Dorothy C. McKelvey,86, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Ruffsdale died Saturday March 27, 2004 in UPMC Southside Hospital. She was born January 27, 1918 in Pittsburgh a daughter of the late George and Caroline Eulert Klein. Mrs. McKelvey was a member of the Christ Reformed Church in Ruffsdale and was a former, active member of the Mount Pleasant Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Charles V. McKelvey in 1991; two brothers, Howard and Raymond Klein and one sister, Elsie Davis. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Welsh and her husband James of West Newton, Janet Stacy and her husband Robert and Sandra Donovan, all of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one sister, Alma Howard of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received from 2-4,7-9 P.M. Tuesday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dennis Kletzing officiating. Interment will follow in the West Newton Cemetery. Dorothy M. Webber, 86, of Delmont, formerly of Scottdale and Curtis, Michigan, died Monday March 31, 2003 in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was born November 23, 1916 in Connellsville a daughter of the late John and Margaret Wilson Mortimore. Mrs. Webber was a graduate of Connellsville High School and she was a member of the Scottdale Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, George Webber.; two sisters, LaRue Queer and Jeanne Keefer and four brothers, Harold, Jay, Art and Charles Mortimore. She is survived by her daughter Cathy Strang and her husband Thomas of Mount Pleasant R.D. #6; one stepson, Sherwood Webber and his wife Carolyn of Westland, MI; two grandchildren, T.J. and Jackie; four step grandchildren, Patty,Kisa, Doug and Curt and two brothers, Wayne Mortimer and his wife Betty of Latrobe and Don Mortimore and his wife Myrt of San Antonio, Texas. There will be no public viewing or visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. in the Scottdale Church of Christ with Pastor Robert Chambers officiating. E. Lee Molowski, Sr., 88, of Mount Pleasant ( Bullskin Twp.) died Tuesday February 3, 2004 in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. He was born February 8, 1915 in Lowber a son of the late Benjamin and Louise Stashak Molowski. Mr. Molowski was a self employed farmer for most of his life. He was an honorary member of the Mount Pleasant Firemen’s Club and a member of the Bridgeport Sportsmen Club. He was also a member of the Visitation Roman Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Anna Varholla Molowski in 1997; his son, E. Lee Molowski, Jr. in 2003 and three brothers, Stanley, James Molowski and a brother who died as a child. He is survived by two daughters, Joan Schick and her husband Edward of Oil City and Betty Sapola and her husband James of Mount Pleasant, a foster daughter, Kathee Sonner of Barre, Mass; one daughter-in-law, Carole Molowski of Medford, N.J; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one sister, Caroline Morgan of Export. Friends will be received from 7-9 P.M. Thursday and 2-4, 6-9 P.M. Friday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant where a Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 10:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Visitation R.C. Church, Mount Pleasant with Rev. Ella Louise Walk Soisson, 92, of 411 North Ave., Connellsville died Wednesday January 14, 2004 at her residence. She was born December 7, 1911 in Poplar Grove the daughter of the late August and Caroline Meirs Walk. She resided at 1309 Sun St. in Poplar Grove for many years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a former secretary of the Ladies Aid. She graduated from Connellsville High School, Class of 1930. On June 2, 1934 she married William Russell "Buss" Soisson of South Connellsville. Mr. Soisson died on December 4, 1977. She is survived by one Daughter, Joyce Soisson DuShaw and her husband James of Derrick City, Pa.; one step daughter, Movita Ware of Mobile, Ala.; one stepson, William R. "Bud" Soisson and his wife Kay of Youngstown, Ohio; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, six step grandchildren,14 step great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a grandson, James Allen DuShaw on December 15, 2003; two brothers, William "Bill" Walk and Harold "Sonny" Walk; and five sisters, Emma Walk MacQuaide, Ida Walk, Mary Walk Miles, Augusta Walk Morrow and Mollie Walk Beeman. The family will receive friends in St. John's Lutheran Church, Connellsville on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., the hour of services in the church with Rev. Philip Ramstad officiating. Private interment will be in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested the St. John's Lutheran Church, Connellsville in memory of Ella L. Walk Soisson.

Mr. Misiewicz was retired from the U.S. Steel Irvin Works. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks #868, Polish Falcons, Slovak Club and Kosciuszko Club, all of Mount Pleasant; social member of the Mount Pleasant VFW and American Legion,member of the Hecla Sportsmen Club and a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one sister, Dorothy Brown and one half sister, Jean Koval. He is survived by his wife Anna Poklembo Misiewicz; one brother, Richard "Jeep" Misiewicz and his wife Josephine of Mount Pleasant and one half brother, Joseph "Fuzzy" Kurpiel of Mount Pleasant. Evelyn G. Zimmerman, 90, of Indiana, Pa. formerly of Connellsville died Friday July 9, 2004 in Union Hospital, Lynn, Mass. She was born March 26, 1914 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Carl and Mayme Camp Murphy. Mrs. Zimmerman was a resident of Indiana since 1996. She was a graduate of Connellsville High School, Class of 1932. She was employed for many years as a bank teller at the former Gallatin Bank and later National City Bank and the Second National Bank of Connellsville. She was a volunteer during W.W. II at the Connellsville Canteen which served the troops as they arrived and departed from Connellsville. She was a member of the ladies Gradel and she was a former member of the Breakneck Church of God and the former Reformed Presbyterian Church, both of Connellsville and she was currently attending the Graystone Presbyterian Church, Indiana. She is survived by two daughters, Sherron King-Ely of Lynn, Mass. and Connie Scanga and her husband Michael of Indiana, Pa.; four grandchildren, Roi Doherty and her husband Kevin, and Joel, Jonas and Jesse Scanga and two great grandchildren, John Patrick and Christopher Doherty. Mrs. Zimmerman was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Ellis Zimmerman in 1999; two brothers, Robert and Charles Eugene Murphy and one sister, Mabel Zollars. She was born August 14, 1921 in Jones Mills a daughter of the late William and Sarah Miller Nedrow. Mrs. Mathews was a member of the County Line Church of the Brethren and its Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Chestnut Ridge Lioness Club, the Chestnut Ridge Historical Society and the Donegal Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Walter G. Mathews in 1996; one sister, Ethel Nedrow; two brothers, William Nedrow and his wife Louella and George Nedrow. She is survived by two children, Sara Susannah Raney of San Jose, Calif. and James Mathews and his wife Ann of Jones Mills; three grandchildren, Kenley Raney, Ryan and Jamie Mathews; one sister, Olive Nedrow of Jones Mills and one sister-in-law, Gayle Nedrow of Donegal. Mrs Ebbert was a former Licensed Practical Nurse having worked for Dr. Byron in Connellsville for many years. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star #247 of Connellsville. She was also a member of the Priscilla Sewing Circle and a long time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Connellsville and the Daughters of Ruth. She is survived by three sons, John D. Ebbert and his wife Ruth of Dallas, Tex, James H. Ebbert and his wife Sally of Connellsville and Thomas G. Ebbert of Estes Park, Colo.; eight grandchildren, James Ebbert and his wife Jody, David Ebbert, Sharon Tlumack and her husband John and Robert Ebbert, all of Connellsville, Kathy Carpenter and her husband Mike and Karen Ebbert, all of Kansas City, MO., Kurt Ebbert and his wife Mary of the state of Maryland and Brian Ebbert and his wife Mary of the state of Arizona; five great grandchildren. Frank J."Grogan" Kowaleski, 85 of Mt.Pleasant, died Sun. June 22,2003 in the Southwestern Veteran's Center,Pittsburgh.
He was born Sept. 15,1917, in Mt.Pleasant a son of the late Louis and Sophia Olszewska Kowaleski.Prior to his retirement he worked as a Cashier for the A&P Store in Mt.Pleasant for more than 40 years.
Frank was a Veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Army. He was a First Lieutenant with the Summary Courtsmarshall Office MP Company in Italy. He was a member of the Mt.Pleasant VFW and the Polish Falcons. Frank was a member of St.Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Mt.Pleasant and had also been a member of the Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church where he served as an usher.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Claire Meisner Kowaleski, a son Francis "Jamey" Kowaleski and his wife Nancy of Williamsburg, VA. 3 grandchildren Christopher Kowaleski and his wife Maria of Charlottesville VA., Allison Martinez and her husband Graham of Glouchester Point VA., and Jamie Kowaleski of Williamsburg VA.,6 great grandchildren, Christopher,Ethan,Benjamin,and William Kowaleski and Madeline and Matthew Martinez,and a brother Walter Kowaleski of Clearfield.In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 5 brothers Stanley,Anthony,John,Lewis,and Eugene Kowaleski, and 6 sisters Bridget Tylka,Mary Garsteck,Minnie Passoff, Viola Shall, Clara, and Ester.

Genevieve Witt, 91 of Donegal, formerly of Indian Head, died Thur. July 29, 2004 in the Hilltop Manor Nursing Home, Donegal.
She was born May 24,1913 in Jones Mills a daughter of the late William and Lucinda Bitner Keller.
Genevieve had been a resident of Donegal for the last 5 years. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed sewing. She attended the Millertown Community Church.
Genevieve is survived by her loving son Elvin Witt and his wife Wilma of Donegal, her grandchildren Donald Witt and his wife Eileen of Champion and Joyce Witt and her friend Earl of Hollidaysburg, and her great grandson Ryan Witt of Champion, and her sister June Weyant of Normalville.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Henry Witt, 4 sisters May Kalp, Beulah Pritts, Erma Friedline, and Luetta Montique, and 2 brothers Wilford and Russell Keller.
Family and friends will be received in the CLYDE BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC. George C. Pratt, 90, of Connellsville died Tuesday July 6, 2004 at his home. He was born July 31, 1913 in Vanderbilt a son of the late John S. and Pearl E. Bryson Pratt. Mr. Pratt was a retired engineer having been employed by the B&O Railroad for 34 years. He was a lifetime member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers # 370. He was a life member of King Solomon's Lodge #346 F&AM, Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, Valley Consistory of Pittsburgh, Royal Arch Chapter #283 and the Syria Shrine. He was a member of the former YMCA Board of Directors where he served as secretary and vice-president and also served on the Camp Christian Board of Directors. George loved to travel and he was an avid collector of railroad memorabilia, most notably Railroad Steam Engines. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Helen C. Keith Ferguson of Chillicothe, Ill. and Frances Pope and her husband Daniel of Issaquah, Washington; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Pratt and his wife Ethel of Meadville, Pa. and two sisters, Catherine Russell of Conneautville, Pa. and Lillian Crider of Pawnee, Illinois. Friends will be received from 2-4,7-9 P.M. Thursday and Friday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held Saturday at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. John Barchey and Rev. Rich Schimansky officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. King Solomon's Lodge #346 F&AM will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 P.M. George G. Ondik, 91, a resident of Harmon House in Mt.Pleasant, died Saturday, July 5, 2003 in Aspinwall VA Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born March 3,1912 in Adelaide, a son of the late Michael and Mary Vakajsa Ondik.
George had been a resident of Mt.Pleasant since 1950.Prior to his retirement he was the Meat Department Manager and Meat Cutter for the A&P and Loblaw Super Markets. He was a Veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Navy and he was a member of the Mt.Pleasant VFW. George was a member of Visitation Roman Catholic Church in Mt.Pleasant and had been a member of the former Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his wife Anastasia Shimshok Ondik on Dec. 16,1996, a brother John Ondik, and 2 sisters Irene Costel and Ann Hudock.
He is survived by a brother Albert S. Ondik and his wife Annabelle of Connellsville, and numerous nieces and nephews including Ronald Ondik and his wife Beverly of Connellsville, Christine Walsh and her husband James of Roswell GA., Eugene Costel and his wife Agnes and Marcella Jaskowski and her husband Charles all of West Mifflin, and Patricia Berndt and her husband Terry of Monroeville.
Family and friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mt.Pleasant Mon. from 7-9 PM and Tue. from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Blessing Service will be held Wed. at 9:30 AM, in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, in Visitation R.C. Church, Mt.Pleasant, with Rev. Michael Matusak, as celebrant.A committal service and interment will follow in the St. John the Evangelist R.C. Cemetery Connellsville.Military rites will be conducted at the Cemetery by the Mt.Pleasant VFW. A parish wake service will be held Tue. at 3:00 PM in the funeral home.

George S. Horvath, 90, of Dawson, formerly of Smithton died Tuesday March 16, 2004 at his residence. He was born March 18, 1913 in Smithton a son of the late Michael and Barbara Balazs Horvath. George was a former coal miner, having been employed by Republic Steel and he retired from Allied Mills. He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Hattie M. Sanner Horvath and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by four brothers, Joseph, John, Alex and Michael Horvath and five sisters, Elizabeth, Catherine, Bessie, Rose and Helen. Friends will be received form 2-9 P.M. Wednesday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. D. Gladys L. (Stull) Brown, 79, of Uniontown formerly of Connellsville, died, Monday, January 19, 2004 in the Uniontown Dialysis Center.
She was born October 24, 1924 in Connellsville (Moyer) a daughter of the late James Stull and Edna Burnworth Ellenberger. Gladys was employed by Anchor Hocking Corp., Connellsville prior to moving to Alexandria, VA., where she worked as a cashier at the Dixie Pig Restaurant. Following her retirement she returned to Pennsylvania where she resided the last several years. Gladys was a member of the Great Bethel Baptist Church of Uniontown and was an avid bingo player. She is survived by three daughters, Judy Piatti and husband Victor of Uniontown; Billie Corley and husband David of Alexandria, VA; and Bobbie Hewitt of Woodbridge, VA; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bertha McClintock and husband Robert and Dora Karfelt both of Connellsville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Comek and Betty Welsh and a brother James Stull.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at THE BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 111 E. Green St., Connellsville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Michael E. Hall officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Mr. Basinger was a bulldozer operator, belonging to the Unite Mine Workers and working for Bologna Coal Co. for many years. He was also self employed with Basinger Trucking. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one son, Glenn Leslie Basinger in 1989; one brother, Dale Basinger and one sister, Goldie Kern.
