Tammy Jo King

Funeral services for long time Wrangler employee Tammy Jo King are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Wewoka United Indian Methodist Church in Yeager with Rev. Joe Lowe, Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.

King died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 38.

Born to Billy and Charlene (Jay) Conley on March 25, 1967, in Marlow, King lived in various communities in Oklahoma.

She spent most of her childhood in Holdenville where she attended school and graduated from Holdenville High School in 1985.

On Feb. 22, 1985, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert King, in Henryetta. With the exception of a short time in Shawnee, they made their home in Holdenville.

Tammy sang with her family’s gospel music singing group "The Messengers," as a young girl.

She was an active member of the Wewoka United Indian Methodist Church in Yeager, serving as a Sunday School Superintendent and Treasurer.

She made many friends in the area who worked with her at Wrangler in Seminole where she worked for 15 years.

Tammy sewed and cooked and spent time watching her children play sports.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charlie Jay and paternal grandparents, Floyd and Ada Conley.

Tammy is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert King, Jr.; daughter Amber King; son Aaron King, all of the home; parents, Billy and Charlene Conley of Cyril; maternal grandmother, Juanita Jay Vaughn; brother, Charles Conley of Rush Springs; and sister, Charlotte Winsor of Marlow.

Pallbearers are Cody Story, Travis Whitlock, Stanley Whitlock, Eric Factor, Phillip Marshall and Joe Elliott. Honorary pallbearers are Craig Winsor and Kevin King, Sr.

Curtis Kiser

Funeral services for Holdenville resident Curtis Kiser are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Hudson-Phillips Chapel.

Burial will follow service at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.

Mr. Kiser passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005 in Ada at the age of 76.

Pallbearers are to be Billy Joe Kiser, John Kiser, Sonny Kiser, Roger Kiser, Rex Kiser, Hershel Kiser, James Lee Shirrock and Robert Norris.

Honorary bearers are to be Henry "Doc" Jordan, Jackie Jones, Terry Yarbrough, Danny Yarbrough, Tommy King and Steve Husline.

Curtis Dewayne Kiser was born Oct. 31, 1928 in Calvin, Okla. to Howard Joe Kiser and Lucille Couch Kiser. He was raise in Holdenville and Wetumka: attending Fairview Schools.

He worked for various oil companies including Charlie McDaniels, and as an auctioneer. Curtis enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and gardening.

His beloved parents and one brother, Harold Dean Kiser preceded him in death.

Surviving are his four children, Ronnie Kiser of Ada, Rick Kiser of Oklahoma City, Diane Langwell and husband, David, of Wewoka and Kathy Lynn Kiser; stepchildren, Harvey Hogue, Verna Wilson, Wanda Young and Patricia Louise.

In addition, Ed leaves behind brothers, Bobby Kiser Sr. and wife, Helen of Bakersfield, Calif. and Tommy Kiser of Jett; sisters, Wilma Joe Eddy of Flagstaff, Ariz., Bettie Hulsteine and husband Dale of Wetumka, and Dorothy Norris and husband, Wayne of Holdenville; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Also surviving are ex-wives, Donna Jean Kiser and Azell Hogue, both of Ada, and a host of other relatives and friends.

George Ann Kitsmiller

Funeral service for Wewoka resident George Ann Kitsmiller is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Stout-Phillips funeral chapel. Interment is scheduled at Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Dan Anderson is set to officiate.

Kitsmiller died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at her home. She was 68.

She was born in Maud on Aug. 14, 1936, to George M. Purcell and Edna F. Barnes Purcell.

She married Walter Vernon Kitsmiller on April 14, 1955, in Bashra, Iraq.

Kitsmiller was a member of the Church of Christ and a 24-year member of the Rebekah Lodge of Wewoka. She had served as District Deputy and President of district number one of Rebekah Assemblies of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Walter Vernon.

Kitsmiller is survived by her daughter, LaDonna Soblaine Kitsmiller of the home; son, Walter LaVern Kitsmiller of Wewoka; brother, John Purcell of Talequah; sister, Margaret Northcutt of Hemphill, Texas; and seven grandchildren.

Peggy Lee Koons

Memorial services for Wewoka resident Peggy Lee Koons are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Wewoka.

Koons, 75, died Friday, May 27, 2005 at Carl Albert Hospital. She was born in Coalgate on Aug. 11, 1929 to Lee Pebworth and Mary (Paris) Pebworth.

She graduated from Coalgate High School and married L.D. Koons on March 2, 1984 in Mid-Lothian, Texas.

Koons was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, dancing and gardening.

Her parents and brother, Albert Ray (Sonny) Pebworth preceded her in death.

Surviving is her husband of the home; sons Jack McMillan, Kevin McMillan, of Midwest City and Stuart McMillan of Broken Arrow; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Rachel Krummrich

Graveside services for former Seminole resident Rachel Irene "The Land Lady" Krummrich are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Maple Grove Cemetery.

The local arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Visitation is scheduled for 9 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Krummrich, 85 of Nashville, Ill., passed away at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005 at Countryside Manor in Aviston. She was born Sept. 26, 1920 in Kansas to Fred and Verna Bullard Tolbert.

She graduated from Seminole High School with honors in 1938 and was on the staff of the Seminole Chieftain.

Rachel married Eugene Walter Krummrich in Belleville and he passed away on Jan. 19, 1995.

Also preceding her in death was her brother, Jim, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Tolbert.

She moved to St. Louis, Mo. in 1942 and worked for the Douglas Aircraft Plant while two of her brothers served overseas.

Rachel was the former owner and broker of Land Mart Realty in Nashville, Ill. where she became best known as "The Land Lady."

Among her other places of employment throughout her life she worked at Kroger’s for several years and owned an antique shop.

Krummrich was a member of the Illinois Historical Society and was on the Nashville Water Board for many years.

Rachel liked to collect teddy bears and has lead a very busy, dedicated life. She was a generous, giving person and will be missed by all.

Surviving her are four sons, Vernon and Tammy Krummrich of Nashville, Leslie Krummrich of Vandalia, David and Rosa Krummrich of Oklahoma City and Phillip and Karen Taylor Krummrich of Moorehead, Ky.

Also surviving are two brothers, Lee and Virginia Tolbert of Del City and Joe Tolbert of Seminole; two sisters, Freda and Charles Hamilton of Portland, Ore. and Patricia and J.R. Hale of Seminole and five grandchildren, Jim and Jackie Krummrich, Susan and Ed ward, Terri and Mike Burroughs, Eugene and Missy Krummrich and Christopher Krummrich.

In addition, 11 great-grandchildren, Danny, Aaron and Jordan Krummrich, Katie and Jeremy New, Ryan Hoerst, Randi and Rachel Burroughs, Megan, Nicholas and Jacob Krummrich; four step grandchildren, Carrie and Jason Shopinski, Amye, Sarah and John Adam Nettles and one step great-grandchild, Rebecca Shopinski survive her.

Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Styninger-Krupp Funeral Home in Nashville, Ill. with Rev. Robert Herath officiating.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.

Phillip Kuehner

Memorial services for longtime Seminole resident, Phillip Edward Kuehner are scheduled for 3 p.m., Thursday at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Kuehner, age 43, passed away, Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman. He was born on Jan. 21, 1962 to Phillip Sam and Mary (Bryant) Kuehner.

Kuehner worked in the oilfield as a roughneck.

His father precedes him in death.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mary and Leon Mayes of Missouri; three sons, William Stanley Kuehner, Bradley Edward Kuehner and Adam James Kuehner, all of Seminole; two sisters, Alice Greenfield of Edmond and Melody LaGreca of Clearwater, Fla.

Carol Sue Kuestersteffen

Funeral services for Konawa resident Carol Sue Kuestersteffen are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Vamoosa Baptist Church with Rev. Carroll Milner officiating.

Interment is set for Center Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.

Kuestersteffen died Monday, April 25, 2005, at her residence in Konawa. She was 54.

She was born June 25, 1950, in Wewoka to James Tillman Heard and Elsie (Cooley) Heard.

On Jan. 2, 1999, she married Tony Kuestersteffen in Laughlin, Nev. That same year she moved from Ada to Konawa.

Kuestersteffen held various jobs in Texas prior to moving to Oklahoma including Joy’s Flower shop, Mobley’s Office Supply, Stivers Consulting, Johnny Appleseed and Graham Medical Supply. She worked for Don Hill Trucking in Ada as a dispatcher for several years.

Kuestersteffen was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers.

Kuestersteffen is survived by her husband, Tony Kuestersteffen of the home; two daughters, Shelia Harjo and Leslie Davidson and her husband Gabel, all of Ada; three sisters, Faye Kinsey and her husband Jim of Soper, Mae Mullins of Konawa and Polly Hill and her husband Don of Ada; three brothers, Ivan Heard of Wolf, J.T. Heard of Konawa and Doc Heard of Seminole; and four grandchildren, Kirsten, Hailey, Bryce and Nadia.

Brian Hill, Adam Hill, Gabel Davidson, Matthew Kuestersteffen, Leo Kuestersteffen and Zeb Kuestersteffen are set to be Pallbearers.

Honorary bearers will be Don Hill, Floyd Downey, Homer Downey, Bill Murray, Jim Burns and John Hooser.
