Lina Suslansky
Lina Suslansky of Mt. Vernon passed away on February 9, 2010 in Madison Heights, Michigan.
Born in Canada on August 5, 1931 to Gaetano and Celeste Maini.
She lived in Mt. Vernon for over 53 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Philip Suslansky of 53 years.
Lina retired from Gannet Newspapers.
She is survived by her sister, Jean Pilat of Michigan, and many nieces and nephews of Windsor, Canada and Michigan.

COCUCCI, CONCETTA "TINA" DIRAUSO

Concetta "Tina" DiRauso Cocucci, a resident of Nanuet, NY died on July 19, 2008 peacefully in her home. She was 66. Tina was born July 14, 1942 in Curti Provincia di Caserta, Italy, to Lina Calvano and Raffaele DiRauso. She grew up in Santa Maria Capua Vetere in Italy, where she met and married her husband, Ugo Cocucci at the Madonna di Assunta Cathedral in Santa Maria. The Cocucci's settled in Nanuet and lived there since 1972. As a young woman, Tina worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed spending every summer in her beloved Santa Maria in Italy and loved to spoil her grandchildren when she returned at the end of every summer. She will always be remembered for her remarkable strength, her elegance and for the great love she had for her family. She is survived by husband, Ugo, her loving son, Dr. Hugo Cocucci and his wife, Maria; and her loving daughter Josephine Svantner and her husband Joseph. Nonna Tina will be dearly missed by her beloved grandchildren Daniela, Adriana, Marc, Jacqueline, Nicole, Samantha and Danielle. Tina is also survived by her loving sisters Bianca Salzano, Rosalba Rosetti, Eva Rotta, and her dear brothers, Sergio and Antonio DiRauso, all of Italy. Tina also leaves her many dear nieces and nephews. We would like to thank our family, friends and clergy for all of their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. We extend our gratitude to the staff at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, New York for taking such wonderful care of Tina. The dignity and respect that was given to her will never be forgotten. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 21, from 7-9 PM and Tuesday, July 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, 728 West Nyack Road, West Nyack, NY 10994. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on July 23 at 10 AM at St. Anthony's Church in Nanuet.

DEGINA, OLIVE L.
Olive L. DeGina 79, of Peekskill, N.Y. and affectionately known as Rose of Killarney by her beloved family died on July 18, 2008 at her residence. She was born on October 3, 1928 to the late Hector and Olive (nee Brown) McLean in North Tarrytown, N.Y. and raised in Pocantico Hills, N.Y. She is survived by her devoted husband William DeGina of Peekskill, N.Y., her loving son Scott DeGina and his wife Eva of Peekskill, N.Y., one brother Donald McLean of Glendale, AZ and one sister, Beatrice Derivan of Tarrytown, N.Y. Also survived by one cherished granddaughter Margaret Bober of Peekskill, N.Y. No visiting hours. Funeral services were held privately. Mark A. Wooden
Mark A. Wooden of 6031 Podunk Road, Trumansburg passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at the age of 40.
Born on February 8, 1962 in Ithaca, Mark was the son of James H. Wooden of Trumansburg and Lois Tomlinson Wooden who passed away on August 13, 2001.
Mark was a well-liked member of the Trumansburg High School's graduating class of 1982. Over the years he continued to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. Often times this meant that his own projects had to be put on hold but with a smile and his "can do" attitude Mark repeatedly placed the needs of others before his own.
He was also a devoted and caring father and grandfather who showed great pride in his family. Warm memories of Mark will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
An avid sportsman, Mark always enjoyed being outdoors, especially during hunting and fishing season.
In addition to his father, James H. Wooden of Trumansburg, Mark is survived by his devoted wife, Amy of Trumansburg; twin sons, Tyler and Travis Wooden of Trumansburg, a son, Jason (Lelani) Grant of Trumansburg and a daughter, Jennifer (Larry) Grant of Ithaca; four grandsons; one sister, Bondolin J. Postell of Huntsville, AL; one brother, Luke (Denise) of Ithaca; paternal grandmother, Lillian M. Wooden of Trumansburg and four nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Jacksonville Community United Methodist Church on Friday, November 15, 2002 at 4:00 pm with the Rev. Billie Jean Melton officiating.
The family will be present to receive their friends at a reception in the church hall, immediately following the services.
Contributions in Mark's memory may be directed to the donor's favorite charity.

M. Beach Stover
M. Beach Stover of Jacksonville passed away at the Rochester General Hospital on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at the age of 80.
Born on July 5, 1922 in Ithaca, Beach was the son of Howard A. and Alice Wheeler Stover.
Following his graduation in 1941, from the Trumansburg High School, Beach began establishing his farm in the Jacksonville area. Over the years he was joined by his wife Catherine Burns and their children, Ann and Budd in the operation of the expanded Cliff Side Farms as well as a saw mill and Stover Lumber. The hours devoted to these successful endeavors were many but for Beach, it was a true labor of love. He also enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing.
Beach is survived by his devoted wife, of 50 years, Catherine Burns Stover; a daughter, Ann E. Stover of Jacksonville and a son M. Budd Stover of Jacksonville.
Services will be held at the Jacksonville Community United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 10, 2002 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Arthur Fellows officiating. Committal prayers, at the Grove Cemetery will be private.
The family will be present to receive their friends, in the Church Hall, immediately following the services.

F. Neale Jones
F. Neale Jones, age 68, of Trumansburg passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2002 at Cayuga Medical Center.
Born on April 3, 1934 in Ithaca, Neale was the son of the late Helen Tompkins and Frank Jones.
Neale was a 1952 graduate of the Ithaca High School and received his BA in Education from Ithaca College. He was employed by several area businesses including NCR, Cornell University, Jones Tree Service and more recently at the Cayuga Medical Center. Neale retired from Cayuga Medical Center following 12 years of dedicated service.
He was an avid reader of Westerns and History. Neale was also a Syracuse Orangemen and Buffalo Bills fan and most week-ends you could find him cheering them to victory. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
Surviving Neale are his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Teresa Sarsfield Jones; three daughters, Shika (Vince) Pollard of Indianapolis, IN, Robyn (Steven) Jones of Fort Lee, VA and Karia April Jones of Trumansburg; eight grandchildren, Morgan, Liam and Reece Pollard, Jennifer, Kristopher, Benjamin and Kimberly White and Shane Jones; one great-granddaughter, Alexandra "Allie" Sarinana; two sisters-in-law, Doreen (Roy) Doty and Ellen (Lewis) Rider all of Trumansburg and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Neale's wishes, no public services have been scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Neale's memory may be directed to the Trumansburg Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 418, Trumansburg, NY 14886 or to the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.

Harriette T. Gunning
Harriette T. Gunning of 454 Harvey Hill Road, Trumansburg passed away unexpectedly at the Cayuga Medical Center on Monday, December 30, 2002 at the age of 80.
Born on April 10, 1922 in Ithaca, New York, Harriette was the daughter of Harold and Ruth VanDusen Teeter. She graduated as salutatorian of the Trumansburg High School's Class of 1941.
Harriette was employed at the Tompkins County Hospital, for 25 years, before retiring in 1985. She was a dedicated employee but her true labor of love was the care and nurturing of her family. Harriette seemed to be creating wonderful home-cooked meals and baking mouth-watering cookies and treats constantly. She set her table for everyone who happened to be around the farm at mealtimes and because of her accepting and generous manner there were always several extra plates to fill.
At family gatherings Harriette was active in all aspects of the fun, from playing board games and volleyball to taking a position on the softball field. She was proud of her children and was very pleased when they all showed up for family reunions. In turn, the children and grandchildren grew to know that Harriette's devotion to them would bring her to every birthday party, school function and sporting event that involved a family member. This forgiving woman of endless patience, kind-heartedness and unwavering support will always hold a place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Harriette was preceded in death by a son, Donald and a brother, Richard Teeter. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60+ years, David K. Gunning of Trumansburg; three daughters, Jeanne (Stan) Chapman of Alpine, Kate (Art) Stilwell of Interlaken and Mary (Don) Crippen of Odessa; two sons, James (Martha) Gunning and Doug (Debbie) Gunning all of Trumansburg; twenty grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Linda Gunning of Trumansburg; three brothers, Harry (Freda) Teeter of Florida, Donald (Velma) Teeter of Ithaca and Pat (Scotty) Teeter of Maryland; two sisters, Helen (Keith) VanDerzee of Trumansburg and Margaret Fait of Minnesota; three sisters-in-law, Mary VanDerzee and Harriet I. Gunning both of Trumansburg and Margaret Gunning of Burdett and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Cayutaville Methodist Church on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. E. Jack Osburn officiating. The family will be present to receive their friends at a luncheon in the church hall immediately following the service.
Contributions in Harriette's memory may be directed to the Cayutaville Methodist Church, 3231 County Rt. 6, Alpine, NY 14805 or to the First Baptist Church of Enfield Center, 174 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, NY 14850.
