Edna I. Barber
ERIE - Edna I. Barber, 94, of Erie, formerly of Ripley, died Saturday (Oct. 9, 1999) in the Twinbrook Medical Center, Lawrence Park, Pa.
She was born Nov. 22, 1904, in Corry, Pa., the daughter of the late J. Earl and Nora Johnson Woodward.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ripley and the National Grange.
She was a well-known seamstress.
Surviving are a son, Herbert Barber of Westfield; a daughter, Myrna Zohns of Erie; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Barber; a brother; a sister; and a great-granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church, 24 W. Main St., Ripley. The Rev. Sue Kaiser, pastor, with officiate. A private interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry. No visitation will be observed. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ripley. Arrangements are by the Mathews Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Ripley.

Jerry Y. Danner
LITTLE VALLEY - Jerry Y. Danner, 69, of Fair Oak Street, died Monday (Oct. 11, 1999) in her home. Arrangements will be announced by Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St., Little Valley.

Eugene Gordon
SALISBURY, N.C. - Eugene Gordon, 79, of Salisbury, died Sunday (Oct. 10, 1999) in Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, N.C.
He was born July 8, 1920, in Red House, N.Y., the son of the late Clarence Gordon and Gertrude Jimerson Gordon.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was a carpenter and retired from Rowan Parks and Recreation.
He was a member of the Carpenters Union, the Seneca Indian Nation, the Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Post No. 342 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are a son, Brian Gordon of Spencer, N.C.; three daughters: Judy Goldin and Kristie Everhart of Salisbury and Jackie Pietrowski of Monroe, N.C.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dana Gordon of Randolph.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Beulah R. Gordon, Sept. 27, 1967, and his second wife, Eva F. Gordon, July 24, 1979. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Summersett Memorial Chapel, Salisbury. The Rev. Don Newman, pastor of Gay's Chapel United Methodist Church, Salisbury, will officiate.
Burial will be in U.S. National Cemetery, with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Rowan County Veteran Council. Friends will be received from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the Summersett Funeral Home, Salisbury. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Fannie Raymondo
LUDLOW - Fannie Raymondo, 88, of 402 Lincoln Ave., died Friday (Oct. 8, 1999) in the Lutheran Home, Kane.
She was born March 27, 1911, in Sheffield, the daughter of Joseph and Kathern Viscio. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are a son, Paul Raymondo of Ludlow; a daughter, Nancy Farr of Johnsonburg, Pa.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Mary Connelly of Erie; and one brother, Benedict Viscio of Sacramento, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Raymondo, whom she married June 18, 1927, in Sheffield; a child in infancy; two brothers; and one sister. A Mass of Christian
Burial was celebrated Oct. 9, 1999 in St. Callkistus Catholic Church. The Rev. Phillip Pinczewski, pastor, was celebrant.
Burial was in St. Callistus Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Callistus Catholic Church of the Ludlow Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements were by the Cummings Funeral Home, Kane.

Robert D. Swanson
YORK, Pa. - Robert D. Swanson, 77, of York, died at 1 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 9, 1999) in his home.
He was born April 15, 1922, in Jamestown, the son of the late Herbert W. And Rose Pond Swanson.
He was a graduate of Jamestown High School and Rochester Institute of Technology.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hancock.
He was a retired tool and die engineer and sales representative for Vard-Smith.
He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in York, Out Door Country Club, York Forest No. 30. Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the 13th Ward Political Club.
Surviving are two daughters: Kathleen Thornhill of Warren, Ohio, and Barbara Fourhman of York; one son, David Swanson of Philadelphia; three grandchildren; and a brother, William Swanson of Jamestown.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Berg Swanson. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Christ Lutheran Church of Spry, 2401 S. Queen St., York, Pa.
Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Jamestown. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the church. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 488 W. Market St., York, Pa. 17404, or the Visiting Nurse Association, 218 E. Market St., York, Pa. 17403. Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
