Born Nov. 26, 1921, in Hustontown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel C. and Laura Bradnick Snyder.

Her first husband, Boyd S. She was a homemaker. She formerly worked at Knouse Foods in the summers.

She attended Assembly of God Church.

She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion and VFW of McConnellsburg.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Ann Everetts and Darlene Thomas, both of Fort Loudon, Pa.; a son, Donald L. Layton of Mercersburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St., McConnellsburg. The Rev. Leroy W. Wiley will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Needmore, Pa.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home; and Thursday at 10 a.m. The funeral home will be open Wednesday from 2 p.m.

Helen C. Dice

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Helen C. Dice, 86, of Menno Haven, and formerly of Menno Village, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at Menno Haven.

Born Oct. 26, 1913, in Guilford Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William Preston and Sarah Margaret Wagner Rice.

Her first husband, Norman Frey Seilhamer, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died June 24, 1977.

She farmed with her first husband. She worked at Wilson College in Chambersburg in the housekeeping department for 10 years.

She attended United Brethren churches.

She is survived by her husband, Frank J. Dice of Chambersburg; a son, Bishop Ray Seilhamer of Huntington, Ind.; two daughters, Pauline Swope of Chambersburg and Vonnie Bowers of Waynesboro, Pa.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a stepson, Herbert M. Dice of Chambersburg; three stepdaughters, Janet Newman of Chambersburg, Joyce A. Dice of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Patsy S. Whitehead of Greencastle, Pa.; seven stepgrandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson; eight sisters, and three brothers.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Revs. Garry L. Culler and Bill Sunday will officiate. Burial will be in Grindstone Hill Cemetery, near Chambersburg.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and at 1 p.m. Friday.

Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, Franklin County Chapter, 2040 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110-9568; or to Rhodes Grove Camp Association Building Fund, 7693 Browns Mill Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Bonnie S. Witte

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Bonnie S. Johnson Witte, 53, of 12575 Old Germantown Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, March 20, 2000, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Aug. 27, 1946, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of Kenneth E. and Lillian F. Pharo Johnson of Waynesboro.

She was a 1966 graduate of Waynesboro High School.

She was employed at in the Dietary Department of Brook Lane Health Services, Leithersburg, for 10 years. She had retired on disability.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Stacie L. Witte of Chambersburg; two sons, Troy P. Witte and Ty E. Witte, both of Waynesboro; a sister, Tina M. Long of Waynesboro; a brother, Dennis E. Johnson of Waynesboro; two grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. James T. Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, at the convenience of the family.

There will be no public viewing.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association, South Central Pa. Chapter, 488 W. Market St., York, PA 17404.

Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematorium, Waynesboro.

Richard C. Shepley

MT. Born Nov. 17, 1936, in Myersville, Md., he was the son of Catherine Rice of Jefferson, Md., and the late Jake Shepley.

He was preceded in death by his second wife, Twila Shepley.

He was owner and operator of Shepley Home Improvements.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his first wife, Wanda Slifer of Brunswick, Md.; a son, Richard C. Shepley Jr. of Smithsburg; a brother, Kenneth Rice of Jefferson; two granddaughters; a niece and a nephew.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Ed Wade will officiate. Burial will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mount Morris.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Merrill W. Seville

MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Merrill W. Seville, 84, of 300 E. Born Nov. 13, 1916, in Cito, Pa., he was the son of the late Harvey W. and Rhoda Clevenger Seville and was raised by the late Lynn and Elizabeth Alexander since the age of 4 months.

He was employed for the Borough of McConnellsburg as chief of police for 31 years.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Cito United Methodist Church.

He was a member of McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Company; Mercersburg Sportsman's Association; Fulton County Sportsman's Association; Fraternal Order of Police; Rocky Mountain Hunting Club and The Odd Fellows.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Keefer Seville; three daughters, Daisy Burrall and Carol Moats, both of McConnellsburg and Linda Dickons of Ark, Va.; five sons, Merrill D. Seville and Roy R. Seville, both of McConnellsburg, Harvey W. Seville of Fort Littleton, Pa., Mark C. Seville of Chambersburg, Pa., and Lynn W. Seville of St. Thomas, Pa.; a sister, Ruth Traux of Hustontown, Pa.; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Laurel Ridge Christian Church, Big Cove Tannery, Pa. The Rev. Sam Stoey will officiate. Burial will be in Laurel Ridge Christian Church Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by Fulton County Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. 2nd St., McConnellsburg, which will be open from 2 to 9 p.m.

E. Virginia Skilton

DRY RUN, Pa. - E. She was preceded in death by her second husband, William F. Skilton Jr., and her first husband, Thomas B. Karper.

She was employed by McCoy Electronics, retiring in 1977.

She was a Protestant.

She was the first female police officer to serve with Norristown Police Department, Norristown, Pa.

She was a member of Citizen's Fire Company, Mount Holly Springs, Pa. and volunteered with American Red Cross for many years.

She is survived by three daughters, Susan M. Otto of Gardners, Pa., Catheran S. Touloumes of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Rachel R. Skilton of Arendsville, Pa.; a son, Robert S. Karper of Dry Run; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
