William H. Bartles
William H. Bartles, 90, a former town supervisor for Town of Hyde Park, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, New York. Most recently, he served as Hyde Park Town Supervisor and Dutchess County Executive. Prior to his public service, he was the owner of W.H. Bartles Tree Service, Hyde Park for 25 years and he spent 8 years as a Terminal Superintendent for Sun Oil Co., Poughkeepsie. Mr. Bartles lived in Hyde Park, New York since 1957 and was a Dutchess County resident for 82 years.
He was born July 10, 1912 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of William and Annie (Dukeshire) Bartles.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife Maud at home; and 3 daughters, Nancy Bartles Hayes and husband, William, of Byron, NY, Susan Bartles Stranges and husband, Gary, of Eden, NY, and Linda Bartles Clarke and husband, Owen T. Clarke, Jr. of Staatsburg, NY; 5 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; 3 brothers, Robert Bartles of Florida, Donald Bartles of Rhinebeck, and Lloyd Bartles of Florida; and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 2 Sisters.
Calling Hours will be at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, March 27th from 4 to 8 PM
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2003 at 10:30 A.M. at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hyde Park. Rev. Thomas Fiet will be officiating. Burial will be in the Friends Upton Lake Cemetery in Clinton Corners.
Memorial donations may be made to The Hudson Valley Railroad Society, PO Box 135, Hyde Park, NY 12538, or, The Baptist Home, 46 Brookmeade Dr., Rhinebeck, NY 12572.

Julia Madaras
Julia Madaras, 76, of Poughkeepsie, died at home on Monday, Mar. 3, 2003. A homemaker, Mrs. Madaras was a lifelong area resident. Born in Stanfordville on Jan. 28, 1927, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna Szigiedi Nemes. In 1946, she married Lewis Madaras in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Madaras predeceased her in 1982. Survivors include her daughter, Beth Ann of Manhattan and her daughter, Vickie Bolde of Hyde Park; two grandchildren, William Bolde Jr. and Brian Bolde of Staatsburg; three great-grandchildren, Caitlin Bolde, William Bolde III and Malaya Bolde; sister, Mary Race of Millbrook; and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Madaras was a cancer survivor. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.

FRUCCO, MARY
Mary Frucco of Yonkers and New Rochelle died on December 20, 2008 at Frances Schervier Nursing Home in Bronx, NY. She was 95. Mrs. Frucco worked as a homemaker. She was born October 7, 1913 in New Rochelle to Frank and Josephine Sacco Inello. On August 15, 1939, she married John Frucco in St. Joseph Church in New Rochelle, NY. Mrs. Frucco lived in Yonkers; before that, she lived in New Rochelle. She is survived by son John Frucco, Jr., brothers Leonard and Rocco Inello, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband John Frucco, brother Joseph Inello, and sisters Rose Colaccio, Catherine Simmonetti and Julia Carino. Calling Hours are Friday, 4-8 PM at N. Cancro Inc. Funeral Home. GOODMAN, DR. JOSEPH
Dr. Joseph Goodman, 87, of New Hartford, NY and formerly of Chestnut Ridge, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2008, in the St. Lukes Home New Hartford. He was born February 3, 1921, in Montreal, Canada, the son of the late Samuel and Yetta Kastner Goodman. Joseph was a graduate of Saskatchewan Schools and received his Ph.D from the University of Minnesota. On December 25, 1948, he married Norma Cohen in St. Paul, MN. Dr. and Mrs. Goodman were residents of Chestnut Ridge, NY for over forty years. Mrs. Goodman passed away, August 26, 2006. Dr. Goodman was a microbiologist with Lederle Labs, Pearl River, NY. He was a member and past president of Beth Am Temple, Pearl River Joseph is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Sara Goodman of Austin, TX and Phyllis and Michael Le Blanc of Seattle, WA; his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Daniel and Carol Goodman of New Hartford; his grandchildren, Alan Goodman, Joanna Goodman, Martha Goodman, Emily Goodman, Matthew Goodman, Benjamin Lively, Elizabeth Lively, Hannah Le Blanc and Samuel Le Blanc. His Funeral will be 1 PM, Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from Beth Am Temple, 60 E. Madison Ave., Pearl River, NY. Interment will be in the Beth Am Temple section of Temple Israel Memorial Cemetery in Blauvelt, NY. Funeral arrangements are with Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY.

Danny Seymour
Danny Seymour, 54, passed away at Benedictine Hospital, Kingston on Saturday, March 22nd.
Danny was born October 12, 1948 in Watertown, NY, the son of Lloyd and Lola Seymour who survive in Kingston.
Danny graduated from F. D. Roosevelt High School, Hyde Park in 1967, and was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the US Army. He was a letter carrier in the city of Poughkeepsie for 28 years.
Danny enjoyed many activities. In his younger days, he won many awards for racing motorcycles on ice. He also loved snowboarding, biking, camping, fishing, and boating.
Danny was a wonderful, active man with a great sense of humor and a smile to go along with it. He will be greatly missed.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife, Darleen Seymour and his step-daughter, Stacie Howell, who reside at home; son, Spencer Seymour of Highland; step-son, Ryan Howell of Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington; Brother, Steven Seymour and his wife, Lydia of St. Augustine, FL; and two nieces, Jessica and Stephanie Seymour, both of Poughkeepsie. Danny recently became a grandfather to Daniella Seymour of Highland.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Wednesday, March 26th at Sweet’s Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
There will be a funeral service at 8 pm during the calling hours with Rev. Arlene Dawber officiating.
Cremation will take place and his ashes will be placed along with the ashes of his dalmatian, Katie, at his favorite vacation spot in the Adirondacks.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Danny may be made to The Brain Tumor Center, 047 Baker House, Trent Drive, Durham, NC 27705, or, The Hospice Foundation, 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.

FROMHOLZ, GERALDINE M.
Geraldine M. Fromholz a longtime Nyack resident passed away on December 22, 2008. She was 80 years old. Geraldine was born on December 6, 1928 in Nyack, NY to Theodore and Hazel Berwaldt. She resided in Nyack for 70 years before moving to Clearwater, FL. She was an honorary member of Jackson Engine Co. #3 and was a 40 year member and past president of the Jackson Engine Ladies Auxiliary. Geraldine was predeceased by her husband Stephen J. Fromholz, Sr. in 2001 and a son Stephen J. Fromholz, Jr. in 2006. She is survived by her daughter Deborah of Nyack, NY, two sons John, Sr. of Washingtonville and David J. of Walden, NY and six grandchildren. Visiting will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm only at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Tappan Reformed Cemetery, Tappan, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 20 Squadron Boulevard, Suite 345, New City, NY 10956. QUESTO, FRANCES
Frances Questo (nee Burke) of Hastings died on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the age of 88. Born on January 18, 1920 to John and Helen M. (Murphy) Burke in Yonkers and attended Hastings schools; she graduated from Cosmetology School in N.Y.C. and worked for various beauty parlors in Hastings. On February 28, 1943, she married her loving husband Antonio Questo in St. Anthony's Church; he predeceased her in 1996. Mrs. Questo was a parishioner of St. Matthew's Church; a member of the Busy "Bees" senior group, Voting Assoc. of Hastings, and enjoyed her bingo, cooking and traveling. Frances is survived by her loving son Antonio J. Questo of Hastings, her cherished granddaughter Florence (Flo) Questo of Hastings, her beloved daughter-in-law Jacqueline Questo, her brother John Burke and her sister Helen Burke, two Godchildren Laura Regina Dayton and Colleen Burke. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by three brothers Walter, James and Clarence ( Tinny) Burke. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Frances on Wednesday, December 24th at 10 AM at St. Matthew's Church in Hastings. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
