Harry C. Warner
(December 11, 1928 - April 11, 2015)

Our beloved father, Harry C. Warner, 86, of Reeders, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 11. He was the husband of the late Betty J. (Bost) Warner who died January 8, 1994.

Born on December 11, 1928 at home in Reeders, he was a son of the late Milo Norman and Alice (Butz) Warner and was a lifetime resident of Jackson Township.

Harry will always be remembered as a great coach and mentor to many baseball players and helped mold their careers. He touched many lives and was full of encouragement. He always told us to persevere and to “pull up our bootstraps”. That was just one of his many sayings.

He loved to hunt with his buddies and brothers-in-law. He was always ready for a hot dog and a beer.

His career in playing baseball began in the Poconos and in 1946 and from there he played with and managed the Boston Braves, Washington Senators, Minnesota Twins, Erie Senators, Orlando Twins, Charlotte Hornets, Tacoma Twins, Lychburg Twins, Renao Silver Sox, Wisconsin Rapid Twins, Toronto Blue Jays, Syracus Chiefs, and Visalia Oaks. From 1984 to 1990 he scouted for the Minnesota Twins and San Diego Padres.

The highlight and lifelong dream was when he made it to the Major Leagues. In 1981 he began his career with the Milwaukee Brewers as Third Base Coach. He had yet another dream come true when he went to the American League championship playoffs, and continued to play against the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1982 World Series.

Harry was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tannersville and the Major League Baseball Players Alumni.

Surviving are three daughters, Cynthia Warner of Stroudsburg, Dina L. Warner-Dusseault and her husband Robert of Stroudsburg, and Beth Ledbetter and her husband Christopher of Stapleton, AL; four grandchildren, Joshua Clinton Ledbetter and Ivy J. Ledbetter both of Stapleton, AL and Robert P. Dusseault III and Harry W. Dusseault both of Stroudsburg; a sister, Nita Morris and her husband Randall of Reeders; a sister-in-law, Edna F. Warner of Coatesville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Norman Max Warner, and a sister, Betty A. Rowe.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00AM Friday, April 17, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fish Hill Road, Tannersville with the Rev. Dr. Thomas E. Richards, Jr. officiating. Cremation was private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to Animal Welfare Society of Monroe (AWSOM), National Parkinson's Foundation or the American Heart Association.

Thomas P. Carey
(August 15, 1976 - April 13, 2015)

Thomas Patrick Carey, 38, of Easton, died Monday, April 13, at home.

Born on August 15, 1976 in Philadelphia, he worked in construction.

Surviving are his father and step-mother, Thomas J. and Caroline Carey of Saylorsburg; three sisters, Melissa Holland and her fiance Adam Lollis of Snydersville, Julia Carey and her fiance Marc Iannazzo of Saylorsburg, and Sarah Carey and her fiance Todd Huff of Easton; three children, Hailey Zotnyia, Samantha Zotnyia and Kieara Carey; a step-son, Tyler Waldren; great grandmother, Pearl Holland of Saylorsburg; his fiance, Noelle Chieffo of Easton; a niece, Adriana Meyers; and two nephews, Collin Meyers and Logan Meyers. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda (Williams) Heisler and nephew, Aaron Landon Lollis.

Viewing will begin at 9:00AM followed by funeral services at 11:00AM on Friday, April 17, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The Rev. Michael F. Quinnan will officiate. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to Animal Welfare Society of Monroe (AWSOM), P.O. Box 13, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.

Linda S. Kindred
(April 6, 1938 - April 12, 2015)

Linda S. Kindred, 77, of Nazareth, died Sunday evening, April 12, at home. She was the wife of Carl R. Kindred with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born on April 6, 1938 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Myrtle (Jones) Segar. She lived in Stroudsburg from 1976 until 2001 when she moved to Nazareth.

She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church in Stroudsburg.

Linda worked with children for over 40 years. She was a counselor for Valley Youth House; a guidance counselor and teacher at East Stroudsburg High School; and a teacher at Towanda and Bald Eagle Valley schools. She was also on the professional staff of Girl Scouts.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Linette Kindred-Lynch and her husband Michael of Rockaway, NJ; and two grandchildren, Andy and Connor Lynch.

Visitation will begin at 1:00PM followed by memorial services at 2:00PM on Thursday, April 23, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The Rev. Dr. Carol S. Brown will officiate. Cremation was private.

Dennis L. Rinaldi
(August 14, 1923 - April 8, 2015)

U.S. Veteran
Dennis L. Rinaldi, 91, of Stroudsburg, formerly of Henryville, died April 8, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of the late Ellen (Hughes) Rinaldi who passed away December 22, 2001. They were marriage for 56 years at the time of her death.

Born August 14, 1923, in Roseto, he was the son of the late Leonard and Lucy (Sabetti) Rinaldi and has been a Monroe County resident since 1958.

Dennis enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January 1941 and retired after 30 years of service. Most of the ships he served on were destroyers serving in the North Atlantic and Asiatic Pacific during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He earned the Good Conduct Medal with the first and second award with three bronze stars, the American Defense Medal with the Fleet bar with a bronze star, the American Campaign medal, the World War Victory Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Medal with two bronze stars and the Korean Conflict Medal.

After retirement Rinaldi worked for the Pocono Mountain School district. He was the maintenance engineer for the Holiday Inn on Route 447 in East Stroudsburg and a utility plant operator in the boiler room at East Stroudsburg University, retiring in January 1986.

He was on the fire crew at the Pocono International Race Way working the first race and several other races. He was a life member of the Stroud Township Fire Department, serving as a Lieutenant and Engineer. A member of the Four County Fireman's Association, he served with the Monroe County Police Reserves and the Monroe County Civil Defense Police. He was also a Deputy Constable and a Pennsylvania State Constable for 16 years having served in Monroe and Paradise Townships.

Dennis was a life member of Police Lodge # 74 in Stroudsburg, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1106 in Stroudsburg, and V.F.W. Post 2540 in East Stroudsburg. He was responsible for the Veterans Memorial that was placed in front of the V.F.W. Post 2504 in 1997. Dennis was a Charter member of the Mt. Bethel Portland American Legion Post 216 in Portland. He served as First and Second Vice Commander for eight years. He was Committee Chairman and Treasurer for the replacement of a new World War II Honor Roll in Portland and the update and replacement for the new Veterans Memorial, November 11, 1994 in Portland. Then he transferred to the George N. Kemp American Legion Post 346 in East Stroudsburg and served as Post Service Officer SGT at Arms, Post Executive Board and President of Home Association. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 115 in Allentown, and was active in the U.S. Navy Recruiting District Assistance Council of Stroudsburg, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Buffalo, NY.

He was a Plank Owner of the U.S. Navy Memorial Washington, DC, the USS Noa DD-841, the USS Manley DD-940 and the USS Toledo CA-133, and was a member of the Tin Can Sailors Association in Summerset, MA.

Rinaldi was an avid fisherman and hunter; and was a member of the Monroe Federation of Sportsman Club in Stroudsburg, of Wyoming Wild Life Federation Club Cheyene, WY, North American Hunting Club, Pocono Paradise Hunting club, Roseto Rod and Gun Club, Roseto; Laurel Hill Rod and Gun Club and served as President and other committees for many years. He was a great volunteer and helped many people, he will be missed by many.

Surviving are two sons; Richard Rinaldi of Scranton, and Dennis Rinaldi of Gouldsboro; daughter Lisa Lesoine of East Stroudsburg; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by brother, Leonard Rinaldi, Jr. and two sisters Mary Gallagher and Rose Mosier.

There will be a viewing from 3:00 to 7:00PM on Sunday, April 12, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The funeral service will begin at 10:00AM Monday, April 13, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Mountainview Mausoleum at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial remembrances be made to the American Legion of East Stroudsburg, or Stroud Township Fire Department, P.O. Box 807, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.

Samuel A. Litts
(January 2, 1937 - April 8, 2015)

Samuel A. Litts, 78, of Hamilton Township, died early Wednesday morning, April 8, while under hospice care at home.

Born on January 2, 1937 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Samuel A. Sr. and Barbara C. (Gleoggler) Litts and lived in Monroe County for most of his life.

He was a 1954 graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and then attended Churchman's Business School in Easton.

Sam worked for Patterson-Kelley in East Stroudsburg for ten years and then for the United States Postal Service in East Stroudsburg and Lehigh Valley until retiring in 1997 after 32 years of service.

He was a member of Pocono Lodge #780 F&AM; since 1965 and also belonged to the Bethlehem Council No. 36 Royal and Select Master Masons, Samuel S. Yohe Commandery #81, where he was Eminent Commander, and the Monroe Royal Arch Chapter.

Sam loved his golden retrievers, Bear, Duchess and Zoey.

Surviving are a daughter, Samara C. Litts-Morin and her husband, Michael of Hamilton Township; two sisters, Marylee L. Rehm and her husband, Richard of East Stroudsburg and Donna M. Geilmann and her husband, Michael of West Haven, UT; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 11:00AM and will be followed by memorial services at 11:30AM on Saturday, April 11, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 139 Craigs Meadow Road, East Stroudsburg. The Rev. John Harding will officiate. Cremation was private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Monroe Animal League, P.O. Box 23, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.

Richard Buchalski, Sr.
(January 14, 1948 - April 5, 2015)

Richard Buchalski Sr., 67, of Swiftwater, died suddenly Easter Sunday, April 5th. He is remembered by his cherished wife of 48 years. As a loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by three daughters, two sons, and seven grandchildren.

As a diligent manager he worked vigorously for the United Parcel Service (UPS ) to fulfill 35 years of dedicated service.

But what he enjoyed most of all was spending time with his family. Whether laughing, smiling, or shedding tears of joy, these memorable moments is what he craved, from us and what filled every day of his life…. within the love of his heart.

For he loved everything about God's creation, and appreciated leisurely drives along with traveling with his family to enjoy the landscape, nature and the beauty of Our Great Nation.

“As the Lord has risen on this day in Heaven he opened the gates to let him in”

Please join us to celebrate a loved husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and worker. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, April 10, at William Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Saturday, April 11, at St. Mary’s Church, 27 Fairview Ave, Mt. Pocono.
