KINSLEY, NORMA MARY (PUNKY)

Mary Norma (Punky) Kinsley (nee, Watt) died on Saturday, November 20, 2010. Born April 9, 1918, she was 92 years old. Beloved wife since June 19, 1940 of the late John Kinsley, Mary was a long time resident of Monsey, NY prior to moving to Delanco, NJ to live with her daughter Mary Spillane. She worked at Avon for 25 years. Mary lived for her family and is survived by her children, John C. Kinsley and his wife Sharon of Rock Tavern, NY; Mary Spillane and her deceased husband Philip; five grandchildren, Carolyne and her husband Jason Joorabchi, Colleen and her husband Ed Dyess, Jennifer and her husband Martin Mathieu, Kristen and her husband Wallace Campbell, Patrick and his wife Amy Spillane and seven great-grandchildren, Benjamin, David and Zachary Mathieu, Kim and Jonathan Dyess and Christopher and Ethan Spillane, and two brothers John Watt and his Wife Florence and, Dr. Norman Watt and his wife Madeline. Visitation Friday November 26, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. Funeral Service Saturday 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home followed by an interment at Brick Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th floor, NY, NY 10004; the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718, or The Colorectal Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 5202, Cincinnati, OH 45201-5202.

KRAUS, RUTH EVANS

Ruth Alma Evans Kraus passed away October 27, 2010. She was born February 27, 1923. She was predeceased by her husband John. She is survived by her brother Arnold Evans, his wife, Maria; five of her six children, John (Jack) Kraus, David Kraus predeceased her on October 24, 2010, David's wife Linda, Laurence (Larry) Kraus, Barbara Kraus Bonacci, Adele Kraus, Kathleen Kraus Munro and husband Douglas, 15 grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on November 27 at 11 A.M at Harrison Presbyterian Church, Harrison, NY.

MOCERINO, ROSE CECILE

Mrs. Rose Cecile Mocerino, age 78, of McKinney, Texas and formerly of Peekskill, New York, passed away November 22, 2010, in McKinney. She was born August 30, 1932, in Harlem, New York to Pietro and Mary (Soriero) Loizzi. On October 14, 1951, she married Joseph Pat Mocerino in New York, New York. Mrs. Mocerino was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas and a former member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Peekskill, New York. She was always a strong church member and always active within her church communities. Mrs. Mocerino was also an active member of the "CRHP Sisters” of St. Jude Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Julia Pili and husband, Anthony of Boynton Beach, Florida; sons, Joe Mocerino and wife, Wendy of McKinney, Texas, James Mocerino and fiancée, Grace of Cortlandt Manor, New York and Jerry Mocerino of New York, New York; grandchildren, Joey, Stephen, Katie, Matthew, Jason, Danny and Vince; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Rudolph Loizzi and Robert Loizzi both of the Bronx, New York, and sister, Madeline Cassara of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Mrs. Mocerino was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; and brothers, Vito and Ronnie Loizzi. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 26 at Clark Funeral Home, Inc. 2104 Saw Mill River Road, Yorktown Heights from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:009:00 p.m. On Saturday, November 27 a Christian Burial Mass will be held at the New Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Yorktown Heights at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, New York. For those who wish in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church.

MORSCHAUSER, ALFRED V.

Alfred V. Morschauser, 86, formerly of Yonkers, died on Sun., November 21, 2010. Husband of Grace (Baldassare), father of Richard, Robin Sena, Regina Kristan, Col. Robert and Ronald. Grandfather of 10. Family and friends may call, Fri., 6-9 pm and Sat., 9:30-10:30 am, James J. Dougherty FH, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, PA 19056. PUNTO, EDORA MARIA

Edora Maria Punto, 88, passed away on Monday, November 22nd, 2010 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Gaetano, and by her loving daughter, Joanne and is survived by her daughter Linda and her son Louis. She was ever grateful to have four lovely grandchildren whom she loved dearly - Remy, Corinne, Richard and Steven.Edora was active in the American Legion supporting her husband, a Marine Veteran of World War II. She was a member of the Le Amiche Lodge 2550 Order of Sons of Italy and thoroughly enjoyed their many activities. Her political interests led her to become the district leader for the Republican Party in Yonkers. She was an active supporter in the fight against breast cancer; she herself being a breast cancer survivor. Edora worked full-time for the New York Telephone Company and then later with Verizon. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday November 27th at 10AM at Annunciation Church, Crestwood, NY. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Friday November 26th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at F. Ruggiero & Sons Funeral Home, 732 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY, 10704 914-375-1400-.

REED, WILLIAM D.

William D. Reed, 86, a longtime Peekskill resident, died November 20, 2010. He worked for many years as a contractor. William is survived by his son Brian Reed and sister Sally Dolman; One granddaughter and a host of nieces & nephews also survive. He was predeceased by four children, six brothers, and thre sisters. SLEDZINSKI, RITA T.

Rita T. Sledzinski, lifetime Yonkers resident, passed away in St. Cabrini Nursing Home on November 22, 2010. She was 91 years old. Rita was educated in the Yonkers School System and worked for many years as a Unit Supervisor for NY Telephone Co. and then Westchester County. She was a lifetime member of the NY Telephone Pioneers and the Ladies of Charity. Rita loved cruising with her many friends. She was predeceased by her three sisters, Mary Rehak, Anastasia Delahanty and Frances Karasinski and one brother, Joseph. Loving aunt of 12 nieces and nephews and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be at FLYNN MEMORIAL HOME, on Central Park Avenue, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. SMITH JR., CALEB 'FRANK'

Smith, Caleb 'Frank', Jr., age 66, a resident of Patterson, NY since the early 1960's, died Monday, November 22, 2010 at Manhattan VA Hospital. Mr. Smith was born on January 23, 1944 in Brewster, NY to the late Caleb F. Smith and Mary (Schaniel) Beckey. He was predeceased by his step-father Louis Beckey as well. Mr. Smith served in the Navy from 1961 to 1965 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise. He was very proud of his years in the Navy. Mr. Smith married Rose Sacco on January 28, 1967 at the Pawling (NY) United Methodist Church. Mr. Smith was a field service engineer for Hipotronics (a high power equipment company) in Brewster, NY for over 32 years. He was a former coach and treasurer of the Patterson Little League, as well as treasurer for many of the organizations he participated in including his bowling and mens softball leagues. Mr. Smith assisted with many fund raisers for these organizations as well. He also enjoyed golf, hunting and was an avid Yankees and Buffalo Bills Fan. Mr. Smith is survived by his son, Caleb 'Frank' Smith III and his wife Tammy of Patterson, NY and his daughter, Tammy Bosser and her husband Rich of Wingdale, NY; a brother, Robert Smith of Patterson, NY, and a sister, Rosemary Wood of Dover Plains, NY. Also four grandchildren, Megan, Amber, Courtney and Richie. He was predeceased by a brother John Smith. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 10:00AM at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, New York. There will be a private cremation following. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. STEVENS, BERNICE J.

Bernice J. Stevens, age 85, wife of the late Eugene G. Stevens of White Plains, died peacefully at White Plains Hospital on November 21, 2010. Born on April 17, 1925, in Scarsdale, NY, Bernice was the daughter of Roy and Nellie Dykeman. She married former WWII air force serviceman Eugene G. Stevens on January 31, 1947 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in NYC. Bernice retired after 22 years of service as an employee for the city of Rye, NY. She was a dedicated worker for the Department of Recreation and the Department of Public Works. Bernice lived an extremely fulfilled and rewarding life in which she shared her high spirits with cherished family and friends. Her pure heart changed everyone it touched as she made a lasting impression on many individuals throughout her lifetime. The faith and adoration for the ones she loved was relentless. Her footprints in their hearts will and can never be erased. Survivors include her two daughters, Carol Lee Sember of Trumbull, CT and Sheryl Lynn Covelli of Winterville, NC along with son in laws Shawn A. Sember and Rocco Covelli. She was predeceased by four sisters. She will also be forever remembered by grandchildren April L. Sember and Andrew J. Sember of Trumbull, CT. The family will receive friends Saturday 10am to 12pm at the funeral home where a service will take place at 12pm. Interment to follow at Kensico Cemetery. STRAKA, RICHARD "RICH"

Richard Straka, 62, of 8578 County Rte 15, passed away unexpectedly Sunday (November 21, 2010) at home. Born in Passaic, NJ, March 31, 1948, the son of Edward and Helen Ranke Straka, he had resided in Angelica since 2002. Rich was retired from Avon Products as a senior chemical lab technician. He is survived by his wife Sharon Rader Straka whom he married in 1979, his daughter Shawn (Larry) Shannon-Missal of Rochester, his son Josh (Sonya) Shannon of Angelica, grandchildren Gibson Shannon, and Violet ShannonMissal, two brothers Robert Straka of Florida, and Edward Straka of New Jersey. A Memorial service will be held at Brown & Powers Funeral Home on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 1:00 PM.
