PAMELA JOHNSTON BADRICK, 62, of Middletown died Nov. 22 at home. Born in West Sussex, England, she moved to the United States in 1961 and resided in Middletown the past 31 years. She was a director for Turn-Key Technologies, Edison, for three years. She was also employed as a tech illustrator for Telos Corp., Fort Monmouth; as well as Time-Life Magazine, N.Y. Her hobbies included gardening and spending time with her dog "Kristy." She was predeceased by her husband, John Badrick in 1999. She is survived by three sons, Gary Badrick of the Leonardo section of Middletown, Craig Badrick of Jackson, and Steve Badrick of Middletown; her brother, Michael Johnston of England; and three grandchildren.

IDA M. D’ALESSANDRO, 82, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, died Nov. 29 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born Italia Gaetana LaPalermo in Jersey City, she later changed her name and lived in Jersey City until moving to Port Monmouth in 1966. She was employed by Gibraltar Corp. and Mechanic’s Finance, Jersey City; and RCA, Harrison, during the 1940s and 1950s. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. She was a member of the Middletown Senior Center at Croydon Hall. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Dominick D’Alessandro, in 1999; and a sister and brother, Helen and Peter. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Marylou D’Alessandro of Colts Neck, and Frank D’Alessandro of Asbury Park; two sisters, Mary Belucci of Elmonte, Calif., and Concetta Cardiello of Hypersville, Pa.; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church. Entombment was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

OTTILIA M. McGOWAN, 83, of Middletown died Nov. 29 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Newark, she lived there prior to moving to Middletown, where she lived most of her life. She worked as a cashier for W.T. Grant, Middletown, for 25 years, retiring in 1972. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179, Port Monmouth section of Middletown; and a former member of the East Keansburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Peter McGowan, in 1992. She is survived by her son, Dennis McGowan of Atlantic Highlands; her daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and James West of Jackson; her sister, Bernadette Murphy of Virginia; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth.

REGINA GALANO, 64, of Middletown died Nov. 30 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she relocated to Middletown 36 years ago. She was an administrative assistant for six years for the FBI, New York City, prior to her marriage. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Her memberships included a past member of the St. Mary’s PTA, the Mothers Club of Christian Brothers Academy, and the Society of Former FBI Women. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Vincent Michael Galano Sr. in 2000. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Kathleen Galano of Little Silver, and Vincent and Wendy Galano Jr., and Robert and Jean Galano, all of Middletown; her daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Gregory Acken of Middletown; and 12 grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth, followed by entombment at Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to The Center for Hospice Care at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch 07740.

JOHN A. SOMMER, 84, of Keyport died Nov. 22 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Trenton, he lived there until moving to Keyport 58 years ago. He was employed by Tingley Rubber, Plainfield, for 20 years. Prior to that, he was a potter for Richmond Rheem, Metuchen, for 33 years, retiring in 1963. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a life member, as well as past post commander for Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4247, Keyport. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rose Lambertson Sommer of Keyport; his daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette and George Ward of Orlando, Fla.; his sister, Theresa Geck of Whiting; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport, followed by entombment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

ANTONIO BONADUCE, 74, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died Dec. 2 at his son’s residence in Middletown. Born in Terma, Italy, he moved to the United States in 1935 and lived in Queens, N.Y., prior to relocating to Monmouth County in 1964. He was a maintenance supervisor for the state of New Jersey, Trenton, for 17 years. Prior to that, he worked for Lilly Tulip Co., Holmdel, for 35 years. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and attained the rank of seaman first class. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Bonaduce. He is survived by two sons, Michael A. Bonaduce of Tinton Falls, and Anthony Bonaduce of Middletown; his sister, Virginia Rafaniello of Northport, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be Dec. 5 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral gathering will be Dec. 6 at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 9:30 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, East Keansburg section of Middletown. Burial will be at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown.

JAMES EDWARD MOORE, 70, a lifelong resident of Monmouth County, died Nov. 28 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City. Born in Brooklyn, he was a commodities futures trader for Comex, and Nymex, New York City, for 50 years, as well as the owner and operator of Browns Point Marine, Keyport, for the past 20 years. He was a communicant of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. He was a member of the National Guard, as well as the Knights of Columbus. He was predeceased by his sons, James E. Moore Jr. in 1975, and Daniel J. Moore in 1990; his brother, John Moore in 1997; and his sister, Florence Hunter in 1961. He is survived by his wife and daughter, Anne Kristin Moore and Theresa Olsen, both of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; his daughter, Martha Moore-Stoll of Charlottesville, Va.; his sister, Joan Riordan of Atlanta; and four grandchildren. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. Memorial donations may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Box E, 1275 York Ave., New York, NY 10021.

THOMAS RICCA, 74, of Hazlet died Nov. 27 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he resided in Hazlet the past 42 years. He was a New York Port Authority police officer and police officer for Bridges & Tunnels for 20 years, retiring in 1973. Following retirement, he was a pari-mutuel at Monmouth Park Racetrack, Oceanport and Meadowlands Racetrack, East Rutherford. He was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Keyport; his community activities included coaching Hazlet Little League. He is survived by his wife, Emily Vazquez Ricca of Hazlet; four sons, Edward Ricca of Las Vegas, Nev., Joseph Ricca of Hazlet, Guy Ricca of Neptune, and Christopher Ricca of Hazlet; two daughters, Rosary Pallante of Medford, and Gloria Ricca of Las Vegas; his sister, Josephine Caruso of West Long Branch; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral Mass was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Burial was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

HARRY RICHARD ANGERSTEIN, 70, of Keyport died Nov. 30 at home. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Middletown for 33 years and relocated to Keyport in 1996. He was a warehouseman for Wakefern Foods, Elizabeth, for 23 years, retiring in 1993. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Cooney Angerstein in 1990. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Fred Baatz of Wanamassa, and Patricia and Erik Shenk of Sewell; his mother-in-law, Emily Cooney of Keyport; and five grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

LOUIS SAKOWSKI, 82, of Matawan died Nov. 30 at home. Born in New York City, he was a lifelong Matawan resident. He was a construction worker with Local No. 72, Perth Amboy, for 25 years, retiring in 1979. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. His memberships included Woodmen of the World, and Local No. 72, Perth Amboy, for 25 years. He also owned and operated a roadside vegetable stand during the summer. He was predeceased by two brothers, Peter and Walter Sakowski. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sakowski; his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph S. and Marilyn Sakowski; and his daughter, Anne Jeleniewski, all of Matawan; three brothers, John Sakowski of Matawan, William Sakowski of Hazlet, and Stanley Sakowski of Neptune; five grandchildren; and eight grand-grandchildren. Entombment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. Memorial donations may be made to Garden State Hospice, 70 Jackson Drive, Cranford 07016.
