Funeral mass for Judith A. Kramer, age 59, of Houston, Texas will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday November 27, 2004 at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor.
Mrs. Kramer died November 21, 2004 at M.H.H.S. Memorial City Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born November 18, 1945 in Cleveland, she had lived in Cleveland before moving to Houston.
Mrs. Kramer was a 1963 graduate of Euclid High School.
Survivors include her daughter Stacey (Russell) D’Agostino of Katy, Texas; sons Darryl (Valerie) Maher of Mentor, Daniel (Angelina) Maher of Houston, Texas, Todd (Elaine) Maher of Euclid, and Corey (Holly) Maher of Mentor; mother Rose Kramer Shenk of Mentor; grandchildren Elizabeth and Jacob D’Agostino, Emily, Hannah, Kenneth, Patrick, and Caleb Maher; brothers Gerald Kramer of Mentor and Leonard (Joan) Kramer of Mentor.
She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Kramer; special aunt Regina Croson and Edward Shenk.
Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Friday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Interment All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
Family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, 2400 Augusta Dr., Suite 175, Houston, Texas 77057-4999.

Memorial services for Robert W. Longhurst, 80, of Painesville, will be 2 p.m. Saturday September 25, 2004 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Longhurst died Sept. 20, 2004, at LakeEast Hospital in Painesville. He was born March 9, 1924, in Detroit, Mich., he lived in Willoughby before moving to Painesville in 1961.
He enjoyed reading about World War II and science fiction. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II and received a Purple Heart after the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. Longhurst worked for the City of Painesville. Following that, he worked at Society Bank as a security courier and purchasing agent, and then at Lubrizol for 22 years as a laboratory tech. He was night manager at Lake Theatre for many years.
Survivors are his wife, Frances Baffer; daughters, Kathleen (Michael) Patrick of Willoughby and Laurie (David) Nicholls of Florida; brother, David A. Young of Painesville; sisters-in-law, Shirley Young of Florida and Mary (Buzz) Wiltrout of Mentor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; son, Robert W. Longhurst; brother, Phillip Young; and sister-in-law, Peggy Young.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Inurnment is at Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville.
The family suggests contributions be made to Alzheimers Association, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland 44120, or to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton 44720.

Funeral service for Joseph J. Porostosky, age 53, of Painesville Twp. will be held 12 noon Saturday October 2, 2004 at Lake Shore Assembly of God, 8880 Lake Shore Blvd., Mentor.
Mr. Porostosky died Friday Sept. 24, 2004 at his residence. He was born Nov 4, 1950 in Painesville, Ohio, he had lived in Painesville Twp. for the last 27 years.
Mr. Porostosky was a teacher at Lake Catholic High School for 18 years. He was also a Senior Commander and District Training Coordinator of the Royal Rangers and an usher for many years at Lake Shore Assembly of God. He received his master’s degree in education from Cleveland State University.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years Veronica, daughter Maria (Micah) Lyman of Mississippi, son Reverend Joseph (Tricia) Porostosky of Columbus, Mother and Step father Florence (Anthony) Straziar of Mentor, brothers Jim of Mentor and Mark of Madison, sister Sue (Erp) Hall of Virginia and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph B.
Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon p.m. Saturday October 2, 2004 at the church.
Interment at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.

Helen S. (Spriggs) Young, age 93, of Mentor. Mrs. Young died Wednesday September 29, 2004 at Salida Woods Assisted Living in Mentor. She was born July 30, 1911 in Elyria.
Mrs. Young lived the majority of her youth in Washington, Pa. She completed high school, attended Washington Seminary finishing school and than graduated from Beaver College in Philadelphia, Pa.
Survivors include daughter Susan (Douglas) Kish of Mentor; granddaughter Caitlin C. Kish of Mentor.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clemens F.
Inurnment Washington Cemetery, Washington, Pa.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Rd., Mentor, Ohio 44060 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 12200 Fairhill Rd., Cleveland, Ohio 44120.

Funeral service for Ralph A. Harper, age 83, of Strongsville, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday February 2, 2005 at Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., in Mentor.
Mr. Harper died Jan. 29, 2005, at Holy Family Home in Parma. He was born Oct. 4, 1921, in Cleveland, he had lived in Mentor and Euclid before moving to Strongsville.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and he worked in real estate management.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Marjorie (Dunlap); children, David Harper of Berea, Nancy (Dan) Bolon of Strongsville, Laura (Mike) Perlic of Newbury, and Carol (Richard) Patrick of Mason; grandchildren, Sarah (Jason), Kelly (Justin), Kevin, Jessica, Richard, Steven, Lindsay, Daniel, Kathleen, and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jason; and brother, Howard (Agnes) Harper of Mentor.
His brother, Robert Harper, is deceased.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
The family suggests contributions be made to Holy Family Home, 6707 State Road, Parma 44134, or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland 44119.

Funeral service for Daniel J. Caine, age 59, of Mentor will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mr. Caine died Thursday, January 13, 2005 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. He was born February 23, 1945 in Cleveland.
Mr. Caine was a machinist at Vanco Tool and Machining Company in Chardon.
Survivors include his siblings Mary (Harold) Watson of California, Fran Paden of Lorain, Thomas (Patricia) Caine of Cleveland, Eileen (Richard) Leindecker of Mantua, and Christine Norris of Mentor; uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas F. and Anna Caine; sister Margaret Ann Skehan; brother John Caine.
Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. till the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment Mentor Cemetery, Mentor.

Funeral service for Betty R. (Tewart) Armstrong, 79, of Mentor, will be 1 p.m. Friday January 14, 2005 at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Mrs. Armstrong died Jan. 8, 2005, at Mentor Way Nursing and Rehab Center in Mentor. She was born Jan. 19, 1925, in Hamilton, she was a longtime Cleveland resident before moving to Mentor 25 years ago.
She enjoyed music, sports and movies. Her big smile and fun personality will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Armstrong worked as a commissary worker for Tops in Mentor, retiring after 20 years of service.
Survivors are her children, Deborah Gollin (Marc Cvelbar) of Willoughby and Thomas (Jacqui) Armstrong of Poulsbo, Wash.; grandchildren, Kimberly (Brian) Arbaugh, Robert and Justin (Cheryl) Gollin, Melissa (Joe) Cobb, and Christine (Jason) Scott; great-grandchildren, Noah, Owen, Avalon, Lexi and Casey; sisters, Shirley Deweese and Jean Roark; and brothers, Braxton and John Tewart; brothers-in-law, Richard (Madeline) Armstrong and Russell (Ann) Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1964.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at South Kirtland Cemetery in Kirtland.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Betty Armstrong may be made to Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor 44060.
