MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Hazel E. Eshelman, 91, of 2957 S. Brooklyn Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born Jan. 30, 1909, in Fort Loudon, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Michael W. and Myrtle V. Cordell Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson E. Eshelman, in 1999.

She was a former employee of Musselman Food Processing Co. of Biglerville, Pa., and was last employed by the Tuscarora School District with the custodial staff.

She had attended Fort Loudon United Methodist Church.

She attended Fort Loudon Senior Center.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Miller and Anna Mae Gallagher, both of Mercersburg; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a sister, and a brother.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Floyd E. Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Stenger Hill Cemetery in Fort Loudon.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Irene C. Frederick

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Irene C. Frederick, 93, formerly of 4699 Altenwald Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, April 14, 2000, at Falling Springs Rehabilitation Center.

Born April 20, 1906, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late G. Robert and Nellie Lowery Coffman.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Wilbur B. Frederick, in 1984.

She and her husband had operated a farm in the Waynesboro area for a number of years. She also worked for a number of years in orchards.

She was a member of Fetterhoff Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was a member of Franklin County Farm Women.

She is survived by a daughter, Beulah E. George of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Michael D. Frederick and Tammy Frederick Salter; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert L. Frederick and Ralph D. Frederick.

Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Fetterhoff Chapel United Methodist Church, 4205 Fetterhoff Road in Chambersburg. Pastor Robert L. Basom will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to Fetterhoff Chapel Cemetery Association, 4205 Feterhoff Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Arrangements are by Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Frances O. Nicarry

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Frances O. Nicarry, 80, a resident of Penn Hall, 1421 Philadelphia Ave. and formerly of 57 Apple Drive, Greencastle, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, April 14, 2000, at Penn Hall Nursing Center.

Born Oct. 1, 1919, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jacob J. and Linnie Kriner Oberholzer.

She was a member of Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, the Rev. Wayne A. Nicarry; two sons, Ronald L. Nicarry and Wayne F. Nicarry, both of Greencastle; three sisters, Mary A. Martin of Waynesboro, Pa., Ethel G. Oberholzer of Brethren Home, New Oxford, Pa., and Helen I. Gamby of Chambersburg; two grandsons; a step-great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

A memorial service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Chambersburg Church of the Brethren, 260 S. Fourth St. in Chambersburg. The Revs. Kenneth Gibble and Robert Thacker will officiate.

Entombment will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Chambersburg at the convenience of the family.

There will be no public viewing; however, the family will receive friends Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Frances Leiter Center, 539 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA 17201; or Chambersburg Church of the Brethren Building Fund, 260 S. Fourth St. Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Arrangements are by Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Raymond M. O'Kelly Sr.

BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - Raymond M. O'Kelly Sr., 79, of 13580 Summit Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, April 14, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Nov. 15, 1920, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Claud M. and Ruth Little O'Kelly.

He was a 1938 graduate of City College High School in Baltimore and attended Maryland University for two years prior to his military service.

He was a draftsman for the Veterans Administration in Fort Howard, Md., and then for the veterans hospital in Perry Point, Md. Later, he worked as head of building maintenance for the veterans hospital in Baltimore, Fort Howard Hospital and the veterans hospitals in Richmond, Va., Providence, R.I., Durham, N.C., and North Hampton, Mass. He retired in 1976.

He served in the U.S. Army from July 1942 until January 1946 during World War II in the European Theater.

He attended Hawley Memorial Presbyterian Church in Blue Ridge Summit.

He was a member and past master of Susquehanna Lodge 130 F&AM of Havre De Grace, Md., and a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 95 of Hagerstown; Zembo Temple and Consistory, both of Harrisburg, Pa.; BPO Elks Lodge 378 of Hagerstown; and Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15 of Waynesboro, Pa. He also was a member of Beaver Creek Golf Club of Hagerstown and Monterey Golf Club of Blue Ridge Summit.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine C. "Katie" Kane O'Kelly, whom he married March 19, 1943; two sons, Raymond M. O'Kelly Jr. of Richmond, Va., and Patrick M. O'Kelly of Charlottesville, Va.; a sister, Mary Ruth O'Kelly Chlad of Parkton, Md.; a granddaughter; a grandson; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian O'Kelly; and a brother, Melvin O'Kelly.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Hawley Memorial Presbyterian Church, 14753 Charmian Road, Blue Ridge Summit. The Rev. Robert S. Edmundson will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Cascade.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro.

William M. Foster

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - William Max Foster, 38, of 275 Peck Lane, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, April 13, 2000, at Frankford Hospital Bucks County Campus in Langhorne, Pa.

Born Monday, Jan. 8, 1962, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of Max B. and June Young Foster.

He was a carpenter at Kinsley Construction in York, Pa.

He was a Protestant.

He served as a certified welder in the U.S. Navy.

He was director of USSSA Softball, and played in the Fulton County Pool League.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Dixie Mellott Foster, whom he married March 2, 1990; a daughter, Brittany Foster of McConnellsburg; two sisters, Peggy Sue Clark of Fort Loudon, Pa., and Tena Marie Hartmire of Chambersburg, Pa.; nine nieces, six nephews; and one great-nephew.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Sipes Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Pa. Toby Mellott will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Nazarene Church Cemetery in Waterfall, Pa., with military services conducted by Fulton Honor Guard.

There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service on Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.
