Helen P. Wagner
LEWISTOWN - Helen P. Wagner, 83, a resident of Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, formerly of 120 S. Spruce St., Lewistown, died at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at the nursing home. Born Jan. 21, 1917, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Ruth C. (Hamilton) Berkheimer. Her husband, Paul G. "Gammy" Wagner, died March 16, 1991. She is survived by a sister, Dolores Knarr, Lewistown. She was preceded in death by a brother, Albert C. Berkheimer. She was a homemaker and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lewistown. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Dale Hippensteel officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Grace United Methodist Church, 101 Logan St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Lee F. Wagner
LEWISTOWN - Lee F. Wagner, 89, of 713 E. Harvard St., Lewistown, died at 1:15 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2000, at Lewistown Hospital. Born Sept. 25, 1910, in Treaster Valley, he was a son of the late William and Hattie (Wert) Wagner. His wife, Virginia (Longwell) Wagner, died Jan. 5, 1979. Surviving are; children, Don Linn and David Wagner, both of Lewistown, Daniel Wagner, Milroy, and Bessie Shilling, Maitland; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. He retired from Standard Steel, Burnham in 1972, after 30 years in the ring mill. He was a member of Assembly of God Church, Lewistown. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Evan Iacoboni officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Luther R. Wagner
MCCLURE - Luther R. Wagner, 92, of McClure, died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont RR1, where he had been a resident for three weeks. Born Dec. 2, 1907, in Spring Township, Snyder County, he was the son of the late Erie and Mabel (Gill) Wagner. His wife, Grace M. (Bilger) Wagner, whom he married in 1933, died May 24, 2000. Surviving are: a son, Marvin L. Wagner, Beavertown RR1; a sister, Kathryn Hackenberg, McClure; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances A. Long on May 18, 2000; a sister, Malinda Hilbish; and a brother, Chester Wagner. He retired from Standard Steel, Burnham in 1970 after 33 years of service in the rolling mill. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, McClure. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, McClure, with the Rev. Phil Thorsen officiating. Interment will be in the McClure Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the services Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to: Trinity Lutheran Church, McClure, PA 17841. The Aurand Funeral Home, McClure, is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Lewis Wagner
LEWISTOWN - Richard Lewis Wagner, 84, a resident of the Brethren Home Community, New Oxford, formerly of 308 S. Wayne St., Lewistown, died at 9:54 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at the community. Born Sept. 5, 1916, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late James M. and Margaret (Oldt) Wagner. Surviving are: children, Mrs. Gary (Joann) Crozier, Kissamee, Fla., William H. Wagner, Spring Grove, and Richard Lee Wagner, South Brown Street, Lewistown; brother, Clarence Wagner, Granville; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters. He was owner/operator of Wagner's Cafe for more than 60 years and landlord of local rental properties. He was a life member of the Brooklyn Hose Co., Lewistown. Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Jacob T. Traxler officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2001 N. Front St., Building 2, Suite 321, Harrisburg, PA 17102. Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, was in charge of arrangements.

Victor C.W. Wagner
MCCLURE - Victor C. W. Wagner, 70, of McClure, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, Lewistown. Born Feb. 25, 1930, in McClure, he was a son of the late Aaron R. and Sarah O. (Treaster) Wagner. His wife, Mildred (Lois) Robinson, whom he married in 1954, died in 1993. Surviving are: daughters, Victoria R. Wagner, Pittsburgh, and Holly A. Wagner, Fayetteville, Ark.; sisters and brother, Cecile J. Wagner and Quentin T. Wagner, both of McClure, and Corda A. Hoffman, Lancaster; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Jenny Wagner in 1955. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and served from 1951-1955 at Tulle Air Force Base, Greenland. He worked as a core finisher at Golden Foundry, Columbus, Ind., for 32 years, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed collecting pocket knives. Services will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday at the McClure chapel of Aurand Funeral Homes, North Brown Street, McClure, with the Rev. Wayne C. Muthler officiating. Interment will be in Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, Columbus, Ind. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home.

Elvin L. Walker Sr.
ROCKHILL FURNACE - Elvin L. Walker Sr., 73, of Rockhill Furnace, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at his home. Born July 28, 1927, in Saltillo, he was the son of the late Rev. Paul and Hazel (Watkins) Walker. His stepmother, Hazel (Miller) Walker of Mount Union and his wife, Henrietta L. (Wolford) Walker, whom he married Sept. 5, 1959 in Harrisburg, survive. Also surviving are: children, J. Stephen Walker Sr., Whitehall, John Walker, Red Lion, Kimberly Hornburger, Sevierville, Tenn., Elva Fedin, Newville, Helenmarie Boonie, Masseysburg, Lori Diven, Orbisonia, and Elvin L. Walker Jr., Salenas, Calif.; a sister, Pauline Short, Waynesboro; half-brothers and half-sisters, David Walker, Hawthorne, James Walker, Oak Ridge, Paul Walker, Mount Union, Daniel Walker, McVeytown, Twila Horstick, Mechanicsburg, Md., Darlene Coco, Arizona, Hazel Mills, White Plains, Md., and Alda Rockey, Enola; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. He retired in 1993 from the Orbisonia Rockhill Joint Municipal Authority after approximately 20 years of service. Prior to that, he worked at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg. He was Protestant by faith. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing or visitation. The Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, is in charge of arrangements.

Iris Marie Walker
LEWISTOWN - Iris Marie Walker, 68, of 2448 Back Maitland Road, Lewistown, died at 1:40 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at the Bon Secours Hospital, Altoona. Born Aug. 14, 1932, in Buena Vista, Va., she was the daughter of Hayden (Henson) Humphreys of Craigsville, Va. and the late Guy H. Decker. Her husband, Gordon D. Walker, whom she married Oct. 14, 1950, survives. Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Douglas (Suzanne) Fisher, Nancy L. Walker, Gary D. Walker, and Neal R. Walker, all of Lewistown; a sister, Charlotte Gorniak, Erie; and six grandchildren. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lewistown, where she served as head of the primary department of the Sunday school, served on the administrative board, was a member of the Golden Rule Sunday School Class, and supervised church dinners. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Bowling League, was a Lewistown 4-H leader, and supervised the 4-H refreshment stands at the fairs for many years. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Schmuck officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing, but friends may call 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown. Family will provide all funeral flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to: First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Third St., Lewistown, PA 17044 or to the Central Pa. Chapter of the American Red Cross, Blood Donations, 13 E. Market St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Isabelle G. Walter
MIDDLEBURG - Isabelle G. Walter, 71, of Middleburg RR1, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at the Kramm Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Milton. Born Aug. 19, 1929, in Penns Creek, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Helen (Blackford) Kreamer. Her husband of 53 years, Harold H. "Hoovie" Walter, survives. Also surviving are: brother and sister, Paul Kreamer, Beavertown and Dorothy Kerstetter, New Berlin; a niece, Cindy Smith, whom she raised; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Christabelle Keister; brother, John Kreamer; and sister, Betty Kreamer. She was employed for 13 years by the Sterling Silk Mill, Mifflinburg; two years by the Middleburg Silk Mill; and two years by the Huntingdon Throwing Mills, Mifflinburg. She was formerly employed by Keister Poultry Dressing, Penns Creek. She also assisted her husband in the operation of the family farm, where they lived for 52 years. She was affiliated with St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Penns Creek. She loved animals and enjoyed attending area produce sales, auctions and flea markets. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, with the Rev. Edward R. DeGand and the Rev. James Leininger officiating. Interment will be in Penns Creek Union Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 600 Walnut and Raspberry Streets, Penns Creek, PA 17862.
