Brenda D. Krouser
WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY - Brenda D. Krouser, 49, of Wappingers Falls, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was employed as a Manager at St. Cabrini's in Esopus, New York. She was a graduate of Dutchess County Community College and received a Dual Degree for Human Services Program and later obtained a State Level KSAC as a Credential Substance Abuse Counselor. She was a sponsor for many recovering addicts in the Hudson Valley area. Born on February 10, 1959 in New York City, she was the daughter of Frank Krouser, Sr., and Willie Ruth Lewis. She is survived by her longtime companion, Kenneth Blackman of Poughkeepsie, New York; One daughter, Patricia Coley and husband Khari of Kingston, New York; Four brothers, Frank Krouser, Jr. and Joseph Krouser and wife Felita all of Poughkeepsie, New York, Michael Krouser and Randy Krouser both of New York City, New York; Four sisters, Wilhelmina Myrick of Poughkeepsie, New York, Doris Krouser, Vicky Krouser and Rhonda Krouser all of New York City, New York; Four grandchildren, Devon Coley, Lavinna Wilkins, KaShawn Watson and Javeed Green all of Kingston, New York and extended family. Several nieces, nephews, others relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Gregory Krouser. Funeral services will be Friday May 30, 2008, 11:00am at Rhodes Funeral Homes Chapel, 43 Fairview Avenue Poughkeepsie, New York 12601. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family. Rhodes Funeral Home, 43 Fairview Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY entrusted with arrangements.

William F. Manny
SHADY - William F. Manny, 97, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at his residence. Born November 9, 1910 in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Frederick A. and Anne Barth Manny and had resided in the Woodstock hamlet of Shady for many years. Mr. Manny was employed by the New York City Fire Department for 20 years, retiring in 1956 as a Battalion Chief. He was a member of St. George's Association of the NYC Fire Department and the Fire Chiefs Association. He was a charter member of Woodstock Township Taxpayers Association, Lake Hill Sportsman Association and the Woodstock Fire Co.#3 in Lake Hill. He bred and raised homing pigeons and was a member of the Kingston Racing Pigeon Association and the Northern Catskill Racing Pigeon Association of Purling. He was predeceased by two wives, Kathryn Dunne Manny in 1978 and Henrietta Powers Dunne Manny in 2006. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Anne Doyle, and two sisters, Marie Haas and Bertha Borchers. Surviving are two sons, William F. Manny, Jr. of Middle Village and Arthur L. Manny of Newport News, VA; a stepson, Edward Dunne of Shady; three stepdaughters, Susan Evans of Kingston, Nancy Kay of Hyde Park and Bernadette Dunne of Red Hook; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11am Friday at Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker Street, Woodstock. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.

LESLY, JOE
Joe Lesly, a 51-year resident of Hastings-on-Hudson, died on February 26 at the age of 87. Joe was the beloved husband of Ruth Lesly, the loving father of Meredith and Mark Lesly, and grandfather to his cherished grandson, Jalen. A World War II veteran and former advertising executive, he was well known in the community for his service on various school committees over the years; the generous sharing of his writing and desktop publishing skills with numerous charities in southern Westchester; the well-received slideshows of his travel photography; his many published letters in local papers and the New York Times; and his wicked backhand on the tennis courts. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Sunday, March 1, at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's memory to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 NW 9th Ave, Miami, FL.

MARCELYNAS, JOAN
Joan Marcelynas, of Harrison, died February 27, 2009 at age 80. Born January 28, 1929 to Myles & Hannah McTiernan. For 47 years Joan worked as an Executive for Scholastic Magazine. She was a member of the Harrison Senior Center. Joan is survived by her devoted children, Desmond F. Marcelynas, Barbara Marcelynas & Marian Marcelynas. Predeceased by her brother John McTiernan. Visitation Saturday evening 7-9pm & Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Monday 11am St. Gregory the Great RC Church.

RADTKE, JOAN ELLEN
Joan Ellen Radtke of Pomona, NY, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 69 years old. Joan was most currently working at the Robert L. Yeager Health Care Center in the Medical Records Dept. She loved boating, gardening and especially spending time with her grandson Danny (who she nicknamed "Peaches"). Survivors include her son David Lawrence Radtke and his wife Theresa of Easton, PA and her grandson Daniel Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lawrence Carr Radtke in 1972. Family and friends are invited to call at the Edward C. Finn Funeral Home in Stony Point on Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday at 12 Noon with died on February 26, 2009 at Greenwich Woods Health Care Facility. She was 92 years young. Mary was born on August 15, 1916 in Ballston Spa, NY to the late Felix and Anna Esposito. She was the 3rd of six children. She was devoted to her family, friends, and her faith in God. Along with being an active member of Saint John's the Evangelist Catholic Church in White Plains, Mary also dedicated much of her time to the Catholic Daughters. Caring for the children with special needs of Southern Westchester BOCES was a job she cherished for over 20 years. She then went on to volunteer in the classrooms at St. John's Grammar School. Her dreams of one day returning to the school setting never diminished. On June 2, 1941 she married Robert Robbins and together they had one son. Mary is survived by her younger sister Camille Appelle of Bronxville and her son Philip Robbins and wife Patti of White Plains. She is also survived by her most precious three granddaughters and their husbands: Kim and Tom Fuerst, Kelly and John Casella, and Emily Robbins. Mary's love continued to it's greatest point with her four great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Faith, and TJ Fuerst and Joseph Casella. She enjoyed many family trips to Long Beach Island and Mount Snow Vermont. Services for Mary Robbins will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 2-7PM at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett FH Inc., White Plains with a Rosary Service starting at 3:30. A Mass will be held in her honor at 10:30 Monday St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church on Hamilton Avenue in White Plains. Burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. RUSSO, JOHN
John Russo, formerly of New City died on February 26. He was 86. John was born on December 23, 1922 in New York City to Leonardo and Anna (Mirandi) Russo. John had served his country in the Army Air Corp. during World War II, being stationed in Alaska. John had lived in New City for 35 years before moving to Hawthorne. He had been a long-standing member of St. John's Episcopal Church in New City and was on the Disciplinary committee for the Rockland County Sheriff's Department Corrections Department. John is survived by his daughter Laurie-Jean Thalman and her husband Bill. And was predeceased by his wife Jean in 1990. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-9 PM and Sunday from 2-5 PM at St. John's Episcopal Church. Religious Services will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the church with burial to follow in Germonds Cemetery.
