YANNUZZI, SALVATORE

Salvatore Yannuzzi, the beloved crossing guard outside of Daniel Warren School, died November 6, 2008 at age 80. Born December 12, 1927 to John & Fiorina (Rondinella) Yannuzzi. Sal worked as an auto body mechanic. He was a proud 52 year member of both the Halstead Manor Fire Department and Hook & Ladder. Sal was also a past Lieutenant of Halstead Manor. For 20 years he served as a Mamaroneck soccer league coach and was a member of the American Legion Post 90 and the Old Timers Athletic Association. Sal was the beloved husband of the late Marion (Dunn). She passed away in 2002. He is survived by his cherished siblings, Pasquale Yannuzzi and Florence Greto, loving grandson Mark Ballantyne (wife Michelle), great grandchildren, Logan and Ryan, dear friend Christine Ballantyne, and many loving nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his son, James and siblings, Dominic, Samuel, Albert, James, George, Mary & Elda Yannuzzi. Visitation Saturday evening 7-9pm & Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Monday 10am Most Holy Trinity R.C. Church followed by interment at Beechwood Cemetery. Memorial donations can be sent to the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department.

BAYER, WALTER O. (BIG GUY)
Walter O. Bayer, 69, a long time resident of Congers passed away on October 16, 2008 in Atlantic City, NJ. An ex-assistant chief of Orangeburg Fire Department, Walter was born in the Bronx on November 19, 1938. In 1964, he opened Lillian-Ann Auto Center in Orangeburg, NY. His grandchildren were the light of his life and rarely did he miss a football or baseball game or a dance recital. Walter will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 49 years, Anna. He was the beloved father of Walter Jr. of Sloatsburg, Scott and his wife Carolynne of West Nyack and Anna and her husband Bill Houlihan of Congers. The "Big Guy" was adored by his grandchildren Alex, Thomas and Ryan Bayer of Sloatsburg, Jennifer, Joseph and Sean Bayer of West Nyack and Billy, Jimmy, John and Rosie Houlihan of Congers. He will be missed by very dear friends Bob and Cheryl Yezarsky of Tappan. Also survived b y several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Claire Armeli of Virginia Beach. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 19 from 2-4 and7-9 PM at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers. Funeral Services will be on October 20 at 10:00 AM at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers. BINDONI, LORRAINE A.
Lorraine A. Bindoni, 80, of Monroe and formerly of Rockland County, a special wife and loving mother, passed away on October 17, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. Daughter of the late George and Dorothy Davis, she was born January 14, 1928 in Port Jefferson, NY. She was the widow of Clarence Bindoni. She was a packing operator for Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River. Survivors include her son, Clarence J. Bindoni of Monroe; daughters, Jeannette Rich of Spring Valley and Patricia Foster of N. Petersburg, NY; brother, George Davis of Port Jefferson, NY; grandchildren, Joseph, Larry, Scott, Janet and Liz; seven great grandchildren. Visitation on Monday, October 20, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe. Funeral services Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home, with her grandson, Pastor Larry Foster officiating. Interment in Seamanville Cemetery, Monroe. CONDON-DIDRICKSEN, MARY LOUISE
Mary Louise "Mary Lou” Condon-Didricksen, of Acton, MA, formerly of Yonkers, died on Thursday, October 16, 2008. Mary Lou graduated from St. Peter's Grammar School and Yonkers High School and attended Vermont State College. She and her husband David are the owners of Willow Bookstore & Cafe in Acton, MA. Mary Lou was the beloved wife of David W. Didricksen, loving mother of Hayley F. and Drew W. Didricksen, loving daughter of Claire F. (nee Flynn) Condon and the late David C. Condon, cherished sister of David J. and Claire Marie Condon, and granddaughter of the late John J. and Catherine Flynn. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 164 Newtown Rd., Acton, MA 01720 (978-263-5782). DELANDRI, SR., EDWARD R.
Edward R. DeLandri, Sr., a lifelong Yonkers resident died on Thursday October 16, 2008 at St. John's Riverside Hospital. He was 82 years old. He was born on June 7, 1926 to Alphonse and Immaculata Reschilda DeLandri in Yonkers where he was raised and educated. Mr. DeLandri was a self employed machinist at DeLandri Precision, a military contracting company in Yonkers, for many years until his retirement in 1998. Mr. Delandri served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944 to 1946. He was a Private First Class and was stationed in Okinawa. He received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Army Occupation Medal. Mr. DeLandri was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Yonkers. He was also an avid fisherman. On June 4, 1955, he married Helen Dobrolet in St. Margaret's Church in Yonkers. Mrs. DeLandri survives and lives in Yonkers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Edward R. DeLandri, Jr. of Yonkers, one brother, Adolf (Brad) DeLandri of Katonah and one sister, Angie Vece of Yonkers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by one brother, Alfred DeLandri and three sisters, Annie Abore, Jean Picani and Camilla DeLandri. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Monday October 20th at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. DEMKO, JOHN
John Demko III, a lifelong Yonkers resident, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at age 78. He worked for over 35 years as an engineering technician for Norden Systems before retiring. John is survived by his brother Edward Demko and his wife Veronica, sister-in-law Rose Demko, five nieces and nephews and 15 grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Andrew Demko. Visitation at Duchynski-Cherko Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday, October 19th, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Parastas Prayer Service begins at 3:30 PM. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, October 20th, at St. Nicholas of Myra Church-Ash Street at 11 AM. Interment will follow at St Joseph's Cemetery.

DIELE, ANGELO
Angelo Diele was born in Bari, Italy on September 20, 1937. He was a thirty-seven year resident of Congers, NY. He died October 16, 2008 at Helen Hayes Hospital in Haverstraw, NY. In 1976, he opened Angelo's Tailor Shop on Maple Ave. in New City. Angelo was truly a family man and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a very friendly man who always had a smile for everyone. Angelo is survived by his loving wife Nicoletta, son Domenic and his wife Theresa of Toms River, NJ, daughter Maria and her husband Dr. Vincent Margiotta of Englewood Cliffs, NJ, three sisters, and his loving grandchildren Vincent and Nicole Margiotta and Angelo, Nico and Giorgiana Diele. Angelo's family will receive friends on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S. Main St., New City, NY 10956. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at St. Paul's Church in Congers, NY at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY. MICHAEL J.
