Nancy M. Hawn Robbins
ELIZABETHTOWN - Nancy M. Hawn Robbins, 58, of 155 S. Poplar St., Elizabethtown, died at 7:25 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2000, at her residence. Born Nov. 6, 1941, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Mary M. (Kitting) Norris. Her husband, Dr. Timothy W. Robbins, survives. Also surviving are: daughters, Jennifer Hawn, Lebanon, and Wendy Hawn Greider, Lancaster; sisters and brother, Mrs. Ronald (Barbara) Bargo, Port Royal, Mrs. Joseph (Jane) Marlowe, Mifflintown, and Samuel C. Norris, Lewistown; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was a 1959 graduate of Lewistown High School. She was an administrative assistant for National Environmental Services Inc., the The Wyatt Group Inc., Lancaster, and Cutler Dairy Products Inc., Philadelphia. She was also a certified nurses assistant for the Masonic Homes in Elizabethtown. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Landisville. She was an accomplished flutist and participated in district and state bands. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. John Looney officiating. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Pleasant View Cemetery, Shade Gap. There will be no viewing.

Walter T. Robinson
DUNNELLON, Fla. - Walter T. Robinson, 69, of 2311 Southwest Rainbow Lakes Boulevard, Dunnellon, Fla., formerly of Lewistown, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at his residence. Born July 17, 1931, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Katherine Robinson. His wife, Nancy E. (Montgomery) Robinson of Dunnellon, Fla., survives. Also surviving are: children, Linda Robinson, Dunnellon, Fla., David Robinson, Dukes, Okla., and Diane Robinson, Greely, Colo.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Robert Robinson. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Drexel Institute of Technology, both in Philadelphia. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a chemist, retiring from the Department of Environmental Resources, Harrisburg, in 1996. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lewistown and the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dunnellon, Fla. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lewistown, with the Rev. Father Thomas Marickovic officiating. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, PA 17044 or to the American Cancer Society-Colon Cancer Research, 26 N. Brown St., Lewistown, PA 17044. The Florida Cremation Society, Ocala, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.

John H. Romig
YEAGERTOWN - John H. Romig, 72, of 274 N. Derry Ave., Yeagertown, died at 11:34 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000 at Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, Lewistown. Born Aug. 9, 1928 in Derry Township, Mifflin County, he was a son of the late Ross C. and Blanche E. (Kratzer) Romig. His wife Edith G. (Yetter) Romig, whom he married June 30, 1951, survives. Also surviving are: children, David A. Romig, James C. Romig, Holtwood, Mrs. Gary (Joan) Hagemeyer, Yeagertown and Mrs. George (Kathleen) Watson Jr., Burnham; brothers and sisters, Marion Soccio, Milroy, Mrs. Walter (Dorothy) Fisher, Milroy RD, Melvin Romig, Naginey, Mrs. Fred (Eleanor) Swanger, Lewisburg and William Romig, North Pole, Ala.; two grandchildren and one step-grandson. He was preceded in death by one brother, David Romig. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Coast Guard. He was employed by Standard Steel, Burnham, where he retired from the heat treating department in 1984 after 27 years of service. He was a member of Holy Communion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Yeagertown. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, First Avenue, Burnham, with the Rev. Philip C. Tundel officiating. Interment will be in Yeagertown Lutheran Cemetery, Yeagertown. There will be no public viewing. Family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Ruth E. Ronk
MCVEYTOWN - Ruth E. Ronk, 82, of Ronk's Lane, McVeytown, died at 10:57 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born July 13, 1918, in Bratton Township, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Sylvia (Rebman) Rittenhouse. Her husband, Charles L. Ronk, whom she married July 21, 1937, died Sept. 19, 1972. Surviving are: children, Mrs. Donald (Hazel) Miller, Lewistown, Mrs. James (Betty) Wilhelm, Yeagertown, and Carl B. Ronk, McVeytown; brothers and sisters, Esther Grassmyer, Virginia Harshbarger, Paul Rittenhouse and Charles Rittenhouse, all of Pine Glen, Gladys Barlett, Simsbury, Conn., Mrs. Glen (Helen) Espigh, McVeytown, James Rittenhouse, Newton Hamilton, Mary Maxwell, Mattawana, Mrs. Max (Hazel) Fisher, Lewistown RR, Thelma Rittenhouse, Malta Home, Granville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Rittenhouse, and a sister, Zana Hesser. She was a homemaker and also worked as a cook at the Malta Home for more than 20 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed crocheting. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with the Rev. Donald E. Peters Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery, Lewistown. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Geisinger Miracle Network, 100 North Academy Ave., Danville, PA 17821, in honor of Miranda Rutter.

Daniel W. Rook
UPLAND, Calif. - Daniel W. Rook, 86, of Upland, Calif., died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at San Antonio Community Hospital, Upland, Calif. Born Oct. 28, 1913, in Milroy, he was the son of the late John and Eva (Close) Rook. His wife, Edith Rook of Upland, Calif., survives. Also surviving are: a son, Ronald Rook, Lititz; brothers and sisters, M. Helen Bobb, Barbara Rook, and Brown Rook, all of Milroy, and Clifford Rook, Mifflintown; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was a wholesale milkman, retired from Shady Grove Dairy, Upland, Calif. He was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church in Upland, Calif. A memorial service was held at the Brethren in Christ Church in Upland, Calif. and interment was private. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Mission Fund of Brethren in Christ Church, 845 W. Arrow Highway, Upland, CA 91786. The Stone Funeral Home, 355 E. 9th St., Upland, Calif., was in charge of arrangements.

Roy C. Roush
LEWISTOWN - Roy C. Roush, 81, of Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin, formerly of 106 Shaw Ave., Lewistown, died at 2:25 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at the Locust Grove Retirement Village. Born May 13, 1919, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Edith (Davis) Roush. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Goss) Roush, in 1997. Surviving is: a son, Dean C. Roush of Lewistown. He worked in the Maintenance Department of Standard Steel, Burnham, retiring in 1981, after 40 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in World War II. He was a member of the Lewistown Presbyterian Church and a member and past treasurer of Baraca Room Men's Bible Class. He was also a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 1940, a former member and flag bearer at the Brooklyn Drum and Bugle Corps and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, Lewistown with the Rev. Robert Zorn officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark's Episcopal Cemetery of Lewistown. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewistown Presbyterian Church, 17 E. Third St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Willard Royer
SPRING MILLS - Willard Royer, 74, of rural Spring Mills, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Centre Community Hospital, State College. Born Feb. 27, 1926, in State College, he was the son of the late Samuel and Blanche (Wagner) Royer. His wife, Rosa (Schlecht) Royer, whom he married in 1947, survives. Also surviving are: sons, Dennis W. Royer, Spring Mills and Gary Royer, Bellefonte; a brother, Herbert Royer, Milesburg; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, and one great-granddaughter. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, having served with Company G, 3rd Military Government Regiment in the Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe Campaigns. He earned a European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, a Victory Ribbon, a Good Conduct Medal, an Occupation Medal, three Bronze Service Stars, and a Combat Infantryman's Badge. He worked as a mechanic for 43 years at Hagan's Garage and Miller Motors in Centre Hall. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. Services will be held at noon Saturday at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, with the Rev. Gregory N. VanDyke officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Union Cemetery, Farmer's Mills. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Centre Community Hospital, 1800 E. Park Ave., State College, PA 16803.

David E. Ruble Sr.
REEDSVILLE - David E. Ruble Sr., 55, of 59 Hillside Drive, Reedsville, died at 7:51 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital. Born May 9, 1945, in Milroy, he was the son of the late Clarence Edward and Mary Jane (Kurtz) Ruble. His wife, Carolyn C. (Meloni) Ruble, whom he married May 25, 1965, survives. Also surviving are: children, Deanna J. (Ruble) Havice and David E. Ruble Jr., both of Reedsville; brothers, Merle C. Ruble, New Cumberland, Robert R. Ruble and William F. Ruble, both of Milroy; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Carpenter in 1994 and a brother, Ray E. Ruble in 1987. He was owner and operator of Ruble's Donuts, Belleville for over 25 years. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Pastor Lester Diller officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy. There will be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Ave., Building D, Suite 101, Altoona, PA 16601 or to Mountain View Mennonite Church, PO Box 184, Reedsville, PA 17084.
