SLATER - REEVES

Patricia Christine Slater and Chad Everett Reeves were married on May 28, 2005 at half past five o'clock in the afternoon. The ceremony was held at College Acres Baptist Church. The Rev. Andy Ickes officiated. The Bride is the daughter of Mrs. Jean Bartlett Slater of Tioga, PA. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest A. Bartlett of Tioga, PA and of the late Jane C. Slater and the late Claude L. Slater of Elmira, NY. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward W. Reeves of Wilmington, NC. He is the grandson of Mr. Walter L. Jackson and the late Mrs. Luvenia Jackson and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Reeves. The bride was escorted by her brother, Mr. Jason L. Slater and given in marriage by her family. The bride's best friend, Ms. Carlene Giarelli of New Bern, NC served as maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Mrs. Charla Basky of Denver, CO., Mrs. Kendra Rommel of Garner, NC., Mrs. Rebecca Souther and Mrs. April Lester both of Wilmington, NC. Baileigh Rommel served as the flower girl. The groom's father, Mr. Edward Reeves, served as best man. The groomsmen included the groom's brother, Mr. Ty Reeves of Wilmington and friends of the groom Mr. Shane Winebar, Mr. Keith Baker both of Wilmington, and Mr. Brian Wise of Raleigh, NC. Second cousin of the groom, Tanner Daniels served as ring bearer. Cousins of the bride, Mrs. Ellen Benjamin and Ms. Melissa Crouthamel served as register and progam attendants, both of Elmira, NY. Music was provided by Mr. Scott King, pianist, Mrs. Natalie Chandler and Mrs. Rebecca Souther, served as soloists. Mrs. Barbara Giarelli and the groom's cousin, Mrs. Angela Winberry served as readers. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Scott's Hill Marina Clubhouse. A rehearsal dinner was hosted on Friday evening by the groom's parents. The bride received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and in marketing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is currently employed as a financial advisor with a firm in Jacksonville, NC. The groom received his Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from High Point University. He is currently employed as an inside salesman with Hughes Supply in Wilmington, NC. We would like to thank God for the many blessings that he continues to bestow upon us. We would also like to thank our family and friends for making this journey so wonderful and for making our wedding day a dream come true. Following a honeymoon to Punta Cana, the couple will reside in Wilmington, NC.
