CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Frank L. Stiver, 54, of 633 S. Fourth St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, April 23, 2000, in Chambersburg Hospital after a long illness.

Born April 26, 1945, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Esther Horne Stiver of Chambersburg and the late Russell Stiver Sr.

He was owner/operator of Frank L. Stiver Painting Contractor for 25 years. He retired in 1992.

He was a Protestant.

He is survived by a daughter, Ashley Stiver of Chambersburg; two sons, Jeff Stiver of Hershey, Pa., and Ryan Stiver of Chambersburg; a sister, Tina Johnson of Bartow, Fla.; four brothers, Ralph Champlin of Rehobeth Beach, Del.; Russell Stiver Jr., Paul Stiver and Mike Stiver, all of Chambersburg; a stepbrother, Kenneth Horne of Lakeland, Fla., and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. Sister Aletha Painter will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clarence L. Harbaugh

ROUZERVILLE, Pa. - Clarence L. Harbaugh, 82, of 12091 Broad St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, April 22, 2000, in Waynesboro Hospital due to a heart attack.

Born April 18, 1918, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Guy S. and Ethel M. Cordell Harbaugh.

He graduated from Westinghouse High School, Pittsburgh, in 1937.

He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific.

Prior to the military, he worked at Hess Planing Mill, Waynesboro, and later worked as a general manager under Harbaugh's contractors for 17 years. He retired in 1983 from Mont Alto Campus of Pennsylvania State University as maintenance supervisor and then did general contracting for family and friends.

He was a former member of Harbaugh Reformed Church and later the Church of Apostles United Church of Christ. He taught Sunday School at both churches. He was a member of Rouzerville United Methodist Church, Rouzerville, where he attended the Adult Sunday School Class. He served on the board of trustees and as chairman. He also served on the administrative board of the church, the building and grounds committee and was on the General Conference.

He was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15, Waynesboro, and National AARP. He served on the Republican Committee of Franklin County, the Waynesboro School Board and the Washington Township Planning Commission. He was founder of Franklin County Organic Gardening Association.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Fannie B. Fitz Harbaugh; three daughters, Betty M. Carson of Forrest Hills, Md., Jean A. Rosenberger of Waynesboro and Sara J. Hollinshead of Greencastle, Pa.; two sons, Earl K. Harbaugh of St. Charles, Ill., and Ray A. Harbaugh of Waynesboro; a sister, Ruth Woller of Greencastle; a brother, Earl Harbaugh of Greencastle; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Harbaugh, in 1996, and a grandson, Kevin J. Hollinshead.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rouzerville United Methodist Church, 11977 Old Route 16, Rouzerville. The Revs. Jeffrey S. Swanger and Carl L. Buterbaugh will officiate. Private burial will be in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, near Rouzerville, at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends after the services on Wednesday in the church social room.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rouzerville United Methodist Church, 11977 Old Route 16, Waynesboro, PA 17268, or to a charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are by Grove-Boxersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Lydith J. Morrette

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Lydith Jacobs Morrette, 54, of 1509 Lin Mar Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, April 21, 2000, at her home.

Born June 6, 1945, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Thelma Marie Lavine Jacobs.

She was a 1963 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and a 1967 graduate of Shippensburg State College.

She was a teacher and a homemaker. She taught in the Chambersburg Area School district at South Hamilton Elementary School from 1967 to 1970.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Chambersburg, where she was a member of HOPE Sunday School Class. She was active with Bible Release.

She is survived by her husband, Clair A. Morrette, whom she married Aug. 28, 1966; two daughters, Lori J. Greenwood of Chambersburg and Julie A. Morrette of Fayetteville, Pa.; a sister, Dee Martin of Chambersburg, and four brothers, Bruce Jacobs, Brian Jacobs and Dennis Jacobs, all of Chambersburg, and Ian Bonise of Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 225 S. Second St., Chambersburg. The Revs. Donald C. Nolder and Dianne B. Salter will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, and Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church or First United Methodist Church Youth (Workcamp Fund), both of 225 S. Timothy S. Reed

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Timothy S. "Tim" Reed, 18, of 556 S. Second St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, April 22, 2000, as a result of a single-vehicle automobile accident on Route 997 at Cumberland Highway and Smith Road, Chambersburg.

Born Aug. 20, 1981, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Charles T. Reed of Chambersburg and Roberta A. Danzberger Duvall of St. Thomas, Pa.

He was a 1999 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.

He was employed by Chatham Enterprises Inc., Chambersburg, formerly known as Hennessy Products Inc., as a metal worker.

He was a member of the YMCA of Chambersburg.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Melissa A. Duvall and Brooke L. Duvall, both of St. Thomas; a brother, Thomas L. Reed of Chambersburg; stepfather, Jerry Duvall of St. Thomas, and paternal grandmother, Agnes M. Reed of Chambersburg.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald R. Reed, and his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Phyllis Danzberger.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Howard Beaver will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clara H. Bingaman

Born April 11, 1929, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Clarence G. Boller and E. Virginia Mathias Boller Neely.

Her first husband, Donald H. Her second husband, Edward J. She was a member of Presbyterian Church of Mercersburg.

She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge 830, Ladies Auxiliaries of Clarence Armstrong VFW Post 6241 and American Legion Post 517, all of Mercersburg; and South Central AARP.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda M. Faith and Diana L. Spangler, both of Mercersburg; five sons, Edward A. Heinbaugh of Greencastle, Pa., John W. Heinbaugh, Robert E. Heinbaugh, Donald L. Heinbaugh and Terry L. Heinbaugh, all of Mercersburg.

She was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter; a half-sister; and her stepfather, P. A. Neely.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Donald J. Ream will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.

Viewing will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Memorial donations may be made to a church of one's choice.
