SHELTON, CAROL YVONNE
Carol Yvonne Shelton of White Plains was called home June 1, 2011, she was 66. She was born Nov. 14, 1944 in Valhalla to Walter & Margaret Shelton. Carol worked at Children’s Village for many years. She is survived by her daughter Torshell Bell, sons Walter Kennedy, Eugene Lowe, brother Walter Shelton, sisters Diane & Francine Shelton, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be Sat. 1pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St. Ossining, burial private.

GIORDANO, ANTHONY J. (T-Balls)
Anthony J. Giordano of Ossining died May 13, 2011, he was 82. He was born Feb. 6, 1929 in Ossining to Guisseppi & Maria D’Amato Giordano. Anthony worked for NYCRR, later Metro North, for 44 years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Anthony was pre-deceased by his wife Geraldine, brothers Joseph, William, Ernest, Patsy, sisters Concetta, Giselda & Anne. He is survived by his son Anthony J. Giordano Jr. of Montrose, daughter Theresa A. Giordano of Sterling, grandchildren Ashleigh & Brett Ecke and sister Emma Faiella. He will be reposing Tues. 2-4 & 7-9pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc., 32 State St., Ossining. Mass of Christian burial Wed. 10am at St. Ann’s Church, burial Rose Hill Mem. Park cemetery.

CAFARELLI, MARION C.
Marion C. Cafarelli of Cortlandt Manor died July 22, 2011, she was 84. She was born June 10, 1927 in Yorktown to Charles & Rose Hildenbrand Cross. Marion worked as an Activities Director at Springvale Inn for many years. She was pre-deceased by her husband Barney in 1993. She is survived by her sons Ronald (Barbara), Michael (Deborah), daughters Linda Carpenter (Peter), Toni Ann (Roslyn Simpson), sisters Dorothy Puglese, Ruth McCarthy, grandchildren Ronald Jr. (Sherly), Shannon (Jon), Peter Jr. (Susan), Jeffrey (Lindsey), Erin, Eric (Nicole), Amie, Nicholas, Zachary and 8 great-grandchildren. She will be reposing Sun. 2-4 & 7-9pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St. Ossining where services will be held Mon. 11am, entombment Rose Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society appreciated.

BOWERS, LINDA
Linda (Rocha) Bowers of Ossining, 66 passed away suddenly on July 18, 2011. She was born Oct. 6, 1944 in Ossining to Manuel & Elvira Rocha she was a strong independent and hardworking woman. She started her career with the Ossining school district then went into the banking industry for over 20 yrs where she retired with Apple Bank as a mortgage specialist. She was an inspiration to her daughters and they will cherish her forever. She was an avid NY Yankee fan and loved to take occasional trips to the casino. She is survived by her daughters, Helen Cassisi (Anthony) of Cortlandt Manor and Theresa Bowers of Wappinger Falls. Additionally Linda was blessed with three grandchildren Christopher, Lauren and Carly. She was always there to support her grandchildren at their sporting events and never missed a game. Her passing will leave a void in their lives but her memory will live on forever. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters John, August, Tony, Mary, Dorothy, and predeceased by her sisters Rose and Alice. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and extended family. She will be truly missed by all friends and family.She will be reposing Thurs. 2-4 & 7-9pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St. Ossining. Mass Fri. 10am at St. Ann’s Church, interment private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Maria Ferrari Children’s Hospital.

Elinor Huston Dean
Elinor Huston Dean who resided at The Living Center at Geneva (formerly of Trumansburg) passed away at The Living Center on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the age of 99.
Born on October 5, 1903 in Hector, New York, Elinor was the daughter of Samuel E. and Fannie Ely Huston. She was married to Fred S. Dean on January 1, 1927 in her home in Hector. They lived on a farm located on Searsburg Road for many years where Elinor was busy keeping a 14-room home, caring for flowers, gardening and hooking rugs in her spare time. In 1953 Fred built a home on Whig Street in the village of Trumansburg where the couple celebrated their 66th anniversary on January 1, 1993. (Mr. Dean passed away on January 21, 1993) Shortly after her husband's death Elinor moved to the Church Home in Geneva.
Elinor was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Ulysses and was one of the oldest members. She was also a member of a church circle Book Club, the Taughannock Chapter of the DAR, the Trumansburg Senior Citizen's and the Garden Club. During WW II Elinor served as a spotter at the Rice Farm where she was responsible for reporting the approach of enemy planes. She also worked at Cornell University during the registration period.
In addition to her husband, Elinor was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Shedrick of Buffalo. She is survived by a son, Richard E. (Miriam) Dean of Trumansburg; two granddaughters, Alison Dean of Chicago, IL and Traci Dean of Washington, DC; a niece, Martha Crawford of Westwood, MA and two great-nieces, Amy Cadell of Waitsfield, VT and Nan Beringer of Temple, NH.
A Memorial Service, at the First Presbyterian Church of Ulysses, will be scheduled and announced in early May of 2003.

John H. Williams
John H. Williams, age 84, of 929 East Shore Dr., Ithaca passed away at the Cayuga Medical Center on Saturday, January 11, 2003.
Born on July 1, 1918 in Delhi, New York, he was the son of Herman and Sarah Hudson Williams. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II who served in the European Theatre of Operations. Mr. Williams was employed by Cornell University for over 30 years, retiring in 1983.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife Eva M. Williams in 1990. He is survived by a son, John Murray of Interlaken, several grand-children and a niece.
In keeping with Mr. Williams's wishes, no public calling hours have been scheduled.
A Committal Service, at the Grove Cemetery in Trumansburg, will be scheduled and announced at a later date.

Ann Boone Pendleton
Ann Boone Pendleton, age 82, of 326 Forest Home Drive passed away at the Cayuga Medical Center on Saturday, January 11, 2003 from complications following open heart surgery.
Born in Manchester, Kentucky on March 26, 1920, Ann was the daughter of Dr. Lon Hendrixson Boone and Ella Jones Boone. She was raised in Wallins Creek, Kentucky where her father practiced medicine from horseback. Ann moved to Louisville at the age of 16 to live with her grandmother and attend school. Following graduation from high school, she attended Moorehead State Teacher's College in Kentucky and transferred to Cornell ('43) for her junior and senior years.
While working for the former School of Home Economics at Cornell, she met the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Pendleton ('42). They were married in Forest Home on June 7, 1946. Ann and Dick settled on Forest Home Drive to raise their five children.
Ann returned to work at Cornell in 1962, and within two years was hired as the Administrative Manager at Cornell's Law School, where she worked for the next twenty-one years.
Ann and Dick had an active volunteer and community life which included service to Cornell's Shoals Marine Laboratory, the Ithaca Kiwanis Club, the former Cornell Federal Credit Union and the Cornell Retirees Club.
Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, and her infant son James. She is survived by five children, Louis (Elsie Lucarelli) of Ellis Hollow, Amy (Harry) Simrell of Forest Home, Stephen (Vicki) of Powder Springs, Georgia, Karl (Lois) of Dryden and Miriam (John Drew) of Underhill, Vermont; ten grandchildren, Lucas, Will, Leslie, Brooks, Laura, Katie, Leah, Ben, Emily and Wells and one great-grandson, Logan. Ann's family are privileged to have had her in their lives, and will miss her love, courage, strength, and grace deeply.
The family will be present to receive their friends at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St, Trumansburg on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 pm and from 6:00-8:00 pm
A Memorial Service will be held at the Forest Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Deborah Pritts officiating. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the service. Parking and shuttle service will be provided from Cornell University's "A" lot, located on Pleasant Grove Road, to the Forest Home Chapel. The shuttle will stop for passengers at the UPPER SHELTER in "A" lot and will operate from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm.
Contributions in Ann's memory may be offered to the Shoals Marine Lab, G-14 Stimson Hall at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853, the Ithaca Kiwanis Club, 1401 ½ Slaterville Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850 or the Forest Home Chapel, Forest Home Dr, Ithaca, NY 14850.
