Kay Moreland Waller

Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident, Kay Moreland Waller are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday at the First Baptist Church with Jim Waller (brother-in-law) to officiate.

Interment will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Kay passed away, Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the age of 63. She was born, July 30, 1942 in Cordell, Okla. to Joe Kenneth and LaNore (Patterson) Craft.

She was a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School. She worked as a beautician at Arvilla’s Beauty Shop for over 15 years.

Kay owned and raced her own racehorses and loved gardening.

She is survived by her husband of the home, Tom Waller; father and stepmother, Joe and Dottie Craft; two sons, Keith and Lori Moreland of Goliad, Texas and Kendall and Barbara Moreland of Bellville, Texas; two brothers, Randy and Peggy Craft of Victoria, Texas and Terry and Judy Craft of Cushing, Okla. and two sisters, Phyllis and Ollie Adams and Pam and Steve Gustus, all of Seminole.

Four grandchildren, Kendra Burnside, Kyle Moreland, Kayla Moreland, Kane Moreland and one step-grandson, Eddie Griffin and nine nieces and nephews, Kim Hooker, Rory O'Neil, Julie Branson, Tiffany Portewig, Courtney Craft, Rodney Craft, Lacy Zeisek, Tony Craft and Josh Craft also survive her.

Her mother, LaNore Craft; her daughter, Dian Moreland Griffin and nephew, Trinton Keith Craft, preceded her in death.

The family suggests that in memory of Kay, donations may be made to Faith Hospice of Seminole.

Paul Waltman

Funeral services for longtime Maud resident Paul Waltman were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Maud.

Burial followed, with military honors, at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home of Maud.

Rev. Wayne Taylor officiated the service.

Waltman died Aug. 19, 2006, Saturday, at his home in Maud, at the age of 73.

He was born Jun 7, 1933, in Maud, to Martin Waltman and Florence (Bussey) Waltman.

Waltman went to school in Maud, graduating from Maud high school in 1951.

He married Joy Carol Hill on July 15, 1952 at the Rock Church in the Remus Community near Maud.

In 1953, Waltman joined the U.S. Army, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal and received an honorable discharge with the rank of corporal.

He worked for Moran-K Oil in Seminole for 30 years and was a production superintendent.

Waltman was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Waltman, of the home; two sons, Britt Waltman, of Maud, and Boyd Waltman, of Tahlequah; two brothers, Pete Waltman of Bakersfield, Calif., and Bill Waltman, of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Pauline Wilson, of Mineral Wells, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Casket bearers were listed as Britt Waltman, Boyd Waltman, Byron Waltman, Jan Northcott, Stan Gregory, Brian Jenkins, Earl Jenkins, Gavin Acree, and Eric Acree.

Honorary bearers were listed as Carol Williams, Sharon Northcott, Sue Herriman, Jacqueline "Jackie" Acree, Kathy Wilson, Melissa Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Michael Waltman, and Shelby Waltman.

Esther Ward

Graveside services for Seminole resident Esther Allene (Dodson) Ward are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of the Swearingen Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chesser, Jr. officiating.

Ward died Friday in Seminole at the age of 97. She was born June 21, 1909 in Fairplay Missouri to Albert and Clellie (Slatter) Dodson.

May 5, 1993, Ward married Raymond Derrell Ward in Bullhead City, Ariz. She waited tables for many years while she lived in California.

In May of 2003, Ward moved to Seminole from Fresno, Calif. Where she was a member of the State of California Old Time Fiddlers Association.

Ward is survived by her husband of Seminole; two stepsons, Preston K. Ward of Squaw Valley, Calif., and Ronald Derrell Ward of Tulary, Calif.; daughter Tammy (Ward) Hass of Visalin Calif.; and two grandsons who reside in California.

Troy Ray Ware

Funeral services for Seminole native Troy Ray Ware are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the North Fork Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Bruce Sanders.

Burial is to follow service at Oakwood Cemetery in Mounds, Okla. under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Checotah.

Visitation will be today from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. and tomorrow from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Ware, 61, of the Eufaula area, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006 at his home in Runaway Bay Estates. Troy was born March 17, 1924 at Seminole, the son of Rubert and Lena (Lane) Ware.

He was united in marriage to Pat Banks on April 23, 1945. He was a member of the North Fork Baptist Church where he enjoyed working with the builders as they repaired and built churches in surrounding areas.

Troy always had a good story to tell and kept friends and family laughing. When in his 70’s he built his retirement home on Lake Eufaula with the help of his wife Pat.

Troy was a good man, loved and adored by many and will be missed. He could always bring a smile to your face and a laugh to your heart.

His parents; five brothers, Clyde, Roger, George, Ira J. and Lloyd; one sister, Florence Smith; nephews, Jim and Johnny Ware and Jerry and Ronnie Smith, all of Seminole and two nieces, Kerrie and Angele Jackson preceded him in death.

Troy is survived by his wife Pat of the home; two daughters, Patricia Hall of Flippin, Ark. and Lenda Breeding of Shawnee; four grandsons, Troy and Roy Hall and dad Lowell, Matthew and his wife Elise of Moore, Timothy of Norman and dad Dan Breeding and one sister, Sharon Jackson and husband Gerald of Konawa.

In addition, three nephews, Gene Smith of Bella Vista, Ark., Michael Jackson of Miami, Okla. and Steve Ware of Oklahoma City; five nieces, Peggy Bowen of Burbank, Okla., Susan Shipley of Ada, Rita Scott of Eufaula, Debbie Chesser of Holdenville and Sandy Plum of Bristow and two loving sisters-in-law, Grace Brunelle of Red River, N.M. and Nadja Cole of Calif. survive him.

Casket bearers will be his grandsons and their dads, with honorary casket bearers to be Norman Wagoner, Red Collins, Chas Young and Raymond Foutch.

The family suggests that memorial donations may be made to the Free Clinic at North Fork Baptist Church.

Daniel Watson

Funeral service for longtime Earlsboro resident Daniel Watson are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at First Indian Baptist Church, Shawnee, with Rev. Ellis Rolette and Eastman Factor officiating.

Burial will follow at Mack Family Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

A wake service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday at First Indian Baptist Church.

Watson, 69, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006 in Shawnee. He was born Sept. 11, 1936 in Wewoka to Willie B. and Winey M. Ellis.

He has lived in Shawnee and the surrounding area nearly all of his life; living in Earlsboro since 1985.

Daniel was a Bethel High School graduate and attended Oklahoma Christian University.

He served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

On Aug. 23, 1955 he married Frankie L. Kaseca in Shawnee.

He retired from Tinker Air Force Base as a computer analyst and was a member of the Seminole Nation and attended Abiding Grace Tabernacle.

Daniel enjoyed bowling, playing and coaching baseball and fast pitch softball. The name of his softball team was "Shawnee Braves, " alongside of coaching women’s softball and basketball teams, in addition to little league sports.

He had a passion for playing his bass guitar and singing at church services.

His son, Timothy Owen; his parents and a brother, Theodore Watson preceded him in death.

Surviving is his wife of the home; six sons and four daughters-in-law, Greg and Martha Watson of Shawnee, Darrell Watson of Wintzville, Mo., Tommy and Ella Watson of Shawnee, Danny Watson of Oklahoma City, Brent and Lisa Watson of Shawnee and Patrick and Jamie Watson of McLoud.

In addition, surviving is his former daughter-in-law, Carolyn Blanchard of Shawnee; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Leroy and Henryetta Ellis of Tecumseh and JoAnn Watson of Tecumseh; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Watson

Beverley Jean Watters

Beverley Jean Watters was born on Oct. 18, 1950, to Arrie Jackson and Iva Jean (Moody) Reich in Tulare, Calif.

The family moved to Wewoka in 1967. Beverley graduated high school in Wewoka in 1968. She was united in marriage to Derrell G. Watters on July 12, 1968, in Wewoka. The couple then moved to Morrison, where they have lived since 1976.

Beverley is remembered as being a very selfless woman who would do anything she could to help others. She loved writing poetry and had a talent for doing so.

She was a devoted Christian woman and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morrison.

She enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. She especially liked being in and around the water and loved going to the lake. She was a good cook and also enjoyed going antique shopping. She was a very tidy lady who loved cleaning her home.

Beverley loved spending time with her family and was present at all school and sporting events that her family was a part of. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and was a very loving wife and mother.

She is described as being one of the most generous and giving individuals that anyone knew and will be deeply missed by all.

Beverley passed away at her home in Morrison on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006. She was 55 years of age.

She is survived by her father, Arrie Reich and wife Norma of Sasakawa; husband, Derrell Watters of the home; three children, Regina Michelle Hilger and husband Johnny of Sand Springs, Terri Daniece Treat and husband Bradley of Morrison, Michael Wesley Watters and wife Amy of Masham; five grandchildren, Heath and Hunter Hilger, Macy Treat, Skylar and Nathan Watters; one brother, Avery Reich; one sister, Melinda Edwards; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Iva Reich; one sister, Violet Ross and one daughter, Tina Renay Watters.

Services for Beverley Watters will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Morrison. Interment will be at 4 p.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.

Pastor Phillip Mullins will be officiating. Visitation will be held at Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home on Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Jenenne Wear

A graveside service for Edmond resident Darla Jenenne Wear is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Little Cemetery with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Wear, 45, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 in Edmond. She was born Oct. 13, 1960 in Oklahoma City to Ernest Eugene Wear and Letha (Anderson) Wear.

She graduated from Hennessey high School in 1979 and served in the United States Army. Wear loved God and enjoyed reading in her Bible daily.

Surviving are her parents, Letha and Gene Wear of Seminole; two daughters, Shannon Licinski of Edmond and Sheila Whitton of Porterville, Calif.; three grandchildren and her former husband and father of her children, Stephen Valtr.

Alan Webb

Funeral services for Wewoka resident Alan Dean Webb are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Wewoka Indian Methodist Church in Yeager, Okla.

Rev. Dan Factor will be officiating the services with Rev. Leonard Factor assisting.

Wake services are scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel.

Interment is to follow at McGirt Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.

Webb, 26, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in Tulsa. He was born Jan. 13, 1980 in Shawnee to Ken and Lela (Miller) Webb.

He grew up in the Wewoka area and attended school in Wewoka and Scripp Ranch, Calif.

On April 19, 2004 he married Jennifer Lowe in Wewoka. He was working for John L. Lewis as an operator.

Survivors include his wife of Wewoka; two children, Taitlyn Webb and Kalan Webb, both of Wewoka; parents, Kenneth Webb and Lela Webb of Florida; grandparents, W.K. and Virginia Webb of Maryville, Tenn. and grandmother, Mary Glee Factor of Sasakwa.

In addition, surviving he has two brothers, Nakia Webb and Kenny Webb, both of Florida and five sisters, Maggie Webb of Florida, Jodie Webb of Wewoka, Kristin Webb and Carrie Webb, both of Florida and Jessica Vogle of Muskogee.

Pallbearers for the services will be Mark Brennan, Larry Brennan, Tony Factor, Larry Nuchols, Patrick Harjo, Roger Davis and Barry Boling.

Honorary bearers will be James Lowe, Jon Lowe, Jordan Miller, Ray Dyer, Amin Factor and Ali Mayahi.
