Beloved wife of the late Anthony "Roy" Amicucci. Devoted mother of Anthony (Ellen) Amicucci of Poughquag, NY and Jo Ann Bizzoco. Dear sister of Guy Lombardi, Jeanne King and Carole Krebs. Paul Neville Sanker, age 84, husband of Julie Ann Sanker, of 161 Chestnut Lake Drive, Inman, SC, 29349, formerly of New Windsor, New York, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. A Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Route 44/55, Gardiner, New York. Paul Richard Studley
HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Paul Richard Studley, 44, a Dutchess County resident for 19 years, formerly of New Milford, CT and Essex Junction, VT, died suddenly on May 26, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was currently employed as Operations Manager for Entergy in Buchanan, where he had worked for the last 18 years. Paul's hobbies included ice hockey and golf. Born in Pittsfield, MA on January 8, 1964, he was the son of Richard Studley and the late Jean Spaulding Studley, who predeceased him on May 17, 2002. After graduating Essex High School Class of 1982, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Navy. While serving, he studied at the Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando, FL and proudly served aboard the U.S.S. Philadelphia S.S.N. 690 and was twice nominated and selected as Sailor of the Quarter. On July 25, 1987, he married Laura Pelton at the First Congregational Church in New Milford, CT. Laura survives at home along with their two children, Eric and Kaitlyn. Other survivors include his father, Richard Studley and his wife June of Essex Junction, VT; his maternal grandmother, Doris Spaulding of Lenox, MA; his sister, Jo-Ann Moore of Arcata, CA; his brother, Kevin Studley of South Burlington, VT; his motherin-law , Elizabeth Pelton of New Milford, CT; his brother-in-law, Steven Pelton and his companion, Keri Wheeler of New Milford, CT; his niece, Lorelei Moore of Vermont; his nephew Zeke Moore of California; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Betty Symer
POUGHQUAG - Betty Louise Symer, 77, a resident of the Town of Beekman since 1966, formerly of Lancaster, NY died at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday, May 28, 2008. After more than 20 years of service, she retired as Principal Stenographer for the New York State Department of Corrections at the Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill. She had previously worked for the D.O.C. at Greenhaven Correctional Facility in Beekman. A dedicated Lutheran, she was an active member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Peekskill. She was also an animal lover. Born in Buffalo, NY on November 24, 1930, Betty was the daughter of the late Edward and Charlotte Young Asmus. On August 24, 1953, she married LaVerne H. Symer in Town Line, NY. Mr. Symer survives at home. Other survivors include her son, Jonathan Symer and his wife Nancy Tang of Stanfordville; her daughter, Rebecca Post of Poughquag; her son, Timothy Symer and his wife Maryellen of Ballston Spa; her son, Daniel Symer and his wife Laurie of South Glens Falls; her son Andrew Symer and his wife Patricia of Millerton; her grandchildren, Jeremy Walter and his wife Molly, Marc Walter, Julia Symer, Desiree Post, Matthew Symer, Joshua Symer, Theresa Symer, Adam Symer, Michael Symer, Elise Symer, David Symer, and Daniel Symer; and a great-granddaughter, Sakari Walter. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Arthur"Michael" DeLeeuw Jr. of West Haverstraw, NY died unexpectedly Monday February 9, 2009 at Nyack Hospital. He was 65. Michael was born July 21, 1943 in Haverstraw to Arthur and Rose DeLeeuw. Arthur is survived by his loving daughters Jessica and her husband Tim Paul of Stony Point, Rebecca Cadiz of Stony Point, his grandchildren Heather Cadiz, Austin and Damon Paul. He is also survived by his good friend Barbara Marsel. Friends may call Sunday 2-4, 7-9 PM at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home Garnerville.
