SEHOLM, PATRICIA J.
Patricia J. Seholm, of Somers, NY and formerly of Mahopac, NY died Wednesday February 25, 2009. She was 70. She was born in Yonkers, NY on December 6, 1938, the daughter of Felix Rizzo and Mary C. Tautz. Patricia was a retired teacher from Rye Middle School where she taught math and computer sciences. She served as the union representative for the Rye Teachers Association and served on the board of the Port Chester- Rye Teachers Credit Union. On March 27, 1956 she married Robert C. Seholm Sr. He died on September 26, 1996. She is survived by her sons, Robert Jr. and his wife Catherine of Mahopac and Patrick J. and his wife Grace of Brewster, NY, her daughters, Theresa Seholm and her fiancé Stephen Talleur and Maryalice Farina and her husband Vin, all of Dover Plains, NY and her grandchildren Christopher, Jake, Robert and Patricia. Her granddaughters, Jessica and Elizabeth predeceased her. Visiting Sunday 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 AM at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac. Private cremation will follow. Leonard Matthew McGlynn
FORT PIERCE, FL - Leonard Matthew McGlynn of Fort Pierce, Florida, formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away Sunday, April 27 after a long illness. Mr. McGlynn was born June 2, 1918 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He truly enjoyed life and his family, grandchildren and great-grand children and providing service to his community. Mr. McGlynn is survived by his wife, Catherine (Connie) McGlynn of Fort Pierce, Florida, where they resided for over 25 years; sons, Leonard McGlynn of Cattaraugus, NY, Patrick McGlynn, and his wife Julia, of Marlboro, NY; daughter, Margaret Mary Cunningham, and her husband Michael of North Port, Florida; grandchildren, Michelle Hodgkiss, Todd Cunningham, Kathleen McGlynn, Kelly McGlynn and Cailin McGlynn; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Nicholas Hodgkiss and Marnie Cunningham; sisters, Peggy DelSanto and her husband John and Patricia Morrissey and her husband Joe; brother-in-law, Jack Econom, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Mary McGlynn, infant daughter Carol Ann, brother Donald, and sisters Eileen Nowick, Josephine Econom, and Winifred Skane. Mr. McGlynn served in World War II in the Battery A 959th Field Artillery Battalion. He landed on Utah Beach, the codename for the allied landing area in Normandy France on July 1, 1944. With his Battalion, he served in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany, being discharged as a First Sergeant on August 28, 1945 after serving 306 days in combat. Mr. McGlynn was a recipient of the Bronze Star, the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Medal of Good Conduct. Mr. McGlynn was employed as a Correction Officer by Green Haven Correctional Facility where he retired in 1974 after 29 years. He was a member of the construction committee for St. Paul's Chapel at the prison, and was instrumental to the formation of the prison blood bank. Mr. McGlynn was the last surviving member of the original 21 employees who opened the prison in 1949. He was a volunteer with the Dutchess County Red Cross and the Circle of Friends in Florida. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, gardening, and cultivating his prized tomato plants. Mr. McGlynn was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Poughkeepsie and St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Fort Pierce. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Poughkeepsie, the Poughkeepsie Elks Club, and the Spanish Lakes Veterans Golf Club. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 am Saturday, May 31 from St. Mary's Church, 231 Church St., Poughkeepsie. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Poughkeepsie. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parmele Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie.

Dorothy M. Newton
TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE - Dorothy M. Newton, 80, of Town of Poughkeepsie, died May 26, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital. She had been a cashier at Shop Rite, Poughkeepsie, retiring in 1993. She loved to play Bingo and ice skate. Born July 3, 1927 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Alexander DeAnglis and Grace Bolde. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Mike Warner of Hyde Park; son and daughter-in-law, Ralph L. and Geneva Stevens of Hyde Park; grandchildren, Dorothy Fisher and David Cade; great grandchildren, Kristi, Ryan, Zachary and Janella and stepsister, Pamela Johnson. There are no calling hours. Graveside service will take place May 30, 2008, 11:00am at Union Cemetery, Route 9G, Hyde Park.

Rev. Thomas Pietrantonio
Rev. Thomas Pietrantonio, O.F.M. Cap. died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at St. Lawrence Friary in Beacon. He was 81. He was born in New York City on June 15, 1926 to Francis and Rose Vocile Pietrantonio. At baptism, he was given the name Armand. He entered the minor seminary of the Capuchin Friars in the Bronx, NY on September 15, 1937. He was invested with the Capuchin habit on July 20, 1941 at St. Lawrence Seminary in Beacon. On July 26, 1942, he professed Simple Vows and professed his Solemn Vows on October 4, 1947. He was ordained a priest on June 18, 1949 in Staunton, VA. For most of Fr. Thomas' priestly ministry, he was assigned to various parishes staffed by the Capuchin Fathers of his province, serving as an Associate Pastor as well as Pastor in various places. In 1974, Fr. Thomas was assigned to St. Francis Renewal Center where he remained for thirty-three years. Serving as vicar of the Friary, he also used his great technical and mechanical skills to keep both the Friary and its surrounding grounds in good condition. He also ministered in the surrounding area at various parishes whenever the need arose for a priest to celebrate Mass. As his health began to deteriorate, Fr. Thomas spent his remaining time at St. Lawrence Infirmary, receiving care until his death. Visitation will be Friday, May 30, 2008, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Lawrence Chapel, 180 Sargent Avenue, Beacon, and Saturday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Joachim's Church, 61 Leonard Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, May 31, at 1 p.m. at St. Joachim's Church, 61 Leonard Street, Beacon. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Sargent Avenue, Beacon.

Kathleen C. Roberts
WAPPINGERS FALLS - Kathleen C. Roberts, 91, of Wappingers Falls, NY, died May 25, 2008 at Lutheran Care Center, Poughkeepsie, NY. Born Jan. 12, 1917 in Rapidan, VA, she was the daughter of the late George Greene and Ella Parker. Baptized in 1928 at White Oak Run Baptist Church, Rapidan, VA, she moved to Poughkeepsie in 1931, and attended Poughkeepsie High School. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church for 15 years and sang in the choir. She was employed as a machine operator for Stardust for 15 years and was a retired nurse's aide for the Hudson River Psychiatric Center with 23 years of service. She was a charter member of the Second Baptist Church, which organized July 18, 1946. She was the first president of the Second Baptist Church Senior Choir and a member of the deaconness board and the pastor's aide. Survivors include one son, William Roberts of Loma Linda, CA; two grandchildren, Steward Barnes, Jr. and Michelle Walthall and several great grandchildren Visitation will be Friday, May 30, 2008, 10:00am-11:00am at the Second Baptist Church, 36 Vassar Street, Street, Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am with the Reverend Robert L. Bruce, officiating. Interment will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY. Rhodes Funeral Home, 43 Fairview Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY entrusted with arrangements.

STANZIALE, MARY
Mary Stanziale, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, was called home by Our Heavenly Father on February 25. She was 92. Mary was born on March 15, 1916 in New Rochelle to the late Frank and Agnes (Dente) Stanziale. She was a talented seamstress who worked in several shops in New Rochelle and Mount Vernon. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed spending time with friends at the Hugh Doyle Senior Center. She is survived by her devoted sister, Frances Spallone and her husband Edward; and her sister-in-law, Esther Stanziale and brother-in-law, Frank Rocco. She will be dearly missed by her niece Dori Ann Wynne and nephews Edward and Mark Spallone. Other niece and nephews include Anita Cohen, Robert Stanziale, Richard, Frank Rocco, and Carl Rella. She is pre-deceased by her sisters, Rose Rella and Helen Rocco and her brothers, Ralph William and Fred Stanziale. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. Mass Monday 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. WEIGMAN, MARIE ILARDO
Marie Ilardo Weigman, 81, died February 27, 2009 after a long illness. She was born March 29, 1927 in Baltimore, MD to Salvatore and Josephine Ilardo. She was a longtime ESL teacher at both the Anne M. Dorner Middle School and Mercy College. She was a former director of the Croton Seniors, and member of the St. Augustine's Church Seniors, the AAUW and was a lifelong opera buff. Marie is survived by her sons Joseph Mark, Stuart Matthew, and Brice Martin Weigman, daughter Christina Browning, and eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Eric Weigman and her sister Rosa Muransky. A Memorial Mass will take place TODAY at St. Augustine's Church at 3:30 PM. Arrangements entrusted to the: EDWARD F.
