Ethelda M. Kline Evans
LEWISTOWN - Ethelda M. Kline Evans, 92, a resident of Ohesson Manor, formerly of 22 Spanogle Ave., Lewistown, died at 6:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at the manor. Born May 12, 1908, in Paintersville, she was a daughter of the late Will John and Ida (Reigle) Deamer. Her first husband, Homer J. Kline, died in 1977, and her second husband, Warren R. Evans, died June 16, 1998. Surviving are: children, Will J. Kline, Upper Black Eddy, David F. Kline, Lewistown, and Pauline Kline, Allentown; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by two brothers, George and David Deamer. She was a homemaker and, early in life, worked at the American Viscose Corporation. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the World War II Mothers, the Church Women United, and the Beaver Springs Girls Band. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohesson Manor Dementia Unit, 276 Green Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Kenneth H. Fahnestock
SELINSGROVE - Kenneth H. Fahnestock, 68, of Rome Court, Selinsgrove, was pronounced dead at 7:24 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, after suffering a heart attack at the Selinsgrove-Milton High School football game at Milton. Born April 2, 1932, in Richfield, Juniata County, he was the son of the late Kenneth Groom Fahnestock and Mary Caroline (Frantz) Fahnestock-Finsterbush. His wife, Patricia L. Hughes, whom he married May 22, 1953, survives. Also surviving are: children, Michael K. Fahnestock and Mrs. Daniel C. (Linda K). LaBrec, both of Selinsgrove, and Mrs. Gary T. (Lisa K.) Morton, Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother, Karl E. Fahnestock, Columbia, SC; and seven grandchildren. He graduated in 1950 from Selinsgrove High School, Selinsgrove and also attended the former Lock Haven State Teachers College, Lock Haven, for two years. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. In 1997, he retired from the Selinsgrove Center, Selinsgrove, where he was employed as an aide/attendant from 1985-1997. Prior to that, he was employed as an agent by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Sunbury, from 1970-1983. He also had been a clerk for the Pennsylvania Railroad-Northumberland Yards, from 1956-1970. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 25, Selinsgrove; the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1173, Selinsgrove; and the Dauntless Fire Co. & Ambulance League, Selinsgrove. He was a sports enthusiast, a train collector and an avid history buff. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. Raymond D. Neitz officiating. Interment will he made in Orchard Hills Cemetery and Memorial Park, Shamokin Dam, with full military honors given by the American Legion Post 25, Selinsgrove. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Selinsgrove Meals-On-Wheels; c/o 400 N. Market St., Selinsgrove, PA 17870.

Charles J. "Bub" Felmlee Jr.
DOYLESBURG - Charles J. "Bub" Felmlee Jr., 56, of 22095 Cross Road, Doylesburg, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at 4:30 p.m. at his residence. Born July 6, 1944, in Doylesburg, he was a son of the late Olive M. (Goshorn) and Charles J. Felmlee Sr. Surviving are: brothers and sisters, William M. Felmlee, Richard F. Felmlee and L. George Felmlee, all of Doylesburg, Mrs. Larry (Hannah) Yocum, Harrisburg, and Marietta Horst, Shippensburg. He graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 1962. He was a life-long dairy farmer in Doylesburg and had also worked at the New Enterprise Lime and Stone Co., Roaring Spring, and the quarry in Dry Run. He had served in the Army Reserve, Chambersburg. He attended Doylesburg United Methodist Church, Doylesburg and was a member of the James W. McCartney American Legion Post 232, Dry Run. He enjoyed hunting. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the John L. Agett Funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run, with the Rev. William Bair officiating. Interment will be in Upper Path Valley Cemetery, Fannett Township. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Doylesburg United Methodist Church, Doylesburg, PA 17219 or Fannett-Metal Fire Co., c/o Richard Doyle, PO Box 51, Dry Run, PA 17220.

Maeetta Jane Ferguson
THOMPSONTOWN - Maeetta Jane Ferguson, 62, of Thompsontown RR1 (Dimmsville ), died at 11:07 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2000 at her residence after a two year illness. Born May 25, 1938 in Liverpool, Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Charlotte (Hoffman) Strawser Sr. Her husband Fred F. Ferguson, whom she married April 22, 1958, survives. Also surviving are: children, Farley Ferguson and Crystal Fronk, both of Thompsontown RR1, Sondra Rojas, Reston, VA and Victoria Troutman, Millerstown; brothers and sisters, Benjamin Strawser Jr., Duncannon, Gerald Strawser, Liverpool RR2, Chester Strawser, Liverpool, RR1 Velma Kerstetter, McAlisterville RR1 and Almeda Fisher, Richfield RR1; and 10 grandchildren. She was a 1955 graduate of Greenwood High School, Millerstown. She was employed as the Greenwood Township Secretary, as the Seven Stars Branch, Juniata County Librarian, and was also employed as a bus driver for the Greenwood School District. She was also employed at the Weis Market, Newport, and worked most recently with the law firm of Angino and Rovner, Harrisburg, a post she retired from due to illness. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at both the East Salem United Methodist Church and previously of the Bethlehem United methodist Church. She was a life-member of the Greenwood Grange. She enjoyed gardening on her farm and also enjoyed traveling, church activities and walking. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the East Salem United Methodist church, Thompsontown RR1, with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. John C. Libert and the Rev. Terry A. Sheldon, her former pastor assisting. Interment will be in the Maze Cemetery, Thompsontown RR1. Friends may call from noon until the time of the service Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the East Salem United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. Dr. John C. Libert, RR2 Box 1170, Mifflintown, PA 17059. The George P. Garman Funeral Home, 606 N. Front St., Liverpool, is in charge of arrangements.

Howard W. Ferster
MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS - Howard W. Ferster, 80, of Mount Pleasant Mills, died at 7:42 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, of natural causes while hunting on Shade Mountain. Born July 26, 1920, in Richfield, he was a son of the late Earl S. and Emma (Graybill) Ferster. His wife, Helen L. (Renninger) Ferster, whom he married June 20, 1942, survives. Also surviving are: children, Janet E. Losch, Newfield, NJ and Karen L. Ferster, Mount Pleasant Mills; brothers and sisters, Earl W. Ferster, Selinsgrove, A. Miriam Swartz and Muriel A. Stouffer, both of Richfield; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Howard Lynn Ferster in 1981, and also by brothers, Robert M. and Paul G. Ferster. He attended Richfield Elementary School. He worked as a carpenter for 25 years for Weaver and Losch Construction, Kreamer, until retirement in 1982. He also worked as an auto mechanic for Regester Chevrolet, formerly in Richfield from 1935 to 1957, and sexed chickens for Tony Arndt in Milton and Fred Phillips in Pillow. He was a member of Richfield Mennonite Church, where he served as general treasurer and was also a member of the National Rifle Association and the Richfield Sportsman's Club. He also served on the Richfield Water Authority, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Richfield Mennonite Church, with Pastor Jerry R. O'Connell, PhD. and Pastor Chandler J. Cutting officiating. Interment will be in Richfield Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Richfield Mennonite Church Mission Fund, RR1, Box 11, Richfield, PA 17086. The Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, is in charge of arrangements.

Albert R. Fetters Jr.
JOHNSTOWN - Albert R. Fetters, 37, of 304 Decker Ave., Johnstown, formerly of 10 Fetters Lane, Lewistown, died at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000 at his home. Born Nov. 17, 1963 in Lewistown, he was a son of Albert R. Fetters Sr. and Joan (Reiger) Fetters. Surviving are brothers, Donald W. Fetters, 14 Fetters Lane, Lewistown and Joseph C. Fetters, 10 Fetters Lane, Lewistown, and paternal grandparents, Helen Cramer, Nanty-Glo and Edna and Earl Fetters, 1821 Valley View Avenue, Lewistown. He was a 1982 graduate of the Mifflin County Christian Academy. He attended Williamsport Area Community College and the Pittsburgh Art Institute. He was employed as a flight technician for Continental and Eastern Airlines. He attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Juniata Terrace, Lewistown. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the CMA Church with the Rev. John Looney officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Service of Community Nursing, 117 Work Drive, Johnstown, PA 15904. The Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty-Glo was in charge of arrangements.

Mabel G. Fisher
MIFFLIN - Mabel G. Fisher, 95, a resident of Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin, formerly of 10 Ort Valley Road, Lewistown, died at 9:56 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital. Born Feb. 5, 1905, in Blair County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob K. and Nancy Jane (Fouse) Detwiler. Her husband, Edward J. Fisher, died May 24, 1961. Surviving are: children, Mrs. Harry (LaMar) Ramsey, 514 Freedom Ave., Burnham, Max E. Fisher, 3904 US Highway 522 North, Lewistown, and Richard D. Fisher, 33 Woodbine Road, Lewistown; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one step-grandchild. She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Holy Communion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Yeagertown. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Claude Baublitz officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chief Logan Lions Club, PO Box 83, Lewistown, PA 17044 or American Cancer Society, 26 N. Brown St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Stella A. Fisher
LEWISTOWN - Stella A. Fisher, 86, a resident of Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, Lewistown, formerly of 214 Terrace Boulevard, Lewistown, died at 3:13 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at the nursing home. Born Sept. 3, 1914, in Edendale, Centre County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Stawacki) Kasmark. Her husband, Melvin R. Fisher, died March 30, 1983. Surviving are: a daughter, Marlene Burkholder, Valley Street, Lewistown; a nephew, whom she raised, Larry Sutusky, 10936 Rock Coast Road, Columbia, Md.; two grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. She was a sales clerk at Danks & Company for 33 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Marickovic officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today at the Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, where a Rosary service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
