CHARLOTTE EMILE LEWIS, 77, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died Dec. 3 at home. She was born in Vienna, Austria. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Lewis, in 1985. She is survived by two sons, Harold Brandmahl and Leonard Lewis; three daughters, Alice Alfano, Mary Lynn Pizzuti, and Rosalyn Kenney; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

ROBERT T. MARTON, 59, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died Dec. 3 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Long Branch, he lived in Red Bank prior to moving to Port Monmouth three years ago. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert W. and Ruth E. Dunphy Marton. He is survived by his brother, Barry Marton of Slidell, La.; two sisters, Barbara Poletis of Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Betty Moore of Prescott, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was offered at AME Zion Church, Red Bank.

JAMES J. "JIM" COSTABILE, 87, of the Lincroft section of Middletown died Dec. 5 at Hospice Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in N.Y., he lived in Toms River, Bloomfield, and Newark prior to moving to Lincroft four years ago. He was a supervisor of bus information for NJ Transit, Maplewood, for 50 years, retiring 22 years ago. He was a communicant of St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Teresa Sicuranza Costabile in 1987. He is survived by his son, Richard Costabile of Prince Frederick, Md.; his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and George Weiss of Red Bank; his brother, Louis Costabile of Gilroy, Calif.; three sisters, Lena Catallo of Long Branch, Florence Criscuolo of Parlin, and Helen Rescigno of Eatontown; his companion, Peggy Yeager of Lincroft; and five grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft. Burial was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

PAUL J. KULIKOWSKI, 67, of Hazlet died Dec. 5 at Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Born in Germantown, N.Y., he lived in Jersey City and Bayonne prior to moving to Hazlet. Mr. Kulikowski was a butcher for A&P, Elizabeth, for 40 years, retiring in 1999. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was predeceased by a sister, Marion McConnell, in 1984. He is survived by three daughters, Marie Johnson of Union Beach, Linda Szymanski of Jersey City and Karen Kulikowski of Scotch Plains; a sister, Theresa Mauriello of Lynhurst; a brother, John Kulikowski; and four grandchildren.

CARMELO J. INFORTUNIO, 91, of Holmdel died Dec. 7 at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. Born in New York City, he lived in Middletown from 1977-99 and relocated to Holmdel two years ago. He was an electrician for Queens Transit, N.Y., for 32 years, retiring in 1973. He was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, East Keansburg section of Middletown. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmela Fabio Infortunio in 1977. He is survived by his son, Salvatore Infortunio of Queens, N.Y.; his daughter, Sandy Cribbin of Red Bank; two sisters, Eleanor Santora of N.Y., and Rose Fabio of Woodbridge; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, East Keansburg. Entombment was at Woodbridge Mausoleum.

JOHN ROBERT LONGETTE, 36, of Matawan died Dec. 7 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Perth Amboy, he lived in Keyport prior to moving to Matawan six years ago. He was the owner and operator of John Longette Trucking for 10 years. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Nicholas Miele Jr., this year. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Miele Longette of Matawan; his father and stepmother, Salvatore and Florence Longette of Middletown; his mother and stepfather, Marlene and Bill Kerchner of Keyport; his father- and mother-in-law, Nicholas and Carmela Miele of Holmdel; his brother-in-law, Joseph Miele of Holmdel; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Miele of Matawan, and Melanie Shroyer of Morganville; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Christine Longette of Freehold; his grandmother, Connie Longette of Matawan; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Memorial donations may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of America, 3350 N. Central Ave., Suite 300, Phoenix, AZ 85012-2107.

JAMES E. SWEENEY, 75, of Manalapan died Dec. 7 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Queens, N.Y., he lived in Matawan before moving to Manalapan six years ago. He was an agent for the Internal Revenue Service, Kingston, N.Y., before retiring in 1977. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. He is survived by his wife, Joan; a son and daughter-in-law, James J. and Kathleen of Roselle Park; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Thomas George of Marlboro, Susan and Bob Blacknick of Lincoln Park, and Irene and Timothy George of Manalapan; a sister, Sister Irene Sweeney, CSJ; and seven grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville 07834.

JULIA TESTINO, 83, of Matawan died Nov. 27 in Madison Center, Old Bridge. Her husband, Louis Testino Sr., died in 1983. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Rhoda Testino of the Parlin section of Sayreville; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A Mass was offered at St. Clement’s Church, Matawan. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

VICTORIA T. KERZIC, 65, of the Morganville section of Marlboro died Dec. 4 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Whitehouse Station, she had been a resident of Monmouth County for the past 22 years. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro. She was a member of the Kateri Environmental Center of Collier Services, Wickatunk section of Marlboro. She was a trustee of the John Paul II Cultural Center, Washington, D.C.; and a member of the Morris County Chapter of Legatus. She is survived by her husband, Patrick; three sons, Duane and Bruce, both of New Brunswick, and Kevin of Matawan; two sisters, Julia Paniekowski of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Mary Koslak of Suitland, Md.; and two grandchildren. The funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Church, followed by entombment at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, Marlboro. Memorial donations may be made to Collier Services, 160 Conover Road, Wickatunk 07765-0300.

GRACE AZZOLINA SCADUTO, 73, of Middletown died Nov. 26 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Highlands, she resided in Middletown since 1953. She was secretary-treasurer for 45 years at the Middletown-based Food Circus Supermarkets, which she co-founded with her brother, Joseph Azzolina. She was a parishioner and volunteer at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. She also served as past president of St. Mary’s Elementary School PTA. Her charitable activities included chairing the Central Jersey Chapter of the March of Dimes annual spring ball, for which she earned the Franklin Award, Rising Star Award, and March of Dimes Outstanding Volunteer Leadership Award. She served on several boards, including the Association of Retarded Citizens, Brookdale Community College Foundation, Family & Children’s Service, and Monmouth Council of Girl Scouts, which honored her with the Women of Leadership Award. She also received the Spinnaker Volunteer-of-the-Year Award from the Eastern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Community Service Award from the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce. Her political activities included serving on the boards of the National Federation of Republican Women, member and past president of the New Jersey Federation of Republican Women, and state committeewoman for Monmouth County from 1985 until present. She was chairwoman of the hospitality committee for the first Republican convention in the history of New Jersey to adopt the Republican platform, and was also the state federation’s Woman-of-the-Year. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Louis Scaduto of Middletown; two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Eileen Scaduto, and Louis and Susan Scaduto Jr., all of Middletown; two daughters and one son-in-law, Carol and John Tarpey, and Lisa Giordano, all of Middletown; her brother, Joseph Azzolina of Middletown; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. Entombment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to the Central Jersey Chapter of the March of Dimes, Attn.: Nancy Fama, Food Circus Supermarkets, 853 Route 35, Middletown 07748.
