FORREST B. FRITZ
Services will be held for Forrest B. Fritz, 83, of North Washington Street, Pottstown, husband of Nora (Dotterer) Fritz, who died August 5.
Born in Greshville, Berks County, he was a 1937 graduate of Amity High School.
Fritz retired from Hollenbach Home Center in 1984 and continued to work part-time until 1996. He previously worked for the former Boyertown Auto Body Works for 36 years.
He attended Trinity EC Church, Boyertown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David D. Fritz of Pottstown and Mark D. Fritz of London; and one granddaughter.
Contributions may be made to Trinity EC Church, P.O. Box 541, Boyertown, PA 19512; or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity E.C. Church, Sweinhart Road, Boyertown, with the Rev. Kevin S. Leibensperger, pastor, officiating.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
The arrangements are being handled by the Houck Funeral Home of Pottstown.

ROMAINE HOFFMAN
Services were held for Romaine “Babe” Hoffman, 83, of Millville, who died August 1 in his home, while under the care of Hospice.
He was the husband of Eleanor J. (Higgins) Hoffman for 31 years.
Hoffman was born in Boyertown, and was a graduate of Boyertown High School class of 1937.
He was a resident of the Vineland/Millville area since 1948.
Hoffman was a retired insurance salesman and had worked for several local insurance agencies and retired in 1988 from the Wolf Insurance Agency. He had been employed in the insurance business for 30 years.
He was a member of the Vineland Lions Club, Millville Rescue Squad, Pine Valley Gun Club, Roxborough Gunning Club of Philadelphia and the Blue Rock Shooting Club. He also enjoyed model trains and railroading.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Cynthia Jane Taylor, Millville; Sandra Jean DePalma, Vineland; Elaine Martin, Elmer; two sons, John Robert Hoffman, Millville and Richard Joseph Menz, Millville.
Also fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Care of South Jersey, 2848 S. Delsea Dr., Vineland, NJ 08360.
The Pancoast Funeral Home, Vineland, NJ., handled the arrangements.
Burial was in the Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville, NJ.

MARGARET E. DREES
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Margaret E. Drees, 83, formerly of Oley Township, who died December 9 in Kutztown Manor Inc., where she had resided for 18 months.
Her husband, Ralph A. Drees, died in 1998.
Born in St. Lawrence, she was a graduate of Mount Penn High School.
She was a leader for several years with the Boy Scouts of America.
Drees was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township.
Surviving are a son, Andrew T., Allentown, and a daughter, Sandra Y. (Drees) Graczyk, New Tripoli, Lehigh County.
Other survivors include a brother and two grandsons.
Celebration will be held at St. Catharine of Siena Chapel, Mount Penn, on December 18 at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
The Christ & Catagnus Funeral Home Inc., Oley, handled the arrangements.

ALMA A. MOYER
Private services were held for Alma A. (Reppert) Moyer, wife of Linwood K. Moyer, who died December 9 in Kutztown Manor in Kutztown, where she was a patient for two weeks.
Born in Boyertown, Moyer was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Sassamansville.
Moyer is survived only by her husband of 56 years.
Contributions may be made to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 1809 Hoffmansville Road, Sassamansville, PA 19472.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown.
The Morrell Funeral Home, Boyertown, handled the arrangements.

JAMES T. DYKIE
A funeral Mass was celebrated for James T. Dykie, 72, husband of Anne M. (McManus) Dykie of Hill Road in New Hanover, who died December 9 at his home.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., Dykie was a 1948 graduate of the former East Greenville High School.
He worked as a mason for Valley Forge National Historical Park for seven years, retiring in 1996. He previously worked as a brick layer for Local No. 54 of the Brick Layers Union in Norristown for 25 years.
Dykie was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg, where he served as an usher and volunteer.
He also volunteered as a driver for Open Line in Pennsburg and at the Thrift Shop in Red Hill.
He served in the Navy aboard the USS Black Destroyer during the Korean War.
A member of the American Legion Post No. 184 of East Greenville, the Kline-Styer-McCann Veterans of Foreign Wars in Trappe and the Pike Township Sportsmen’s Association in Pike Township.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 38 years are a son, James R. Dykie of Collegeville; a daughter, Andrea L. Richards of Marlton, N.J.
Also a brother and two grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the church’s building fund.
Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery , Pennsburg.
The arrangements were handled by the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.

PAUL HEFFENTRAGER
Services were held for the Rev. Paul S. Heffentrager, 82, of Highland Street in Allentown, who died December 10 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, near Allentown.
He was the widower of Rhea M. (Trout) Heffentrager.
Born in Bally, he graduated from Practical Bible College in Binghamton, N.Y.
He was the superintendent of the Allentown Rescue Mission from 1958 until he retired in 1985. He also worked for Hutt’s Glass Shop in Gilbertsville and as a milk man for the Longacre Dairy.
Heffentrager was a member of the Limerick Chapel in Limerick.
He was also an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son, Timothy P. Heffentrager, of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Daureen L. Heffner of Leola, Lancaster County, and Jane S. Handwerk of Allentown; a brother, Earl Heffentrager of Limerick; a sister, Naomi Standhardt of Oley; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to Allentown Rescue Mission, 353 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA 18101.
Burial will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories in Limerick.
Trexler Funeral Home Inc., Allentown, was in charge of the arrangements.

JOSEPH P. NAILON
Funeral services were held for Joseph P. “Pat” Nailon, 60, of Eisenhower Road, Boyertown who died December 11 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. He was the husband of Peggy A. (Chillano) Nailon.
Born in Norristown, he graduated from Bishop Kenrich High School in Norristown in 1960.
Nailon was an Air Force veteran.
He was also a member of St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church in Boyertown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Judy A. Richardson of Gilbertsville.
He was predeceased by a brother, Michael J. Nailon.

Contributions may be made to the church’s building fund at St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church, 200 Indian Spring Road, Boyertown, PA 19512.
Burial was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Norristown.
The arrangements were handled by the Catagnus Funeral Home, Boyertown.

JOEL W. LAYMAN
Services were held for Joel W. Layman, 76, of Greshville Road, Douglass (Berks), husband of Alice V. (Renninger) Layman, who died December 14 in ManorCare in Pottstown.
Born in Elverson, he was a production worker for Mrs. Smith’s Pies, formerly in Pottstown, for 30 years, retiring in 1989.
He previously worked for the former Boyertown Body Works.
Layman was a member of the Colebrookdale Chapel in Boyertown.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann Layman of Boyertown and Mary Ann Layman of Kennett Square.
Contributions may be made to the Colebrookdale Chapel, 2108 Farmington Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512.
Burial was in New Hanover Lutheran Church Cemetery .
The arrangements were handled by the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Boyertown.

FLORENCE KULP
Services were held for Florence E. (Weller) Kulp, 74, of Little Road in New Hanover, wife of Raymond K. Kulp, who died December 13 in Lancaster Regional Medical Center in Lancaster.
Born in North Coventry, she was a sewing machine operator for the former H&R Manufacturing Co. in Boyertown for 26 years.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 26 years are a son, Kenneth R. Kulp of Gilbertsville; four daughters, Linda D. Miller of Boyertown, Patricia M. Frey of Gilbertsville, Brenda K. Fox of Liverpool, N.Y., and Roxanne “Cookie” L. Sorg of Myerstown, Lebanon County.
Also a sister, Caroline “Betty” Moyer of Stowe; four brothers, Donald Weller of Englesville, Harry “Hap” Weller of Bechtelsville, Clem Weller of Allentown and David Weller of Hereford; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Contributions may be made to the Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 5179, Lancaster, PA 17606-5179.
Burial was in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Exeter.
The Morrell Funeral Home, Boyertown, handled the arrangements.

VIRGINIA W. ROHRBACH
Funeral services were held for Virginia W. (Stauffer) Rohrbach, 83, of West Philadelphia Avenue in Oley, who died December 14 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was the widow of Jacob S. Rohrbach.
Born in Gilbertsville, she retired in 1978 after working for 15 years at the Great American Knitting Mill in Bally.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Hill Lutheran Church in Pike Township, the Bechtelsville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, the Orioles in Boyertown and the Pike Township Sportsman’s Association.
She is survived by a brother, Merrill W. Stauffer of New Berlinville.
Burial was in Hill Church Cemetery , Pike Township.
The Christ & Catagnus Funeral Home, Oley, handled the arrangements.
