Services: Monday, Dec. 6 at 10:00 AM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square).
Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 5, 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Manwaring worked as a Quality Engineer for B.F. Goodrich Aerospace Division in Troy, OH for 26, retiring in 1992. He was an avid outdoorsman and a proud “treehugger”. He was an active volunteer from the time he was a young man, Miami County Hospice and Hospitals, even now at the Geauga Park District. He was a very giving and caring man, and enjoyed spending time helping others. He is survived by his wife Rosa Arnett-Manwaring of Chardon, daughters Robin (Robert) Bentley of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, Renee (Kathleen Bennett) Manwaring of Boca Raton, FL, Kristie (Randy) Ross of Chardon, sons Steve (Becky) Manwaring of Lebanon, OH, Richard (Scott) Manwaring of Westwego, LA, Steven Arnett of Chardon, grandchildren John, Jim, Dan, Jonathan, Dusten, Allie, Taylor, Gunnar, Jack and Katie and great grandson Cole. His parents Val David and Lillian M. (nee: Litz) Manwaring and brother David Manwaring are deceased. the family suggests donations to the Miami County Hospice, County Road 25A, Troy, OH 45373.

James L. Park
Born: February 20, 1922
Died: December 15, 2004
Services: Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 11:00 AM of Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square).
Visitation: Saturday, Dec. 18 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service
Mr. Park was a Veteran of the US Army Air Corp as a Tech Sgt in Airplane Maintenance in Luke Field, AZ. He was an avid Big Band Music fan and coin collector. He was a member of Village Lodge #274 F. & A.M., Burton and a longtime active member of the Knights of Pithias West Farmington, formerly of Middlefield. Mr. Park was blinded in his early 20’s, due to an accident while serving in the military. Survivors include his Brother Russell (Carole) Park of Walnut, IL and sisters Sally (Dale) Woomert of Havre de Grace, MD and Margie Wright of Salem, and many Nieces and Nephews, brother in law Dr. Walter Sargent of Chardon, nephew in law and care giver Bob Emmons of Chardon. Family suggests donations to First United Methodist Church of Middlefield, 14999 South State Avenue, Middlefield, OH 44062.

Linda Sue Keller (nee: Johnson)
Born: September 16, 1955
Died: December 11, 2004
Services: Wednesday, December 15 at 8:30 PM.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-8:30 PM at the Funeral Home.
Mrs. Keller was a graduate of Berkshire High School, class of 1974. She was a Bank Teller for Huntington National Bank, Burton and a Pianist for Chardon and Huntsburg Baptist Churches and Mapleview Mennonite Church. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining. Mrs. Keller was very crafty, enjoyed gardening and was a talented decorator. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children; she was a wife, mother and homemaker. Survivors include her husband Bob Keller of Mesopotamia, sons Joshua and Jonathan Keller of Mesopotamia, mother Marilyn Morgret of Windsor Twp., father Miller D. Johnson of Orwell, brothers Paul (Chris) Johnson of Windsor Twp., and Rev. David (Susan) Johnson of Huntsburg Twp.

Ned H. Shiflett
Born: December 16, 1924
Died: November 30, 2004
Services: MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, December 18, 2004, at 11:00 AM at Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North St., Chardon.
Visitation: The family will receive friends in the church Parlor following the service.
Ned H. Shiflett passed away Tuesday, November 30, surrounded by love both near and far. Ned, founder of International Hydraulics Incorporated, cherished his family, friends and community and served them faithfully throughout his life. Every day was dedicated to doing his best for himself and those around him. Mr. Shiflett was a Veteran of the US Navy during WWII. He was a 1947 Graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH, where he serviced as co-captain of the football team. He was an active member of the Chardon United Methodist Church, Chardon. Mr. Shiflett was an avid Tennis player and enjoyed all sports, especially The Cleveland Browns. He is survived by his wife Patricia of Chardon Twp., daughters Meliss (Larry) Washow of Barrington Hills, IL and Pam (Jon) Casey of Marion, No. Carolina, sons Geoff (Janet) Shiflett of Culver City, CA and Ned (Becky) Shiflett of Evergreen, CO, grandchildren Corie and Ben Washow, Sam Shiflett, and Kevin and Jason Shiflett, Bothers Raymond Shiflett of Dalton, GA and Richard Shiflett of Ocala, FL. His daughter Melinda, parents William O. and Ida Mae (Nee: Colquitt) Shiflett, brothers James and Ed Shiflett and sister Madrid Shiflett are all deceased. . The family requests DONATIONS in his name to The Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North Street, Chardon, OH 44024.

David J. Eardley, Jr.
Born: March 13, 1953
Died: November 29, 2004
Services: FUNERAL MASS: Friday, December 3, 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon.
Visitation: Thursday, 6-9PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (On Rt. 44, 500’ south of R.t 6/Chardon Square) Chardon.
Mr. Eardley was a member of the Hope of Glory Family Worship Center in Lakewood, CO. He enjoyed tennis, bicycling, reading, cameras and photography. He was also and avid car buff. Survirors include his parents David J. and Charlotte (Nee: Bink) Eardley Sr. of Chardon, brother of Machelle Williams of Dublin, Pamela (Joseph) Osler of Dunedin, FL, Thomas (Mary Ellen) of Loveland, James (Christy) of Arlington, TX, Joseph (Kelley) of Solon, Lawrence (Rose) of Dayton, WA, and John (Joyce Ann) of Beaver Creek. He was the uncle of Bradley, Brianna, Alissa, Jennifer, Danielle, Spencer, Scott, Zachary and Stuart Eardley, Elise Williams, and Haleigh and John Osler and the great nephew of Sister Lucy Dragonette CSJ of Cleveland and Rocco Dragonette of Lakeland, FL. Gladys Elizabeth Vaughn (nee: Matthewson)
Born: May 23, 1905
Died: December 06, 2004

Visitation: The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1:00 – 2:30, in Fellowship Hall, at Chardon United Methodist Church, Chardon.
Mrs. Vaughn was a graduate of Chardon High School and Kent State University. She was a member of the Fowlers Mill Christian Church for many years, and later joined the Chardon United Methodist Church where, she sang in the choir, led the Jr. choir and was the assistant organist. Mrs. Vaughn was an Elementary Teacher and Principal in Geauga County for 36 years, having taught in Hambden, Chesterland and Newbury. She was a charter member of the Geauga County Retired Teachers and a member of the National Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Vaughn taught Voice and Piano lessons and volunteered at the Hattie Larlham foundation for many years. She was also a longtime member of the “Beaux and Belles”. She is survived by her son Arbin (Loretta) Vaughn, Jr. of Chardon, grandchildren Rebecca Vaughn of Lancaster, Michael (Christy) Vaughn of Painesville, Steven (Traci) Vaughn of Parker, CO, Donald (Karyn) Vaughn of Belleville, MI, great granddaughters Caitlin, Julia and Morgan. Step Children Sister Barbara Vaughn of St. Mary’s Monastery, Navoo, IL and Richard Vaughn of MI, sister Muriel Kieffer of Chardon, nieces Rev. Wendy (Keith) Guion of Ashland, and Joan (Thomas) Rawdon of Grandville. Her husband Arbin Vaughn, Sr., parents James and Esther (nee: Harris) Matthewson and sister Elva Mills. Constance “Connie” Beazle (nee: Bodine)
Born: December 19, 1951
Died: December 06, 2004
Services: MEMORIAL SVC: Wed. Dec. 8 at 4:00 PM at the Burton Congregational Church, 14558 W. Park St., Burton Square.
Visitation: Thursday, Dec. 9, 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (on St. Rt. 44 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square).
Mrs. Beazle was an award winning artist as well as co owner, resident artist and teacher at “A Garden’s Way” Gallery at “Sunflowers Studio”, Burton village Square, a member of the Geauga County Arts Council, and the Burton Congregational Church. She was the co founder of the Arts Ministry at Burton Congregational Church, an avid gardener and a member of “GANG”, Geauga Artists Networking Group. She is survived by her husband Jim Beazle of Burton Twp., sisters Bonnie (Rainey) Shufelt of Coeymans, NY, Sara (Alan) Strauss of Romulus, NY and Dr. Andrea (Fred) Bodine Mensch of Pittsfield, MA, several nieces and nephews. Donations are suggested to the Burton Congregational Church, 14558 W. Park Street, Burton, OH 44021.
