Richard was also expecting a child in May and is survived by the baby’s mother, Cathleen Mottern of Muncy.

He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Richard Bower, who died January 12, 1988.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, at New Life Church, 1006 Village Road, Pennsdale, followed by a time of fellowship, sharing and refreshments. Officiating will be Pastor Rob McKenzie of Bible Baptist Church of Huntersville.
