Annabelle L. Eaton
THOMPSONTOWN - Annabelle L. Eaton, 90, of Thompsontown, formerly of East Waterford, died at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin. Born March 9, 1910, in Tuscarora Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Etta (Henry) Hampton. Her husband, Samuel Eaton, preceded her in death. Surviving are; children, Earl L. Eaton, East Waterford, Inez Fry, Mary Lou Lorenz and Dorothy Lehman, all of Thompsontown; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, H. Dale and Clyde Eaton; two brothers and five sisters. She retired as a seamstress from the East Salem Garment Factory and baked pies for the Corner Deli, Thompsontown. She was a member of Locust Run United Methodist Church. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, with Pastor Dennis R. Thompson Jr. officiating. Interment will be in East Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call noon-8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions by be made to Locust Grove Retirement Village, HC 67, Mifflin, Pa. 17058.

Lillie M. 'Dolly' Ebersole
MCALISTERVILLE - Lillie M. "Dolly" Ebersole, 59, of Main Street, McAlisterville, died at 6:29 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at the Lewistown Hospital as a result of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident. Born Sept. 28, 1940, in McAlisterville RR1, she was the daughter of Martha (Gearhart) Varner of Brookline Manor Convalescent Rest Home, Mifflintown RR1, and the late Adam J. Varner. Also surviving are: two brothers, Frank R. Varner, Millerstown RR1, and Anthony R. Varner, McAlisterville RR1. She was preceded in death by a brother, James E. Varner in 1965. She attended East Juniata High School, Cocolamus. She did childcare in her home and had worked as a seamstress at the East Salem Shirt Factory from 1976 until it closed. She was a member of the Stony Run Mission Church, Richfield RR1, where she was the librarian and helped with Bible School. She was an avid shopper and collected teddy bears. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stony Run Mission Church, Richfield RR1, with the Rev. James A. Neimond Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal RR1. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Saturday at the Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, where the family will be present from 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Stony Run Mission Church, Building Fund, RR1, Box 596, Richfield, PA 17086.

Donald R. Echard
MCVEYTOWN - Donald R. Echard, 57, of 39 Sheaffer Drive, McVeytown, died at 10:25 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2000, at his residence. Born Dec. 19, 1942, in Newry, Blair County, he was the son of the late Earl F. and Grace (Allison) Echard. His wife, Charlene (Koozer) Echard, whom he married June 17, 1964, survives. Also surviving are: children, Sue Ellen Echard, Newtown Square and Alan R. Echard, Harrisburg; sister and brother, Mrs. Cary (Barbara) Engle, Lemoyne and Blair R. Echard, Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown; and one granddaughter. He received a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Penn State University in 1964. He was a mechanical engineer at Standard Steel, Burnham from 1969 to the present. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Lewistown, where he taught Sunday school, was on the deacon board, the pastoral board and the charity official board. He was also a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Calvary Bible Church, 301 S. Pine Road, Lewistown, with the Rev. Roger R. Reece officiating. Interment will be in the Spring Run Cemetery, McVeytown RR. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the services Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to: Calvary Bible Church, 301 S. Pine Road, Lewistown, PA 17044.

Martha K. Egan
LEWISTOWN - Martha K. Egan, 82, of 361 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, died at 5:25 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home. Born Dec. 9, 1917, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late David R. and Pauline A. (Wisehaupt) Thomas. Her husband, James T. Egan, died July 23, 1981. Surviving are: children, Jane E. Smith, 369 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, Patty S. Wagner, 441 S. Juniata St., Lewistown, and James P. Egan, Franklin, NC; a brother, David G. Thomas, Cary, NC; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James T. Egan Jr., and two sisters. She was a housewife, and early in life, she worked for the American Viscose Corporation and was a proofreader for The Sentinel, Lewistown. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Friends may call from noon until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's ELC Building Fund, 120 N. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044 or to Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, 276 Green Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.

T. Blair Elbin
STATE COLLEGE - T. Blair Elbin, 76, of State College, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at his residence. Born Sept. 28, 1924, in Artemus, he was a son of the late Henry Howard and Ada Marie (Collins) Elbin. His wife, Mary Helen (Kegerreis) Elbin, whom he married Oct. 11, 1952, survives. Also surviving are: children, Gregory Blair Elbin, Parsippany, NJ, and Wendy Elbin Luce, Milford, NJ; a sister, Thelma Marie Monn, Chambersburg; and four grandchildren. He was a 1942 graduate of Everett High School, Bedford County. He was an advisory marketing representative for IBM, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, where he was a past deacon and elder and co-chairman of the building fund. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 700, State College; a life member of the Bellefonte Chapter 241 Royal Arch Masons, where he was High Priest; a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Consistory, Valley of Williamsport; the Commandry of Knights Templar, Bellefonte; and the NRA. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, with the Rev. Ann N. Graves officiating. Interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park, College Township. Friends may call from noon until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brookline Home Care and Hospice, 3901 S. Atherton St., State College, PA 16801.

E. Blanche Emery
MECHANICSBURG - E. Blanche Emery, 89, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Lewistown RR1, died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at the residence of her niece in Mechanicsburg. Born Oct. 3, 1910, in Entriken, she was the daughter of the late Horatio and Mary (Crouse) Fisher. Her husband, Howard M. Emery, died in 1970. She is survived by five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two sons, Forrest Aurand and Larry Emery; and four brothers and a sister. She worked in the coning-finishing room at the American Viscose Corporation, Lewistown, for 14 years, retiring in 1941. She was a member of Jehovah's Witness, Lewistown. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Mr. Harold F. Loudenslager officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the services Thursday at the funeral home.

Homer Estep
LEWISTOWN - Homer Estep, 66, of Rear 48 Chestnut St., Lewistown, died at 8:58 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2000, at Lewistown Hospital. Born May 18, 1934, in Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late Scott and Bessie (Moon) Estep. He is survived by a sister, Verna Hoffman, Chestnut Street, Lewistown. He was a truck driver for Les McDonald Paving Company, Huntingdon County. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing. Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth B. Esworthy
LEWISTOWN - Elizabeth B. Esworthy, 85, of 132 Valley St., Lewistown, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at her residence. Born July 4, 1915, in Cookport, Indiana County, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Stella G. (Sterner) Lutman. Her companion, Franklin P. Murray, survives. Also surviving are: daughters, Betty L. Oats, Shaw Avenue, Lewistown and Mary M. Schwantes, Salina, Kan.; a brother, Kenneth Lutman, Lindsborg, Kan.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jamahl Mills; three brothers and three sisters. She was employed as a clerk at the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Harrisburg, retiring in 1989 with 20 years of service. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Lewistown, and the ladies auxiliary of the American Legion Post 90. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lind Memorial Cemetery, Green Avenue, Lewistown, with the Rev. Jacob T. Traxler officiating. There will be no public viewing. Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
