STROBEL, WALTER H.
Walter H. Strobel of Ossining died May 7, 2016, he was 69.
He was born February 24, 1947 in Stuttgart, Germany to Carl & Lina (Schmid) Strobel.
Walter served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked as an auto mechanic for over 40 years for Jackson Lincoln Mercury and later for Pleasantville Ford.
Walter loved boating and spent much time on the water.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Tanya Powell, step-daughter Melissa Zingaro, brother Uli Strobel, sister Marlene Volper, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and nephews Richie & Michael.
A memorial wake will be held Saturday May 14th from 2pm – 4pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State Street Ossining.
BOROWIEC, PAUL
Paul Borowiec, beloved husband of Pamela Merlino Borowiec and father of Timothy Walter Borowiec, died on Saturday, May 7, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was 63 years old.
An Ossining resident for more than 30 years, Paul was a devoted member of All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Briarcliff Manor, helping every year with their Christmas Tree Sale and with countless other parish projects.
Paul grew up in Levittown, PA, and moved to Westchester County in 1972 to attend the Kings’ College, where he studied philosophy.
He was self-employed as a private contractor.
He loved his family, the out of doors, reading, and serving others.
He volunteered for Loaves and Fishes, Hurricane Sandy relief, and Habitat for Humanity.
Paul is survived by his wife Pamela, who teaches math at The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, and their son Timothy, an eighth grader at the Masters School; his mother Margaret Kawanami Borowiec of Warrington, PA; his sisters Catherine Borowiec Olivo of Bucks County, PA and Elizabeth Borowiec, of New Jersey; his brother Peter Borowiec of Roslyn, PA; and three nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by Walter Borowiec, his father.
The family will receive friends at Leach & Thomas Funeral Home, 32 State Street, Ossining, on Friday, May 13 from 4 PM to 8 PM.
A funeral service for Paul will be held at Scarborough Presbyterian Church, 655 Scarborough Rd and Rt. 9 in Briarcliff Manor, on Saturday, May 14 at 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Timothy Borowiec Educational Fund.

DiCESARIS, JAMES
James DiCesaris of Ossining died May 2, 2016, he was 89.
He was born July 20, 1926 in Ossining to Alfonso & Maria (DiDonato) DiCesaris.
James served in the Army Air Corps during WWII.
He worked for the NYCRR in Croton-Harmon.
He is survived by his son Thomas, daughter Carol Cantell, brother Alfonso DeCesaris, nieces Karen & Theresa Taranelli, Ida Maria & Lina Rosa DeCesaris & nephew Dominic Taranelli.
He was pre-deceased by his son James Jr., brother Anthony & sister Florence.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10AM at St. Ann’s Church, burial St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
Molfese, Gerard J.
Molfese Gerard J., 90, longtime resident of Chappaqua, died on June 28, 2008. He is survived by is wife of 65 years, Marianne Gioe, and pre-deceased by his daughter Geri Ann.
Gerard was a graduate of Stuyvesant High School, and received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Education from New York University. He was a member of the music fraternity Pi Alpha Mu. Gerard studied violin from the age of 5, and after serving in the U. S. Army from 1942-1946, he toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Tex Beneke Orchestra, made many recordings, and joined the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra in 1951 where he became Concert Master until he retired in 1979.
Gerard is pre-deceased by his parents James and Salvatrice, sisters Mary and Florence, and is survived by a brother, Salvatore and a sister Barbara George, as well as 10 nieces and nephews, 14 grand- nieces and nephews, and one great grand-nephew.
Arrangements were made by Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville, and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John and St. Mary, Chappaqua, followed by interment at Ferncliff.
Morello, Mary
Morello, Mary a resident of Pleasantville since 1927, died March 30, 2008. She was 103 years old. She was a parishioner of Holy Innocents Church.
Besides her husband Anthony, who died in 1971, Mary is predeceased by her daughter Josephine Haring.
She is survived by her daughters Mary O’Rourke of Pleasantville and Theresa Beale of Novato, CA, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation is Tues. (today) from 3-7pm at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wed. 10am at Holy Innocents Church with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to The American Heart Association.

Muzyk, Cecelia died peacefully February 13th at her home in Pleasantville at age 85. Cecelia Vnencsak-Muzyk was born in Pittsburgh and raised her family in The Bronx.
She is the beloved mother of 5 daughters and 1 son, mother-in-law & friend of Katharine & John Negron, Celeste & Louis Buzzeo, Patricia Muzyk & Don Sobel, Maria & Chester Yun, Michele Muzyk & Robert Sotomayor and Michael Muzyk & Teresa Chaisson. Loving wife of the late Walter Muzyk. Beloved grandmother of Olivia Ross, Courtney Hamilton, Jason, Marisa, Christopher, Natalie and Annie Buzzeo, Niles & Eva Muzyk- Sobel, Justin & David Yun. And M. Zachary & Victoria Muzyk. Loving Great-grandmother to Isabella & Chloe Ross, Hannah & Charlotte Hamilton and Eric Yun.
