Services for Roy Douglas Swann, 50, of 8 Beechwood Drive, Dillsburg, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle.
He died Monday, July 7, 1997 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township.
Born Nov. 21, 1946 in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a son of Violet Anne Cassidy Swann of Hamburg, N.Y. and the late Roy George Swann.
Mr. Swann was employed as a custodian in the Northern York School District. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Dillsburg, and was active in the Dillsburg Youth Baseball Association.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Song Sun Yi Swann; five daughters, Kimberlee Anne Coriglano of Denver, Colo., Marybeth L. Swann of Harrisburg, Rebecca L. Stamy of Boiling Springs, Erin K. Swann of Dillsburg and Susan M. Swann of Dillsburg; a son, Roy G. of Dillsburg; and a granddaughter.
The Rev. Philip H. Sturr Jr. will officiate at Friday's service. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Township.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Amos Bruce Orner Sr., 80. of 3015 Leola Ave., Pittsburgh and 180 Quaker valley Road, Biglerville, died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at Gettysburg Hospital.
Born May 1, 1917, in Arendtsville, he was a son of the late David H. and Mary J. Funt Orner.
Mr. Orner was a former supervisor for Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and a 32nd degree Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Olive E. Barbour Orner; a son, Amos B. Orner Jr. of Pittsburgh; a brother, Ronald E. of Arendtsville; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Jayne K. Cochrane.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 25 Franklin St., Biglerville with the Rev. Joel L. Zeiders officiating. Burial will be in the Greenmount Cemetery, Arendtsville.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main St., Bendersville and also at the church on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children-Philadelphia Unit, 8400 Roosevelt Boulevard, Philadelphia 19152.

Services for Murray Johnson Peele, 65, of 104 Willow View Drive, Carlisle, will be held in Columbia, S.C.
He died Wednesday, July 9, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born May 18, 1932 in Lexington, S.C., he was the son of the late James B. Sr. and Lila Mae Roof Peele and the widower of Aiko Yamamoto Peele.
Mr. Peele, a graduate of Columbia Junior College, was a retired staff sergeant in the U.S. Army and a Vietnam veteran.
He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Bethel United Methodist Church, all of Columbia, S.C.
Surviving are a son, Michael A. of Alexandria, Va.; a daughter, Martha A. Fecteau of Carlisle; a brother, James B. Jr. of Lexington, S.C.; a sister, Margaret E. Lowe of Frederick, Md.; and a granddaughter.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Columbia, S.C.
Local arrangements are being handled by Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle.

Dorothy E. Winters, 92, of Franklin County Nursing Home and formerly of Shippensburg and Greencastle, died Thursday, July 10, 1997 in the nursing home.
Born Sept. 8, 1914 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late Dennie and Martha Gipe Van Scyoc and the widow of Clyde W. Winters, who died April 21, 1987.
Mrs. Winters was retired from a dress factory in Waynesboro. She attended Shippensburg First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are a sister, Martha J. Davis of Shippensburg, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., 112 W. King St., Shippensburg with the Rev. Arnold V. Segesman officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.

Rose E. Weber, 84, of 1109 Apple Dr., Mechanicsburg, died Friday, July 11, 1997 in Harrisburg Hospital.
Born July 20, 1912, in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Arena D'Amico. She was the widow of Louis C. Weber.
A retired manager for Penn Motel in Mechanicsburg, Mrs. Weber was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are one son, Joseph C. of Carlisle; one brother, Anthony D'Amico of Mechanicsburg; three sisters, Joan Keating of Mechanicsburg and Rita Huth and Celia Mahone, both of Florida; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 E. Simpson Ferry Road, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Daniel Powell officiating. Burial will be in Meyersdale Catholic Cemetery, Somerset County.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, with the Rosary recited at 8:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101.

Services for Robert J. "Bob" Chestnut, 80, of 9386 Sporting Hill Road, Orrstown, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg.
He died Thursday, July 10, 1997 in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Oct. 17, 1916 in North Newton Township, he was a son of the late William B. and Rena Barrick Chestnut. He was the widower of Esther E. Hockenberry Bechtel Chestnut, who died Oct. 30, 1988.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Chestnut was retired from Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot and the former ITT Domestic Pump Co. of Shippensburg.
He attended First Wesleyan Church of Shippensburg.
Surviving are his sister, Anna E. Weaver of Orrstown; three stepsons, Dennis H. Bechtel of Orrstown and Harold L. and Daryl D. Bechtel, both of Shippensburg; two stepdaughters, Barbara A. Bryan and Evelyn M. Gutshall, both of Shippensburg; a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and a companion, Marcella R. Williamson of Shippensburg.
The Rev. David J. Anderson will officiate at Monday's service.
Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Township.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

William H. Smith, 67, of 1521 Kathryn St., New Cumberland, died Friday, July 11, 1997 at home.
Born March 22, 1930 in Girrardville, he was a son of the late Harry and Frieda Cancerious Smith.
He was the widower of Dorothy L. Beaver Smith.
An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Smith was a retired sales manager for Swift and Co. and Dutch Master Meats. He also retired from the Air National Guard.
He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of New Cumberland; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7530 of Lower Allen Township; New Cumberland Lions Club; Steelton Moose Lodge; New Cumberland American Legion Post 143, where he served as past commander, steward and was involved with the 40&8; and president and service officer of the Home Association.
Surviving are his wife, Mary A. Hayes Smith; one son, Randall W. of New Cumberland; three daughters, Cynthia L. Penton of Mobile, Ala., Michele M. of Los Angeles, Calif., and Lisa A. Spong of Camp Hill; a sister, Ruth Fite of New Cumberland; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Evangelical Church, 524 Bridge St., New Cumberland, with the Rev. Richard G. Lorenz officiating.
Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Township.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland, where an American Legion service will be held at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Services for Arnetta I. Paxton, 81, of York County Nursing Home, formerly of Wellsville, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Cocklin Funeral Home, 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg.
She died Thursday, July 10, 1997 in York Memorial Hospital.
Born March 22, 1916 in Warrington Township, York County, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Margaret Kimmel Harlacker.
She was the widow of Claude Elmer Paxton.
A former cook for Bakers Restaurant in Dillsburg, Mrs. Paxton was a member of Wellsville Fire Co. Ladies' Auxiliary.
Surviving are one son, Francis C. of York Haven; one daughter, Charmaine I. Zinn of Wellsville; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Bernard Crone will officiate at Monday's service.
Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens, Dover.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
