Edward J. Druckemiller
YEAGERTOWN - Edward J. Druckemiller, 30, of 213 N. Mann Ave. Extd., Yeagertown, died at 5:11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born June 18, 1970, in Lewistown, he was a son of Blair R. Rose Sr. of Lewistown and Janice A. (Orth) Straub of Lawler Place, Lewistown. He was an adopted son of Eileen C. Druckemiller of McVeytown and the late Donald C. Druckemiller. His companion and fiance, Angela J. Baxter of 213 N. Mann Ave., Extd., Yeagertown, survives. Also surviving are: children, Tora L. Druckemiller and David D. Druckemiller, both at home; brothers and sisters, Blair R. Rose Jr., Donald H. Rose and Kevin W. Rose, all of Lewistown, Eileen Peck, Helen Galla and Althea Miller, all of Mount Union, Russel Flasher, Pittsfield and Debra Griffith, McVeytown. He was a carpet installer for James Greenly. He was a member of the Yeagertown Fire Company and the Brooklyn Hose Company, Lewistown. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown. There will be no viewing, however, family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Angela J. Baxter, 213 N. Mann Ave. Extd., Yeagertown, PA 17099.

Larry W. Dukes Jr.
MILROY - Larry W. Dukes Jr., 64, of 6087 US Hwy. 322W, Milroy, died at 1:54 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2001 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. Born April 19, 1936 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Lawrence W. and Bessie (Stuck) Dukes. His wife Jeanette (Leoras) Dukes, whom he married in 1955, survives. Also surviving are: children, Gary L. Dukes, Vira, Michael W. Dukes, Carlisle and Larry W. Dukes III, Omaha, NE; brothers and sisters, Leo Dukes, Frank Dukes and Connie Rhodes, all of Lewistown, Mrs. William (Betty) Marker and Dorothy Shirk, both of Reedsville, Mrs. Bill (Esther) Bitner, Milroy and Mrs. Clair (Caroline) Espigh, McVeytown; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister. He was a produce manager at Giant Foods, Lewistown for 27 years before retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Milroy American Legion, the Yeagertown Fire Company, and a life-member of City Hook and Ladder Fire Company. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Roger R. Reece officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mifflin-Juniata American Cancer Society, 26 N. Brown St., Lewistown, PA 17044. Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.

Jared Michael Dunmire
MCVEYTOWN - Jared Michael Dunmire, infant son of Ralph M. and Tina (Casner) Dunmire Jr. of 305 Kansas Road, McVeytown, died at 1:25 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001, shortly after birth, at Lewistown Hospital. He is also survived by paternal grandmother, Ruth Dunmire of 46 Open Hearth Manor, Lewistown and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Casner, 486 Hoffman Road, McClure. Services will be held at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Douglas Sherlock Jr. officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Brethren, 134 Shaw Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044. Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.

H. Geneva Dunn
LEWISTOWN - H. Geneva Dunn, 85, of Lewistown, died at 12:41 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, at the Lewistown Hospital. Born Sept. 10, 1915, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late Solomon B. and Margaret Anna (Dressler) Dunn. Surviving are: a daughter, Shirley D. McCracken, Hampton, VA; brother and sister, Maxwell V. Dunn, Meadville and O. Gustava Yetter, Reedsville; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, Herman W. Dunn, D. Orville Dunn, Sovorrah H. Dunn, Evelyn Dunn and Margaret E. "Peg" Dunn. She retired from the American Viscose Corporation, Lewistown, where she had served as the elected union representative for many years. She was a member of AVISCO 25 Year Club, Women of the Moose, Chapter 212, a lifetime member of the ladies auxiliary of the Brooklyn Hose Company 3, and the ladies auxiliary of City, Hook and Ladder Fire Company 4, all of Lewistown. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Brown Funeral Home, 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Karl R. Herman officiating. Interment will be in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Catherine E. Earley
MAHANOY CITY - Catherine E. Earley, 87, of 931 W. Centre St., Mahanoy City, died at 11:16 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville. Born Jan. 22, 1914, in Mahanoy City, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Knarr) Downey. Her husband, Martin Earley, preceded her in death. Surviving are: children, Catherine Schultz, Philadelphia, Helen Lodanosky, Lewistown, Margaret Mack, Pottsville, Martina Lorent, New Boston, and Mary Earley, Lansdale; a brother, Charles Downey, Upper Darby; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Vincent Lorent and a brother, Charles Downey. She was a 1932 graduate of Mahanoy City High School and a 1934 graduate of West Chester Normal School. She was a retired teacher, who previously taught at Mahanoy Township and Mahanoy City schools. She was a member of St. Canicus Church, Mahanoy City and the Catholic Daughters of America-Court Kateri 1085. Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the James Haughney Funeral Home, 101 E. Mahanoy St., Mahanoy City, with Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Canicus Church. Interment will be in St. Canicus Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Canicus Church, Mahanoy City, PA 17948.

Earl L. Eaton
EAST WATERFORD - Earl L. Eaton, 68, of East Waterford, died at 11:36 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2001, at the Lewistown Hospital. Born Aug. 3, 1932, in East Waterford, he was the son of the late Samuel and Annabelle (Hampton) Eaton. His wife, Joyce (Clark) Eaton, survives. Also surviving are: a son, Samuel L. Eaton, East Waterford; three sisters, Inez Fry, Mary Lou Lorenz and Dorothy Lehman, all of Thompsontown; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by two brothers, H. Dale Eaton and Clyde Eaton. He served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He retired from the quality control department of Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg in 1987. He also owned and operated the Village Antiques store in East Waterford. He was a member of Union Lodge 324 F&AM, Mifflintown; the Harrisburg Consistory A.A.S.R.; the Lewistown Chapter R.A.M.; the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Juniata Valley Forest 88; the American Legion Post 0230, Dry Run; and was a charter member of the Tuscarora Valley Heritage Days Association. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the South Juniata Baptist Church, Honey Grove, with Pastor Dennis R. Thompson Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the East Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call noon-9 p.m. today at the Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, where the family will be present from 7-9 p.m. Masonic services will be held at 8:45 p.m. The family will provide all flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Tuscarora Grange 774, c/o Eleanor Peterson, secretary, RR1, Honey Grove, PA 17035.

Inez P. Eberts
LEWISTOWN - Inez P. Eberts, 89, a resident of Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, Lewistown, formerly of 820 E. Walnut St., Lewistown, died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at the nursing home. Born Dec. 27, 1911, in Tyrone, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Milton) Gross. Her husband, Donald B. Eberts, died Aug. 8, 1990. She is survived by daughters, Joan Knepp, 520 Harvard St., Lewistown, and Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Mowery, McVeytown; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by one brother and one sister. She was employed by the American Viscose Corporation. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewistown. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating. Private interment will be held in Juniata Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn F. 'Peg' Ebright
TOPTON - Evelyn F. "Peg" Ebright, 82, of the Lutheran Home at Topton, formerly of Swatara Township, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2001, at the home. Born Nov. 10, 1918, in Mt. Ranier, MD, on November 10, 1918, she was the daughter of the late H. Reed and Annie (Brown) Fry. Her husband, Henry A. Ebright, whom she married March 15, 1919, survives. Also surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Norman J. (Peggy A.) Manley of Allentown and a son, Paul A. Ebright of Hummelstown; four grandchildren, Todd B. Manley and Luke A. Manley, both of Allentown, and Brian A. Ebright and Sarah E. Ebright, both of Hummelstown. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Hope A. Manley. She was a 1936 graduate of Mifflintown High School and a graduate of the former Shippensburg Teacher's College. She retired as an elementary school teacher from Central Dauphin School District and was a former teacher for the Juniata County School District. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Harrisburg, and its Altar Guild. She enjoyed traveling and playing golf. Her service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3700 Rutherford St., Harrisburg, with the Rev. Kester T. Sobers III, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Alzheimer's Disease & Related Disorders Association, 2001 North Front Street, Building 2, Suite 321, Harrisburg, PA 17102, or to the Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1541 Alta Drive, Suite 102, Whitehall, PA 18502.
