Rosie Rebecca Cunningham, 88, a resident of Reeders Memorial Home, Boonsboro, Md., died Monday, July 7, 1997 at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Md.
Born Jan. 21, 1909 in Pondsville, Md., she was a daughter of the late John William and Anna Mae Swope Webb and the widow of Robert Edward Cunningham, who died in 1978.
Mrs. Cunningham, a homemaker, was a former member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Rohersville, Md. and currently a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church in Williamsport, Md.
Surviving are two daughters, Loleta M. Potter of Boonsboro and Shirley Y. Moser of Hagerstown; two sons, William F. of Carlisle and Roger L. of Hutchinson, Kan.; two brothers, Joseph W. Webb and John W. Webb Jr., both of Hagerstown; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Ann Cunningham; three infant children; two sisters, Leona Keadle and Betty Dandelske; and three brothers, Wesley Webb, Merrick Webb and Charles Webb.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, with the Rev. James Swecker, the Rev. Carolyn Boyce and Debra Roberson officiating. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Services for Oliver "Ollie" Gitt, 89, of Walnut Street, Mt. Holly Springs, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle.
He died Monday, July 7, 1997 in his home.
Born May 14, 1908 in Dickinson Township, he was a son of the late Louis and Julia Danner Gitt and resided most of his life in Mt. Holly Springs.
Mr. Gitt was a retired employee of Kimberly-Clark, Mt. Holly Springs, where he was employed as a shipping clerk. He was also formerly employed at Frog, Switch and Manufacturing Co., Carlisle.
A member of the Methodist faith, he was also a railroad buff and a member of several railroad clubs.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Bradley C. Knepp will officiate Friday's service. Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Services for Mary L. Kollas, 88, of 156 Belvedere St., Carlisle, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Harrisburg, 1000 Yverdon Drive, Camp Hill.
She died Monday, July 7, 1997 in Carlisle Hospital.
Born July 7, 1909 in Neohorion, Greece, she was a daughter of the late Athanasios and Katherine Fourlas Lois and the widow of Charles Kollas, who died in 1979.
Mrs. Kollas was the former co-owner of the Hamilton Restaurant in Carlisle with her late husband. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Harrisburg, Camp Hill.
Surviving are two daughters, Clara Kanganis of Camp Hill and Helen Kollas of New York City; a son, William of Lemoyne; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Anthony Demetri will officiate at Thursday's service. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. A Trisagion service will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to her church.

Joseph R. Kowitski, 68, of Susquehanna Township, died Tuesday, July 8, 1997 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Lower Paxton Township.
Born Nov. 19, 1928 in Centralia, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Elizabeth McGinley Kowitski.
Mr. Kowitski was retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. He also was retired from the law practice of Dale E. Anstine of York.
A graduate of Mt. St. Mary's College, Emmittsburg, Md. and Dickinson School of Law, Carlisle, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Penbrook.
He was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, the Verhovay Club, Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees, the state Bar Association and the Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Maclay Kowitski; two daughters, Ann K. Barber of Windham, N.H. and Dr. Carol K. Robinson of Carlisle; two brothers, Eugene of Bridgewater Township, N.J. and Robert of Washington Township, N.J.; and three grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday in his church with the Rev. Michael Laicha as celebrant. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Neill Funeral Home, Paxtang.
Memorial contributions can be made to his church, 2848 Herr St., Harrisburg 17103.

Private services for Marie L. Bader, 82, of 109 Garland Drive, Carlisle, will be held at the convenience of the family.
She died Monday, July 7, 1997 in Forest Park Health Center.
Born Dec. 24, 1914 in St. Clair, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna McNeal Breslin.
A housewife, Mrs. Bader served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Carlisle.
Surviving are her husband, Earl Bader; a son, Martin of Washington; two daughters, Ann Simpson of Illinois and Mary Louise Krapf of Delaware; and four grandchildren.
Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery. The Cremation Ceremony of Pennsylvania is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, School Scholarship Fund, Pomfret Street, Carlisle 17013.

Services for Barbara Thompson Brown, 41, of Newville, will be held at the convenience of the family.
She died Tuesday, July 8, 1997 in her home.
Born Aug. 20, 1955 in Las Cruces, N.M., she was a daughter of the late Arthur William and Martha Genieva Ives Thompson.
A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, Ms. Brown was a retired state trooper for the Pennsylvania State Police.
She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Trooper Association, Fraternal Order of Police, The Plum Run Hunt and was a member of the Episcopalian faith.
Surviving are her fiance, Dean B. Shipe of Newville; a son, Kyle A. Brown of Altoona; a sister, Marti T. Adkins of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Warren T. Thompson of Richland, Wash.; a stepbrother, Trent D. Thompson of Alabama; two nephews and one niece.
Egger Funeral Home, Newville, is handling arrangements.

Vera S. Oberholtzer, 39, of 99 Koser Lane, Shippensburg, died Wednesday, July 9, 1997 in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Oct. 19, 1957 in Lancaster, she was a daughter of Norman H. and Katie S. Snyder Weaver of Leola.
Mrs. Oberholtzer was a member of Shippensburg Old Order Mennonite Church.
In addition to her parents, surviving are her husband, Elvin R. Oberholtzer; a son, Lamar W., at home; six daughters, Louise W., Wilma W., Marlene W., Joann W., Mary Jane W. and Karen W., all at home; a brother, Clarence S. Weaver of Martinsburg, W.Va.; four sisters, Edna S. Martin of Lewisburg, Ruth S. Reiff of Mifflinburg, Ellen S. Zimmerman and Irene S. Oberholtzer, both of Leola; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet W. Oberholtzer, who died May 22, 1995.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Shippensburg Old Order Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Oberholtzer residence. For religious reasons, the family requests the omission of flowers.
Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg, is handling arrangements.

Services for L. Watson Sadler, 81, of 277 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John's Episcopal Church on the Square in Carlisle.
He died Tuesday, July 8, 1997 at Carlisle Hospital.
Born Nov. 1, 1915 in Adams County, he was a son of the late Isaac and Laura B. Myers Sadler.
Mr. Sadler was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who participated in the Battle of the Bulge and the invasion of Normandy. He graduated from Biglerville High School and attended Lycoming College.
He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Carlisle, Hebron Lodge F&AM, New Oxford and the Harrisburg Consistory.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Jane Buehler Sadler; two sons, David W. of Warwick, N.Y. and James R. of Carlisle; a daughter, Charlotte B. of Wildwood Crest, N.J.; a sister, Virginia Baldwin of Carlisle; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaretta Wilson.
The Rev. Dr. Mark A. Scheneman and the Rev. Marcia C. Wilkinson will officiate at Friday's service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle.
