV Inc. in North Arlington for 30 years before retiring in 1985.
He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Also surviving are his wife, Rose Ricciardi; another daughter, Karen Kobelski; two sons, Anthony Ricciardi and Thomas Ricciardi; two brothers, Carmine Ricciardi and Michael Ricciardi; a sister, Anne Passafaro, and four grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was offered on Saturday, November 7, at St. Helen’s Roman Catholic Church in Westfield.
Arrangements were handled by the Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Avenue in Cranford.

Wylie Harriat, Sr., 80
Wylie Harriat, Sr., 80, of Westfield died on Saturday, October 31, 1998 at home.
Born in Rembert, South Carolina, he had moved to Westfield in 1947.
He had been a construction laborer for the Wilheim Construction Company in Elizabeth for 37 years before retiring in 1984.
Surviving are three sons, Wylie Harriat, Jr., Arthur L. Harriat and Sam Harriat; three daughters, Patricia Cleveland, Queen Gregory and Julie Carter; a brother, Henry Harriat; six sisters, Rosa Chatman, Bertha M. Kimble, Maggie Jackson, Ethel Godfrey, Elouise Long and Ester Powell; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 7, at the First Baptist Church in Linden. Arrangements were handled by the Smith Funeral Home in Elizabeth.

Joseph C. Petranich, 86
Joseph C. Petranich, 86, of Mountainside died on Thursday, November 5, 1998 in Overlook Hospital in Summit.
Born in Brooklyn, he had lived on Staten Island before moving to Mountainside 41 years ago.
Mr. Petranich had been a self-employed manufacturers’ representative in the picture frame and moldings industry in New York City for more than 55 years before retiring in 1984.
He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Petranich was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Springfield and the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Mountainside.
Surviving are a son, Frank A. Petranich, and two grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was offered on Monday, November 9, in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, following the funeral from the McCracken Funeral Home in Union.

Patrick J. Leahy, 61
Patrick James Leahy, 61, of Gulfport, Florida died on Wednesday, November 4, 1998 at home.
Born in The Bronx, he had lived in Fanwood before moving to Gulfport three years ago.
Mr. Leahy had been a computer analyst at Chemical Bank in New York City for 36 years prior to retiring in 1990.
He graduated from LaSalle Academy in New York City.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.
He was predeceased by his wife of 31 years, Sheila O’Toole Leahy, in 1994.
Surviving are his wife of three years, Louise Good Leahy; two sons, Patrick Leahy of Connecticut and James Leahy of Fanwood; a daughter, Kathleen Leahy of Pennsylvania, and two sisters, Kathleen Farmer and Ann Leahy, both of East Brunswick.
A Funeral Mass was offered on Tuesday, November 10, at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church in Plainfield, following services at the Higgins Home for Funerals in Watchung.

Floyd Edward Muse, 65
Floyd Edward Muse, 65, of Plainfield died on Tuesday, November 3, 1998 at home.
Born in Westfield, he had lived there for many years before moving to Plainfield.
He attended Westfield High School and was a member of Faith Fellowship Ministries in Edison.
He worked for Kentile Floors in South Plainfield.
Surviving are his wife, Emmaline Muse of Plainfield; two sons, David Whigham of Brooklyn and Kenneth Muse of New York City; four sisters, Shirley McCrea, Dorothy Muse and Elise Lee, all of Plainfield, and Rose Turner of Westfield; two brothers, Nathaniel Muse of Roselle and Florenze Freddy Muse of Westfield, and a granddaughter.
Arrangements were handled by the Plinton-Curry Funeral Home in Westfield.

Clifford M. Enz, 69
Clifford M. Enz, 69, of Piscataway died on Wednesday, November 4, 1998 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield.
Born in Kenilworth, he had lived in Georgetown, New York and in Scotch Plains before moving to Piscataway 39 years ago.
Mr. Enz was a graduate of Scotch Plains High School and also attended the Newark College of Engineering.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Enz was a member of Tri-Boro Memorial Post No. 5479 Veterans of Foreign Wars in Dunellen. He also served as Commander of the post from 1987 to 1991, and was a life member.
He was the first post member to be selected to the all-state team of post commanders in 1990-1991. Mr. Enz was a national aide-de-camp of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in 19911992, and served the post as the adjutant and service officer for many years.
Earlier, he was a member of the Vigilant Chapter, Order of Demolay, in Plainfield.
He was predeceased by five brothers, John Enz, Rudolph Enz, Richard Enz, Theophilus Enz and Helmut Enz.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Joan M. Gregory Enz; a daughter, Peggy A. Syzmanski of South Plainfield; two sisters, Glendora Dow of Toms River and Amanda Kalin of Morrisville, New York, and a brother, Albert Enz of El Cajon, California.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 7, at The Mundy Funeral Home in Dunellen.
