Susano F. Gonzalez Jr. of Tarrytown died suddenly May 28, 2016, he was 52.
He was born Feb. 1, 1964 in Mt. Kisco to Susano & Alicia (Montanez) Gonzalez.
Susano worked for Community Housing Mgt. Corp. in Elmsford.
He is survived by his parents, wife Maria C. Perez, son Christian Flores Perez, daughters Veronica Flores Perez and Alexandra Flores Perez, sisters Norma Flores, Elizabeth Flores and Maria Denisse Flores.
He will be reposing Wed. 4-9pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State Street Ossining.
Mass of Christian Burial Thurs. 10am at St. Ann’s Church, burial in Puerto Rico.

LANNI, CATHERINE

Cathrine Lanni of Cocoa Beach, FL. (formerly of Ossining) died May 28, 2016.
She was born in Ossining in 1930 to Salvatore & Josephine (Milazzo Dolcimascolo) Nuara.
Catherine graduated from Ossining High School in 1948.
She married George Lanni in 1953.
She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church, Ossining and Our Savior’s Church in Florida.
Catherine worked for Reader’s Digest before retiring in 1989.
She is survived by her husband Geroge, son Anthony & wife Angela and grandson Michael Lanni of NY, daughter Diane Capuozzo & son-in-law David of N. Carolina, granddaughter Sheri Green & husband Major Brian Green of USMC, and great-granddaughters Evlin and Gwynevere Green of CA, sister-in-law Mary Lanni of FL and several nieces and nephews.
Catherine was pre-deceased by her brothers Cosimo, Michael, Thomas and sister Angelina. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday June 1st at 11AM at St. Ann’s Church, burial St. Augustine’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Juvenile Diabetes Association or your favorite charity.

DeVivo, Rose Ann

Rose Ann De Vivo of Briarcliff died May 27, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was 92. She was born October 26, 1923 in Brooklyn to Raffaele & Gerardina (Covino) Troisi. Rose worked as a seamstress and office manager in the garment district for many years. She volunteered as a playground monitor at the Fort Lee School 3, which her grand nieces Jennifer, Christina and Katherine attended. Rose is survived by her loving daughter, Angela Van Dekker (Benjamin) of Hastings and devoted brother Dr. Joseph Troisi. She was a loving Grandmother to Angela Outhouse (Robert), John Van Dekker (Jessica), and Carl Van Dekker; and great-grandchildren Melissa (Ron), Danielle, Michael, Jackson, Elise, Violet; and great-great-grandchildren Charlotte & Grayson. She was a loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John DeVivo, and siblings Alfonse, Louis, and Ida. She will be reposing Monday 4-8pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State Street Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 11AM at St. Ann's Church, burial private. In lieu of flower, donations to Ossining VAC or Briarcliff FD Ambulance appreciated.

JIMENEZ, WENDY

Wendy Jimenez died on Monday, May 23, 2016 after a valiant battle with liver cancer, she was 43.
She was born on September 18, 1972 in Santiago, Dominican Republic to Melanio and Caridad (Villalona) Martinez.
Wendy worked as a bookkeeper at the Maryknoll Sisters in Ossining until her illness a few years ago.
She is survived by her daughters Chelsie, Sabrina and Bryana, grandson Kaleb and brothers Emerly Martinez and Edison Martinez.
She will be reposing Thursday 5-8pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State Street Ossining.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11:30am at St. Ann’s Church.

Polly Virginia Gunther

Polly Virginia Gunther, a resident of Ossining, NY passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 4:15 AM, at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY at the age of 72.
Polly was born in Sussex County, VA on August 9, 1943 to the late Floyd Scott Sr. and Matilda Scott.
She married the late Garnell Gunther Sr in 1967, and they remained together for 46 years until his passing in 2013.
She was survived by her three sons, Michael Scott of Ossining, NY, Garnell Gunther Jr. of New Windsor, NY (wife Lisa Gunther), and Eric Gunther of Liberty, NY; her three daughters, Gloria Scott of Yonkers, NY, Katrina Scott (spouse Ralph Flynn) of Ossining, NY, and Kim Gunther-Jackson (husband Willie Jackson) of Mohegan Lake, NY.
Polly had 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also survived by her sisters Murdie Boone, Helen Peters, Sally Brown and Shirley Parker; and her brothers Freeman Scott and Robert Lee Scott.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ethel Parham, and Louise Scott, and her brothers, James Scott, Floyd Scott Jr, Westley Scott, Thomas Scott, and Clarence Scott.
Polly became a devout member of the Ossining Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1980.
She enjoyed sharing and educating others on her religion.
She did domestic work until she became employed at the Ossining High School in 2001 as a grill cook.
She was well-loved by all who met and knew her.
Polly enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, shopping, dancing, movies and dining with her friends.
Polly was known for telling jokes, having a warm contagious smile and giving great advice to all around her.
Mrs. Polly Gunther was an amazing, caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.
She will always be loved and remembered for her kind heart, resiliency, and her devotion to Jehovah.
Her legacy will be passed on to her loved ones and will be carried on until eternity.

GILLEO, GEORGE R. Sr.

George R. Gilleo Sr., formerly of Cortlandt Manor, died February 18, 2016 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
He was born in Tarrytown August 31, 1957 to George H. and Joan Gilleo.
George worked for General Motors and later for Sing Sing Correctional Facility.
He is survived by his wife Donna nee Preuss of 38 years, son George R. Gilleo Jr. and his wife Meghan of Cortlandt Manor, his father George, many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his mother Joan.
George was a member of the Hudson Valley Car Cruisers.
He enjoyed travelling and vacationing all over the country.
He was a huge Miami Dolphins fan, enjoyed playing cards, loved animals, hunting, fishing, wrestling and camping out at Englishtown, NJ, for the drag races.
A memorial wake will be held Sunday May 15th from 2pm – 4pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State Street, Ossining.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
