Jane E. Flickinger
MIFFLINTOWN - Jane E. Flickinger, 74, a resident of Brookline Manor, Mifflintown RR1, formerly of Millerstown, died at 6:48 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2001, at the Lewistown Hospital. Born Sept. 7, 1926, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Sellers C. and Amy (Lukens) Nipple. Her husband, James C. Flickinger Jr., whom she married July 24, 1946, died Aug. 24, 1998. She is survived by a son, Terry R. Flickinger, Millerstown and two grandchildren. She was a 1945 graduate of Millerstown High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a housekeeper for Kinkora Pythian Home in Duncannon, the Nipple Convalescent Home in Liverpool, and as a presser at the Millerstown Dress Factory. She was a member of the Millerstown United Methodist Church; the Women of the Moose, Lodge 925, Millerstown; and the ladies auxiliary of the American Legion, Post 364, Liverpool. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, dancing and playing the piano. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, Sunbury and High Streets, Millerstown, with the Rev. Peter M. Beddia officiating. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown. There will be no viewing. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Alzheimer's Association, South Central PA Chapter, 2001 N. Front St., Building 2, Suite 321, Harrisburg, PA 17102.

Helen Floyd
PHOENIX, AZ - Helen (Haggerty) Floyd, 83, of Phoenix, AZ, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001 at her residence. She was the widow of Norman N. Floyd Sr. Surviving are: children, Blanche Burnham, Phoenix, AZ, Lydia Ann Alicea, Maple Shade, NJ and George E. Floyd, Glen Birne, MD; two sisters and a brother, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker. Her funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Inglesby/Givnish Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St., Maple Shade, NJ. Interment will be private. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or to the American Diabetes Association, Southern Regional Chapter, 1060 N. Kings Hwy., Cherry hill, NJ 08034.

Doran L. Fogleman
PORT ROYAL - Doran L. Fogleman, 56, of Port Royal, formerly of McAlisterville, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001 at his home. Born June 15, 1954 in McAlisterville, he was a son of the late Ethel J. "Jo" (Fogleman) Benner. Surviving are: uncles, Kenneth Fogleman, Mifflintown RR5 and Paul R. Lauver, Mifflintown RR2; step-brothers and step-sisters, Kay Fest, Dillsburg, Connie Wagner, Mifflintown, Larry Benner, Louisville, KY, Judy Hilbish, Summerdale and Curtis Benner, Upper Marlboro, MD; and several nieces and nephews. He attended Free Spring Church of the Brethren, Mifflintown RR2 and Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, Mifflintown RR4. He enjoyed fishing. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville. Interment will be in Goodwill Cemetery, McAlisterville. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to HOSPICE: The Bridge, 1126 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, PA 17044 or to Skills of Central PA, Group Home, RR2 Box 2217, Port Royal, PA 17082.

James E. Folk Jr.
LEWISTOWN - James E. Folk Jr., 75, of 615 S. Main St., Lewistown, died at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at his residence. Born Oct. 28, 1926, in McClure, he was the son of the late James E. Sr. and Maggie (Beaver) Folk. His wife, A. Louise (Musser) Folk, whom he married Sept. 7, 1946, survives. Also surviving are: children, Joan Yeater, Joppa, MD, James E. Folk III, Bellefonte, and Mrs. James (Sherry) Felmlee, 9 Spanogle Ave., Lewistown; brother and sister, Robert Folk, Yorba Linda, CA and Margaret Bubb, McClure; four grandchildren, Jennifer Morocko, James E. Folk IV, Nick and Ryan Felmlee; and two great-grandsons, Jacob and Luke Morocko. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Richard Folk. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was manager of the Susquehanna Motor Company for 21 years, retiring Oct. 29, 1988. Early in life, he was co-owner of F&S Auto Sales for 10 years. He was a member of Grove Memorial United Methodist Church and the Mifflin County Historical Society. He enjoyed woodworking. His service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. William J. Danis officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice: The Bridge, 1126 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, PA 17044 or to Grove Memorial United Methodist Church, 611 S. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

James "Jim" Fredrick Foltz
MIDDLEBURG - James "Jim" Fredrick Foltz, 70, of Middleburg RR3, died at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at his residence. His service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Zion (Arbogast's) Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant Mills RR2, with the Rev. Celo V. Leitzel officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Liverpool American Legion Post 364. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills. Stephen E. 'Skip' Foltz Sr.
LEWISTOWN - Stephen E. "Skip" Foltz Sr., 50, of 116 Hawsbrick St., Lewistown, died at 8:05 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2001, at the Lebanon Veteran's Hospital, Lebanon. Born May 22, 1951, in Lewistown, he was the son of Esther V. (Geedy) Foltz of 126 Hawsbrick St., Lewistown and the late Bernard E. "Barney" Foltz. His wife, Deborah (Donley) Foltz, whom he married Oct. 28, 1995, survives. Also surviving are: children, Susanne L. Foltz, Milroy, Mrs. David (Rebecca) Hannon, Reedsville, Mrs. Brian (Jane) Cramer, Lancaster County, and Stephen E. Foltz Jr., at home; stepchildren, Amy L. Peachy, Belleville and Aaron Cox, at home; sisters and brothers, Mrs. Michael (Lisea) Spahr, Scott A. Foltz, and Jeffrey M. Foltz, all of Lewistown, Leah Foltz, Carlisle, and Mrs. Charles (Leta) Doyle, Reedsville; and five grandchildren. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Early in life, he was a self-employed over the road truck driver and later as an adult training facility instructor at Skills of Central Pennsylvania. He was a member of Grace Covenant Church, where he was a musician in the The Hand of Grace Musical Group. He was also an instructor at the American Red Cross and a medication administration instructor for the State of Pennsylvania. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Danny R. Neff officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, where graveside military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Hand of Grace, c/o Grace Covenant Church, 205 Washington Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Frances G. Forgy
MCVEYTOWN - Frances G. Forgy, 82, of Fairview Rd., McVeytown, died at 1:24 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital. Born Jan. 31, 1919, in Wayne Township, she was a daughter of the late Merle S. and W. Faye (Gearhart) Kane. Her husband, Roy L. Forgy, whom she married Sept. 19, 1942, preceded her in death in August 1984. Surviving are: a daughter, Sheryl A. Stoner, Irvin Ridge Road, McVeytown; two brothers, Fern R. Kane, Palmyra; G. Elwood Kane, Meade, KS; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Ethel) Rosensteel, Mount Union; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many foster children whom she raised. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thurman S. Kane. She was previously employed at L. Grief and Company Sewing Factory, Mount Union, and as a cook at Kountry Kitchen Restaurant, McVeytown, and helped her husband on their dairy farm. She was a member of the Atkinson Mills United Methodist Church, where she taught children's Sunday School class for many years, served as church historian, and participated in the ladies class of the church. She was also a member of the Country Crossroads Senior Citizens Center, Atkinson Mills, and enjoyed quilting. Her service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Atkinson Mills United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert A. Brown Sr. officiating. Interment will be in the Atkinson Mills United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, and from 10 a.m. until the services Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Atkinson Mills United Methodist Church Maintenance Fund, P.O. Box 337, Newton Hamilton, PA 17075.

Blanche I. Forsythe
TOPTON - Blanche I. Forsythe, 89, of Topton, Berks County, formerly of York, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at the residence of her daughter-in-law, Bette M. Forsythe of Macungie, Lehigh County. Born June 29, 1911, in Whitehall, Lehigh County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary E. (Baker) Goss. Her husband, Carl V. Forsythe, preceded her in death. Surviving are: two grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a sister, Charlotte Cox of Mount Union; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl E. Forsythe and two grandchildren. She retired from York Maid Sewing Factory, York. She was a member of Saint Peters United Church of Christ, Topton and a former member of Faith United Church of Christ, York. She was also a member of the Ladies Garment Workers Union. Private graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Rose Cemetery, York, with the Rev. Robert E. Brown officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a trust fund established for the grandchildren at First Union National Bank, attn: David Mercer, 506 19th St., Allentown, PA 18104. Baumeister, Orcutt & Small Mortuaries Inc., Roosevelt at Madison Avenue, York, is in charge of arrangements.
