Cuoco, Helen, formerly of the Bronx, and a 20-year resident of Pleasantville, passed away on October 14 at the age of 88. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Daniel. She was a loving mother to Daniel and his wife Dianne. She is also a grandmother of Donna Suarez, Denise Doran and Daniel, Jr. and great grandmother of Ryan, Mia and Matthew Suarez and Grady and Avery Doran
Helen had a brother who predeceased her and is survived by 3 brothers and a sister.
Helen enjoyed her work as an Administrative Assistant for the Ford Foundation in New York City, and was an active member of the Pleasantville Seniors.
The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville, on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Innocents R.C. Church on Wednesday at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum in the Bronx.

Day, Eugenia Claire Brunson died peacefully at her home of 49 years in Chappaqua, NY, on May 14, 2007.
She was born in Kinston, Alabama, on May 8, 1924, daughter of John Franklin Brunson, Jr., and the former Leola Estelle Johnson. She graduated from Judson College in 1944 with honors.
An accomplished pianist, she moved to New York City to pursue a musical career where she met and, in 1947, married the late Virgil Baldwin Day.
In Chappaqua, Mrs. Day was an active member of the Chappaqua Chamber Orchestra, the League of Women Voters, the Narcotics Guidance Council, and the Board of Education and was selected Chappaqua's Outstanding Citizen in 1976. She frequently served as accompanist for various organizations; she worshiped at Chappaqua’s First Congregational Church.
Mrs. Day is survived by her two sons, John Baldwin, an attorney, and Peter Fairfield, an artist; four grandchildren, John Edmund, Anastasia Claire, Christopher Baldwin, and Michael Raymond; and her sisters Catherine Luening and Eleanor Sparks. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Judith Bullock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Melrose School, 120 Federal Hill Road, Brewster, NY 10509.
The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville on Friday from 7 – 9 PM. A service for Eugenia will be held on Saturday at 3:30 PM at the First Congregational Church of Chappaqua, 210 Orchard Ridge Road, Chappaqua. Interment will be Tuesday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Elba, Alabama.

Edson, Joann K., of Hawthorne, NY, died Sept. 30, 2006. She was 71 years old. Joann was born on Sept. 27, 1935 in Mt. Kisco, NY to John and Vera Ryan Olson. Mrs. Edson had worked for 10 years as a bookkeeper for a condominium complex.
She is survived by her son Glenn Sloat, her daughter Debbie Sloat and her sisters Jean Jaeger and Katherine Carpenter.
Visitation will be Tues. 2-4 & 7-9pm at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wed. 10am at Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville. Interment will follow at

Falcone, Florence, formerly of the Bronx, and a resident of Valhalla, for the past 50 years passed away on June 17th at the age of 80. Florence was the loving wife of the late Michael A. Falcone.
She is survived by her three loving children, Michael J. of Edison, NJ, Karen Lalli of Hopewell Junction, NY and Mark of Yorktown Heights, NY. Florence was the adored grandmother of Anthony and Joseph Lalli and Amanda Falcone.
The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church on Wednesday at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.

Friedman, Selma Klein, of Yorktown Heights, NY, died on 11/15/06 due to complications of multiple sclerosis. She was born on 9/24/24 in New York, educated at New York University and married to the late Gene Friedman. She is survived by 3 sons, Glenn, of Santa Monica, CA; Don of Pleasantville, NY; and Douglas of Blairstown, NJ; and 5 grandchildren. As founder and owner of Selma Friedman Associates, a shopping center marketing and promotion firm, Ms. Friedman had a long history of involvement with the development of shopping centers throughout the United States.
Contributions can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2 Gannett Drive, White Plains, NY, Suite LC 10604.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday 11/18/06 at 1pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 418 Bedford Road, Pleasantville, NY.

Dushin, Frank Edward, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, passed away on January 20, 2007, after a prolonged illness.
Born on July 23, 1926, to the late Florence Elizabeth Hoffman and Harry Dushin, Frank was raised in Pleasantville, NY. He studied Architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and then worked for the architectural firm of Edward Durell Stone in New York. He subsequently received a Fulbright Scholarship and taught Modern American Architecture at the University of Durham in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom. While in England, he married Leona Margaret Hauff, who now resides in Garrison, NY. Upon his return to the US in 1954, he opened a private practice in Peekskill, NY, primarily focusing on custom contemporary residential architecture. Many of his homes were built in the Hudson Valley and metropolitan New York area from the mid-1950s until just recently.
He is survived by his five children; Christine, Karl, Russell, Frederick, and Margaret, and six grandchildren. Frank is survived by his ex-wife, his sister, Dorothy Dushin, and was preceded in death by his brother Harry Dushin.
Visiting hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Beecher Funeral Home, 418 Bedford Road, Pleasantville, NY. Services will be held at the same location on Thursday, January 25, 2007, at 12 noon, with internment to follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.

Dutra, Judy, of Mohegan Lake, NY, died peacefully at home March 25, 2006. She was 62.
Born in the Bronx, August 25, 1944 the daughter of H. Alfred and Ruth (Ziegler) Senger. She graduated from Evander Childs H.S. in the Bronx, in 1962.
She married William M. Dutra in Tappan, NY on May 26, 1979.
Mrs. Dutra worked as a Monitor and Nurses Aide for Lakeland Central Schools retiring in 2005. She previously worked as an Account Executive for Ally & Gargano Advertising.
A resident of Mohegan Lake for the last 28 years, she was active with the Shrub Oak Athletic Club, serving as secretary for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband of Mohegan Lake; her sons, Craig Dutra of Albany, NY, and Brian Dutra of Mohegan Lake, NY; her Mother of Sparkill, NY, a Step-Daughter; Samantha Harrison of Lake Elsinore, CA; a grandson Jakob Harrison; and her sisters, Ruth Kolb of Tappan, NY, and Donna Pollock, of Sparkill, NY.
Calling Hours Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Beecher Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville, NY, where funeral services will be held Thursday 10 AM. Interment Amawalk Hill Cemetery, Amawalk, NY.
