Leora M. Keagy Kooser, 83, a lifelong resident of Scottdale, Pa., who graduated from Scottdale High School in 1935, died Saturday morning, October 7, 2000, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant.
She is survived by her caring family of nieces: Louise Browne of Connellsville, Pa., and Marjorie Polymenakos of Upper Darby, Pa.; nephews: Paul Keagy of Philadelphia, Pa., James Keagy and Dick Keagy both of Girard, Ohio; sisters-in-law: LaVerne Stoner of Scottdale and Louise Riggin of Connellsville; several other relatives, cousins and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, Pa., on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Additional viewing will be held Tuesday, October 10, in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Chaintown Road, Scottdale, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Betty Yasko Krempasky
Betty Yasko Krempasky, 72, a lifelong resident of Jacobs Creek, Smithton R.D., Pa., retired cook from the Yough School District, died Thursday, October 5, 2000, in Jefferson Hills Manor, Jefferson, Pa.
She is survived by two sons: Jerome Krempasky of Greenwood, Wisconsin, and Jeffrey Krempasky of Smithton R.D., Pa.; six grandchildren; brothers: George Yasko Jr. of Scottdale, Pa., and David Yasko of Sewickley, Pa.; and a sister, Helen Yasko Litvin of Perryopolis, Pa.
Friends will be received at the L. L. Barthels Funeral Home Inc., Second St., Smithton, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Monday, October 9, at St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church, Smithton, at 10 a.m.

Daisy Overly Kuhn
Daisy P. Overly Kuhn, 84, of Mount Pleasant who was born in Mount Pleasant Township, Pa., died Thursday, October 5, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital.
She is survived by two sisters: Minnie Belle Overly Prinkey and Dolores Overly Smitley and her husband, Eugene Smitley, and a brother, Howard Overly and his wife, Lorraine, all of Mount Pleasant; a sister-in-law, Grace Overly of Hilliards, Pa.; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 11 a.m.

Emily Keppen Leonard
Emily Keppen Leonard, 82, of Richeyville, Pa., died Friday, October 6, 2000, at 1 a.m. in Lozosky Personal Care Home, Clarksville, Pa.
She was born January 24, 1918, in Smithfield, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Antonio Keppen and Caroline Polci Keppen.
She operated Emily’s Beauty Shop in Richeyville for many years.
Her husband, William Leonard, died December 13, 1981. Also deceased are two brothers, Jess Capanna and Alfonso Keppen, seven sisters, Ann Nesto, Clara Petti, Inez Duffield, Beatrice Ciervo, Della Caputo, Mary Lechner and Caroline Demaske, and her parents.
She is survived by one brother, Vincent Capanna of Fairchance, Pa.; one sister, Nancy Sutton of Uniontown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street, Route 40, Beallsville, Pa., on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, October 9, at 7 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Francis Jurewicz officiating.
Private interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
Contributions to St. Agnes Church Building Fund, Richeyville, PA 15358.

Louella S. Liberatore
Louella Staye Liberatore, 82, formerly of Low Hill, Brownsville, Pa., died Thursday, October 5, 2000, at 4:45 p.m. in Canonsburg General Hospital, Canonsburg, Pa.
She was born January 28, 1918, in Millsboro, Pa., daughter of Peter Staye and Angeline Minari Staye.
She was a member of The Parish of St. Oliver Plunkett in Fredericktown and a former member The Confraternity of Christian Mothers and also The Ladies Guild.
She was a graduate of the former East Bethlehem Township High School. She retired from California University of Pennsylvania in 1993. She was formerly employed in The Pittsburgh Mercantile Company located in the Denbo Store.
She was also formerly employed in the Washington County Tax Claim Office.
She had been a Secretary for many years for former State Senator William J. Lane.
Her husband, Anthony E. Liberatore, died June 22, 1990, and their son, Jerome A. Liberatore, died March 12, 1944. Her parents are also deceased.
She is survived by two sons: Warren E. Liberatore of Canonsburg, Pa., and Anthony Allen Liberatore of Cecil, Pa.; three grandchildren: Brent J. Liberatore of Washington, Pa., Gerald L. Liberatore of Cecil, and Amy L. Swartz of Washington, Pa.; one great-granddaughter, Jacqueline Liberatore; one brother, Elmer Staye of Chaplin, Connecticut; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 42 Bank Street, Fredericktown Hill, Fredericktown, Pa., today from Noon to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held Monday, October 9, at 10 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10:30 a.m. in The Parish of St. Oliver Plunkett, St. Michael Archangel Church, Fredericktown, with Rev. Fr. Edward S. Litavec as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery, West Pike Run Township, Washington County, Pa.
The family suggests memorials be made to The Parish of St. Oliver Plunkett or the Activities Committee of McMurray Hill Manor, 249 West McMurray Road, McMurray, PA 15317.
Parish Vigil will be held in the Funeral Home today at 8 p.m.

Robin Miltz Mitchner
Robin Miltz Mitchner, 39, formerly of Bentleyville, Pa, died Friday, October 6, 2000, in Brownsville General Hospital.
She is survived by one son, Bruce Christopher Thomas of Ellsworth, Pa.; sisters: Patricia Miltz Wheeler of Claysville, Pa., Donna Miltz Kooser of Mill Run, Pa., Nancy Miltz Canino of McMurray, Pa., Deborah Miltz Ginther of Bentleyville, Pa.; a brother, Douglas Miltz of New Orleans, La.; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main St., Bentleyville, Pa., today from 2 to 7 p.m.

Ann Taylor Nelson
Ann Taylor Nelson, 59, of Denver, Colorado, died Wednesday, October 4, 2000, in Denver.
She was born November 29, 1940, in Brownsville, Pa.
Ann, a color artist, was founder and proprietor of ATN Designs, needlework designer/water.
She was past President of Park Hill Art Club.
She previously lived in Hudson, Ohio, and moved to Denver in 1991.
On December 28, 1963, in Brownsville, Pa., she marriage Dennis S. Nelson, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Amy Nelson of Los Angeles, California; a son, Jeffrey Nelson of Portland, Oregon; and a brother, Samuel Taylor of Brownsville, Pa.
Services were held Saturday, October 7, at 2:30 p.m. in Park Hill United Methodist Church, 5209 Montview Boulevard, Denver, Colorado.
Arrangements were under direction of ALL-STATES CREMATION SERVICES INC. with interment in All Mortuary & Crematory, Lakewood, Colorado.

Charles L. Palladino
Charles L. Palladino, 68, of Connellsville, Pa., died Saturday, October 7, 2000, at Uniontown Hospital.
He was born January 27, 1932, in Connellsville, Pa., son of Frank Palladino Sr. and Katherine Piasecke Palladino.
Prior to his retirement Charles worked as a Moldmaker for Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation in South Connellsville.
He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict who served with the United States Marine Corps.
He was a member of St. Rita’s Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville, The Holy Name Society, The Knights of Columbus Council 1127 in Scottdale, and The Independent Slovak Citizens Club.
A son, Paul Michael Palladino, two brothers, Frank Palladino Jr. and Paul A. Palladino, and his parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sons: Charles L. Palladino Jr. of Connellsville and Michael Frank Palladino and his wife, Debra, of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Ms. Lynne Ann Palladino of Uniontown, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Joey, Brandon, Danielle, Greg, Michael, Courtney and Ryan Palladino; two sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Shevetz of Struthers, Ohio, and Ms. Anna Mary Palladino of Springfield, Virginia.
Friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held Wednesday, October 11, at 9:30 a.m.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, with Rev. Fr. John Butler as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Rita’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Connellsville, where Full Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 301, American Legion Post 762, and V.F.W. Post 21.
Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
