Edward K. Robison
EAST WATERFORD - Edward K. Robison, 50, of East Waterford RR1, died at 2:47 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at his residence. Born Oct. 1, 1950, in Roaring Springs, he was the son of Hester (Benn) Robison of Hollidaysburg and the late Donald Robison. His wife, Barbara (McCloskey) Robison, survives. Surviving are: children, Adam E. Robison, Donald G. Robison and Katie Robison, all at home, and Angie M. Clouser, East Waterford RR1; brother and sisters, Charles E. Robison, East Freedom, Lois Fisher, Roaring Springs, Sharon Yingling, Puzzletown and Hester Dibert, Fairhope; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother. He was a mechanic for Ryder Transportation, Harrisburg. He attended South Juniata Baptist Church, Honey Grove. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the South Juniata Baptist Church, Honey Grove, with Pastor Dennis R. Thompson Jr. officiating. Interment will be in East Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, with the family present from 7-9 p.m. and from 1 p.m. until the time of the services Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to: Sun Home Health Services, 2 Hudson Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Nicholas Edward Rodriguez-Smith
MCALISTERVILLE - Nicholas Edward Rodriguez-Smith, infant son of Diane M. Smith of McAlisterville RR1, was stillborn at 8:01 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, at the Lewistown Hospital. He is survived by a brother, Cody Allen Reistline, at home; and a maternal grandmother, Ruth E. Boyle, Liverpool. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Blue Ridge Gardens, 6701 Old Johnstown Road, Harrisburg, with Chaplain Cathy Janke officiating. Sheaffer Funeral Home, McAlisterville, is in charge of arrangements.

Arlene G. Roe
MEXICO - Arlene G. Roe, 76, of Mexico, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2001, at Lewistown Hospital. Born Aug. 10, l924, in Milford Township, Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Sylvia (Farleman Shotzberger) Roe. She is survived by two nieces and two nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. She did housework and babysat for people in the area. She was a member of Mexico United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed cooking and reading. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Guss Funeral Home, 20 South Third Street, Mifflintown. Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Arlene Roe Memorial Fund, c/o Brenda J. Harry J. 'Buzz' Roe
MIFFLIN - Harry J. "Buzz" Roe, 71, of HC 67, Box 181, Mifflin (Doyles Mills), died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, at his farm. Born July 9, 1930, in Lack Township, Juniata County, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Anna Marie (Campbell) Roe. His wife, Ruth E. (Wisehaupt) Roe, whom he married Jan. 12, 1953, survives. Also surviving are: daughters, Treva A. Kauffman, Mifflin and Wanda M. Geedey, Port Royal RR2; sisters, Mary Smith, Carlisle and Mrs. Leroy (Annabelle) Long, Port Royal; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Long. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Walnut Grange #776 and the Beale Township Fire Company. His service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. Harold N. Imes officiating. Interment will be at Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Rex Funeral home, Port Royal. Roy Rogers
LEWISTOWN - Roy Rogers, 80, of 5 Folk Road, Lewistown, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, 276 Green Ave., Lewistown. Born Dec. 9, 1920, in Camden, SC, he was the son of the late Alexander M. and Ida O. (Hinson) Rogers. His wife, Anna J. (Folk) Rogers, whom he married April 2, 1949, survives. Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Michael (Linda S.) Silks, Steven A. Rogers, Dora D. Rogers, Mark A. Rogers, all of Lewistown, Mrs. Alan (Terry L.) Kulp, West Palm Beach, Fla., Douglas E. Rogers, Burnham, and Brian S. Rogers, Aspers; sister and brothers, Kathryn Goodson, Warner Robbins, Ga., Wofford Rogers and Levern Rogers, both of Camden, SC., and Raphul Rogers, North Carolina; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European and Pacific Theatres and was a recipient of a Purple Heart. He was employed at Marlette Homes from 1962-1972 and then was a cafeteria manager at Empire Kosher from 1975-1980. Funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Captain Eddie Purvis officiating. Interment will be in Alfarata Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday at the funeral home.

Ralph C. Roles
MCVEYTOWN - Ralph C. Roles, 82, of 455 Big Greenbriar Road, McVeytown, died at 6:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at J C Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born June 13, 1918, in Clay Township, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late Charles N. and Edith (Booher) Roles. His wife, Edith V. (Scott) Roles, whom he married in March 1942, survives. Also surviving are: children, Charles T. Roles and David L. Roles, both of Big Greenbriar Road, McVeytown and Ralph D. Roles, Woodbridge, Va.; two sisters, Faye W. Peters, Lewistown and Betty Carl, Erie; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon V. Roles, a grandson, and brothers and sisters, Walter Roles, Melvin N. Roles, Charles A. Roles, Ruth Kephart, and Alice Roles. He had been employed by General Refractories in Mount Union on Jack's Mountain; by the Pennsylvania Department of Forest and Waters; by LC Anderson and Sons Inc.; by Laney's Feed Mill in Smithfield; and on the road crew for Wayne Township, Mifflin County. He had attended the Cedar Crest-Lucy Furnace Chapel. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting and farming. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with Pastor Sam King officiating. Interment will be in the Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirleysburg RR1. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.

Margaret A. "Peg" Romig
LEWISTOWN - Margaret A. "Peg" Romig, 70, of 9 Chapel Dr., Lewistown, died at 10:08 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, at Lewistown Hospital. Born June 17, 1931, in McKeesport, she was a daughter of Dorothy M. (Kramer) Hinkle Hartley of Milroy and the late Orville E. Hinkle. Her husband, Leonard M. Romig, whom she married on May 4, 1974, survives. Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Donald (Wendy) Fye and Larry M. Romig, both of Siglerville, Mrs. Dwain (Sandra) Lauver, Granville, Mrs. William (Glenda) Morrison, Milroy, and Mrs. Gary (Cindy) Morris, Elmira, N.Y.; brothers and sisters, Howard Hinkle, Alfarata, Mary Ellen Parson, Tulsa, OK, Earnest Hinkle, Huntsville, AL, and Gary Hinkle, Abernathy, TX; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Maddox. She was employed at Arrow Shirt Factory for 18 years and was a homemaker. Her services will be held at 10:30 am. Tuesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with the Rev. Jacob T. Traxler officiating. Interment is in Mount Rock Cemetery Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice: The Bridge, 1126 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Donald L. Ronk
MCVEYTOWN - Donald L. Ronk, 66, of Whispering Pines Personal Care Home, Bellefonte, formerly of McVeytown RR, died at 3:35 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte. Born Feb. 24, 1935, in Mattawana, he was a son of the late Florence (Ronk) Kenepp. He is survived by a companion, Joyce Shawver, Whispering Pines Personal Care Home, Bellefonte. In his early years, he helped on his family's farm. He attended the New York Pilgrim Church, Howard. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with the Rev. Charles Elliot officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: the New York Pilgrim Church, 155 Church Road, Howard, PA 16841.
