Mary Locke

Funeral services for Seminole native Mary Mae "Shorty" Locke were held Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Tuttle.

Burial followed at Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of Primrose Funeral Home in Norman.

She died Thursday in Oklahoma City.

She was born May 21, 1928, in Seminole to Robert and Rosa Lee (Johnston) Singleton.

She married Charles Eldon Locke on Aug. 18, 1969, in Maryland.

She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include one son, Roger Walker, Yukon; one daughter, Melissa McWhorter, Longview, Texas; a stepdaughter, Patricia Bray, Georgia; a sister, Mavie Lynn, Chickasha; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters and five brothers.

Marvin Long

Graveside services for longtime Seminole County resident, Marvin Long of Konawa, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 at the Vamoosa Cemetery with Rev. Lester Robbins officiating.

Services are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.

Long died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at the age of 79 at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada.

He was born Jan. 31, 1924, in Seminole to Hub Long and Susan (Effie) Long.

He was married to Marie (Payne) on June 25, 1949, in Bakersfield, Calif.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Amos Construction Company in Oklahoma City for many years.

Long was affiliated with the Asher Assembly of God Church.

Long was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Marie of the home, two sons, Marvin Danny Long of Lumberton, N.C. and Mark Dewayne Long of Konawa; three sisters, Donny Joyce Scott of Lumberton, N.C., Linda Monholland of Oklahoma City and Kathy Lynn Everheart of Ada; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Hazel Longacre

Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Hazel Leona (Huckabee) Longacre, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ at Little.

Rev. Rusty Dawson will officiate the services.

Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Longacre died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003 at the Seminole Estates Nursing Center at the age of 91.

She was born to Fred G. Huckabee and Alice G. (Fullbright) on May 4, 1912 in Shawnee.

She married Robert Melton Longacre on May 26, 1927 in Oklahoma City .

Longacre was a longtime Seminole resident for 66 years having moved here from Oklahoma City.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ of Little.

Longacre was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Melton Longacre on Feb. 20, 1988; her parents; one sister, Lillian Maxwell in 2001; one brother, Freddie Huckbee in 1921; two sons-in-law, Hubert Aldridge in 1973 and Leroy McNally in 1995; one granddaughter, Vickie Dennise Aldridge in 1959; and one great-grandson, Lance Cooper in 1987.

She is survived by three daughters, Betty Aldridge, Seminole, Bobbie Seifried, Seminole and Geneva McNally, Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Velora McGee, Pampa, Texas; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Steve McNally, Rusty Aldridge, John Seifried, Mark Seifried, David Bass, George Bentley, and Stacy Cooper.

Willard Lorette

Funeral services for former Seminole resident Willard Lineaus "Jack" Lorette are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Odessa, Texas.

Rev. Steve Trout will officiate the services.

Burial will take place in Norman, under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home of Odessa, Texas.

He was born to Linneus Leotis and Grace Rising Lorette on July 31, 1915 in Payne County, between Yale and Oilton.

Lorette was the 1933 State Wrestling Champion in the 165-pound weight class, and state collegiate champion in 1935, 1936, and 1937 while at Oklahoma A&M University.

He married Richey Bernayz Hooper on April 22, 1936 in Sapulpa.

Lorette joined the production department of Shell Oil Company in 1937.

He moved to Odessa in 1951 to start in the well servicing business.

In 1963 he joined Roden Oil Company after working two years with American Independent Oil Company in Kuwait.

He retired from HNG Oil Company as its operational vice-president.

Lorette was a member of H.A. McFarland Masonic Lodge, the El Maida Shrine and the First United Methodist Church of Odessa.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years; his parents; and one sister, Bea Lorette Jones.

Lorette is survived by one sister, Lucille Lorette Unger, Burden, Kan.; one son, Lineaus Hooper Lorette, Ft. Davis, Texas; one daughter, Glee Lorette Greenwood, San Francisco, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Frank Louellen

Graveside funeral services for Wewoka resident Frank Louellen were scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Wolf Cemetery.

Rev. Larry Chesser was set to officiate.

Burial is to follow at Wolf Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.

Louellen died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 at Seminole Medical Center at the age of 83.

He lived in Konawa for many years before moving to Wewoka in 1999.

He was born Aug. 8, 1919 in Enterprise to Richard and Ellen (Williams) Louellen.

Louellen was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his family.

Bradley Lovett

Funeral services for former Seminole County resident, Bradley G. Lovett are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Lakeview Church of Christ in Shawnee with Ben Glover officiating.

Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh,

He died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at the age of 87 in Mannford.

He was born Aug. 29, 1916, in Murray, Ky. to Clyde L. and Nancy (Pittman) Lovett.

He attended schools in Anadarko.

Lovett came to Oklahoma in a covered wagon and following his marriage, he and his wife lived in Oklahoma City before moving to Wewoka.

In 1959, they moved to Kansas and lived there until 1972.

They had also lived in Drumright before making their home in Shawnee in 1982.

Lovett had lived in Mannford the past two years.

He served with the U.S. Navy, stationed in the South Pacific during World War II.

He married Ruby Lenore Foster on Jan. 10, 1938, in Oklahoma City.

She preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 1991.

He worked as an oilfield pumper.

While living in Hamilton, Kan., he worked for Grace Petroleum Company, transferring with them to Shamrock, where he worked in the oilfields in the Drumright areas before retiring in Shawnee.

He was a member of the Lakeview Church of Christ in Shawnee and was an avid golfer.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Bradley Lovett Jr. and two brothers, Cecil and Joe.

He is survived by three sons, Kaen Lovett of Tulsa, Benny Lovett of Shawnee and Jim Lovett of Mannford; one daughter, Joyce Todd of Tulsa; two sisters, Minnie Smith of Oklahoma City and Eula Mae Smith of Talent, Ore.; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Katherine Lucy

Graveside services for former Seminole County resident Katherine Lucy are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, July 25 at the Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home.

She died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at the age of 81 at Pauls Valley General Hospital.

She was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Ada to Jess Golightly and Dena (Summers) Golightly.

She was married to Mosco Frank Lucy on Sept. 5, 1940, in Tecumseh.

She was a resident of Maud.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years; three brothers, Jess, Cotton and Rudolph Golightly; and one sister, Geraldine White.

She is survived by one son, Roy and Debby Lucy of Ada and one daughter, Joe Ree Lucy of Pauls Valley.

Services will be officiated by Pastor Buck Jordan of Lexington.

Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery, Maud under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home.
