Loffredo, Giuseppe of Hawthorne, NY died peacefully at his home on Friday, March 7 after a long, courageous fight against the ravages of Parkinson’s disease. Born in 1939 to Antonio Loffredo and Marianna Sansone Loffredo, he married Anna Maria Bettino in 1962. He worked as a foreman with the County of Westchester for the last 15 years and was a stone mason whose work will stand as a testament to his craftsmanship. In addition to his passions for gardening and wine making, he doted on his grandchildren Cristina, Joseph, Gabriela and Alessandra.
He is survived by his wife and three children; Marianna and Joe Callagy of Hawthorne, NY; Theresa I. Loffredo of Valhalla and Joseph and Nicole Loffredo of Jackson, NJ. He is also survived by his brother Alfonso and Rosa Loffredo of Hawthorne, NY and sisters Maria Mastrangelo, Louisa Donofrio, Concetta Sposato, Carmella Monaco and Gina Vitale of Italy.
Visitation will be Sunday March 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Beecher Funeral Home in Pleasantville NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday March 10 at 11 AM at Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, NY followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.

Jarvis, Edwin F. formerly of Pleasantville and Ossining passed away on April 18, 2007 at the age of 84. He was a veteran of World War II and was employed by the N.Y.C. Water Dept. Edwin is survived by his sisters Mildred Sassman of Carmel and Jean See of Staten Island and his brother Richard Jarvis of Trenton, Fl., and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville on Monday April 23 from 11 AM to 1 PM. The Funeral Service will begin at 1 PM followed by interment in Kensico Cemetery.

Jones, Richard Gray Jr. Born in Ohio on October 7th 1932, died November 15th at Hudson Valley Hospital after a long illness.
Loving husband of Virginia Jones, who preceded him in death, and beloved father of Marjorie Hall and Richard Gray Jones III.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he attended Princeton University, graduating in 1954 with a B.S. in English. Dick served in the U.S. Army as a forward observer and General’s aide.
After his Army experience, Dick attended Harvard Business School, graduating with an M.B.A.
He began his advertising career at Young & Rubicam, retiring 39 years later as Senior Vice President.
He met Virginia Smith while they were both working at Young & Rubicam. They were married on December 1, 1962 in Pleasantville, New York. They moved to Chappaqua in 1966, raising their children Marjorie and Richard there.
Throughout his life, Dick enjoyed the outdoors in many ways. He and his family spent time hiking, skiing, and playing tennis.
After retiring, Dick volunteered in numerous places. Some of the ways he gave his time included teaching English as a Second Language through Neighbors Link and teaching job search skills to inmates at Bedford Correctional facility. Dick spent many hours in his last years sharing his knowledge with small businessman through the society SCORE.
Survivors also include Thomas Hall, husband of Marjorie, and their daughters Alexandra and Whitney, and Claudia Jones, wife of Richard Jones and their son Eliot.

Kearney, Rigney J. New Bern, NC 79, died, March 29, 2008 in New Bern, NC after a long illness.
Throughout his 35-year career as a hard-working, dedicated teacher and principal in the Arlington Central School District, Mr. Kearney was committed to academic excellence. He was passionate about setting high expectations and creating opportunities for students to achieve their full academic potential. As principal of LaGrange Junior High School from 1967 through 1979 and Titusville Middle School from 1979 until his retirement in 1987, he was very proud to lead a talented, dedicated faculty and staff who shared this commitment to excellence.
Born in Poughkeepsie on January 29, 1929, Mr. Kearney was the seventh of nine children of the late Francis and Regina (Ward) Kearney. On November 9, 1957, Mr. Kearney married his cherished and beloved wife of 50 years, the former Barbara Moran, also a Poughkeepsie native, at Holy Trinity Church. Mrs. Kearney now resides in New Bern, NC. Mr. Kearney is survived by his sons Thomas R. Kearney, a CPA and partner at Pricewaterhouse-Coopers in San Francisco, CA and Rev. Daniel S. Kearney, pastor of St. Elizabeth's Church, New York, NY. He is also survived by his daughter, US Army Lieutenant Colonel Mary Katharine (Kate) Crusan based at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, his three grandchildren Daniel, Katharine, and Joseph Crusan, as well as son-in-law Richard Crusan, a retired US Army major. Mr. Kearney is also survived by his brother Thomas of New York, many nieces, nephews and other relatives, most of whom continue to live in the Hudson Valley.
Mr. Kearney is an alumnus of Poughkeepsie High School, SUNY New Paltz, and New York University (NYU). He also served in the US Army.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in New Bern on April 8, 2008. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at St. Mary's Church, 269 Church Street in Poughkeepsie, after which his sons will host a luncheon reception. Details regarding the luncheon will be provided at the Mass. A private family burial will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, New York.

Keinz, William A. of Hartsdale passed away on 10/27/06 at the age of 91. He was retired from General Motors in Tarrytown, NY. Bill was an avid New York Yankee Baseball fan and a New York Football Giant fan. He was a very kind and considerate man who always thought about everyone but himself. You always came first. Bill lived his life by example not words.
He was married to his loving wife Joan who passed away in 2001. He is survived by his daughter Diane Johnson of Yucaipa, Ca. and a son Donald J. Keinz of Thornwood, NY. Bill’s son William A. Keinz, Jr. predeceased him in 1989. He was a loving grandfather to Lynn Johnson, Ken Johnson, William Johnson, Michele Lehto, Brandi Mullins and Bryan and Emily Keinz. He also has 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville on Monday from 5 – 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Kelly Ellen W. formerly of Hawthorne and Somers passed away on January 1, 2008. Ellen was the loving wife of the late Alfred Kelly. She is survived by her son John W. Kelly and his wife Carol of Pleasantville and her daughter Lynne K. Civita of Somers.
Ellen was the adoring grandmother of John W. Kelly, II, Diane K. Mitchell, Pamela E. Kelly and Shannon Civita and 4 great grandchildren. Services and interment are private.

Kelly, Reverend Monsignor Charles S. passed away peacefully on October 11, 2006. Monsignor Kelly was born on December 26, 1943 in Wilmington, De. He was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of New York by Terrance Cardinal Cooke at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on May 31, 1969.
Before his ordination he was a deacon at Annunciation Church in Manhattan. Monsignor Kelly went to Puerto Rico to study Spanish so he could minister to the Spanish speaking people of the Archdiocese and most of his assignments were spent working among the immigrants to this country.
He was the Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Manhattan, St. Bernard’s Parish in White Plains, St. Joseph’s Parish in Middletown and he was the Pastor of St. Peter’s Parish in Haverstraw from 1987 till 2002. He was currently the Pastor of St. John & St. Mary Parish in Chappaqua since 2002. He was one of a kind and he will be missed by all.
Monsignor Kelly is survived by his beloved brother John and his wife Judy of San Diego and a niece Mary & a nephew John. His parents Malachy Kelly and Mary Bohan Kelly predeceased him.
Visitation for Monsignor Kelly will be Saturday from 7 – 9 PM at St. John & St. Mary the Little Church and on Sunday from 2 – 4 PM at the Upper Church.
The Mass of the Eucharist will be celebrated on Sunday at 7:30 PM and the Mass of Christian Burial for Monsignor Kelly will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM. Monsignor Kelly will be interred at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Haverstraw.

Kerley, Dorothy T. of Pleasantville, died Sept. 28, 2006. She was 70.
Dorothy was born Sept. 15, 1936 in the Bronx to the late John and Dorothy Gallagher Faust.
Her children, grandchildren and her family were most important to her.
She is survived by her children Tara, Patrick, Michael and Kathleen, her grandchildren Emily, Patrick, Ryan, Kirstie and Courtney, her sister Joan and her nephew James.
Visitation will be Fri. (today) 2-4 & 7-9pm at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sat. 10am at Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Calvary Hospital Fund, 1740 Eastchester Rd., Bronx, NY, 10461 in her name would be appreciated.

Klein, Arthur, R. (Art) died on January 9 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. The Funeral Service will be Monday, January 14, at 1:00 PM at Temple Beth El of Northern Westchester, 220 South Bedford Road, Chappaqua, NY. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Klein, Edith, died Sunday, January 13 in Rye Brook, NY. Loving
Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. Survived by her son Jay, his wife Ali and Grandsons Matthew and Michael.

Klosz, Erich of Pleasantville, NY died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007. He was born on September 4th, 1928 in Yugoslavia, the son of Konrad and Flora Klosz.
He was a retired Tool & Die Maker at Dynacast for 31 years and he was a Veteran of the Army who served in Korea during 1953 to 1955.
Erich was well loved by his family and friends. He was a hard worker and an outstanding person. He was a kind and generous man.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 51 years, Rita, as well as his son Eric (Stamford, CT) and his wife Ellen and their children Stephen and Lauren and his brother in Germany, Herbert.
Friends may visit Monday Feb. 26th, 2-4 & 7-9pm at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville, NY where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27th at 10:30am. Internment will follow at Kensico Cemetery.
