Born June 17, 1943, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of Robert A. Hann of Canyon Lake, Texas, and the late Hilda Brant Hann.

He worked at Grove World Wide, Shady Grove, Pa.

He was a Methodist.

He was a member of Franklin County Bowling Hall of Fame and a member of McConnellsburg Fire Co..

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Fannie Mellott Hann, whom he marred Nov. 5, 1966; a daughter, Laura Hoffman of McConnellsburg; and three sons, Harry Houck, Brian Hann and Bert Hann, all of McConnellsburg.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Sipes Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Pa. Pastor George Clippinger will officiate. Burial will be in Asbury United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Elizabeth H. Suders

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Elizabeth H. Suders, 84, of 7792 Lincoln Way East, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Oct. 22, 1914, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late William D. and Nora E. Fahnestock Monn.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Chester R. Suders, in 1989.

She assisted her husband with gospel meetings at Franklin County Nursing Home for more than 20 years.

She was a homemaker.

She attended Gospel Chapel of Chambersburg.

She crocheted and sold items to people in the area.

She is survived by five daughters, Marion "Pat" Fritz, Irene Mackey, Helen Cleaver and Deborah Barrow, all of Chambersburg, and Tanya Ford of Orrtanna, Pa.; two sons, William C. Suders and Timothy L. Suders, both of Fayetteville; a brother, Clarence Monn of Chambersburg; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers.

Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Revs. Carl Lininger and Leigh Huss will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Chambersburg.

Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, Franklin County Chapter, in care of Doris J. Goetz, 219 W. Second St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Tora K. Huffman

BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - Tora Kelley Huffman, 33, of 12950 Pennersville Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Hagerstown. Death was accidental.

Born May 29, 1965, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Gwen L. Benchoff Rock of Blue Ridge Summit and Robert W. Kelley of Hagerstown.

She graduated Waynesboro Senior High School in 1983 and from York College of Pennsylvania in 1987 with a degree in nursing.

She was employed as a registered nurse at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md., for 10 years. She then did private-duty nursing.

She was a member of the Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia nurses associations; and U.S. Parachute Association. She was a licensed sky diver.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Kelley C. Mong and Faith E. Mong, both of Blue Ridge Summit; a son, Robert L. Mong of Blue Ridge Summit; her fiance, Steven Robert Mong of Blue Ridge Summit; her stepfather, Joseph R. Bock of Blue Ridge Summit; her stepmother, Linda Kelley of Hagerstown; four sisters, Melinda E. Varner of Smithsburg, Annette Greathouse of Knoxville, Tenn., Tonya Weatherwalks of Marlton, N.J., and Tammy Bock of Carlisle, Pa.; maternal grandmother, Mary K. Benchoff of Blue Ridge Summit; paternal grandmother, Ellen Kelley of Boonsboro; maternal stepgrandmother, Sara M. Bock of Hagerstown; paternal stepgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fisher of Hagerstown; and four nieces.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Jeffrey Swanger will officiate. Burial will be in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, Rouzerville, Pa.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kelley C. Mong Fund at Citizens National Bank, Center Square, Waynesboro, PA 17268.

John L. Metzger

Born Nov. 6, 1946, in Cleveland, he was the son of Lois Sliker Metzger Reohr of Winterhaven, Fla., and the late Ralph R. Metzger.

He was employed as a computer systems analyst with Industrial Logistics Service Center, Chambersburg, at Letterkenny Army Depot.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He attended Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg.

He was a coach with Hamilton Heights Little League.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Cheryl L. Ross Metzger; two sons, Scott R. Metzger and Mark L. Metzger, both of Chambersburg; three sisters, Kathleen Tracey of Westminster, Md., Lois Foreman of Brunswick, Ohio, and Deborah Morrison of North Jackson, Ohio; and two brothers, Robert Metzger of Cleveland, Ohio and Keith Metzger of Savannah, Ga.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, 2509 Black Gap Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Daryl M. Elliott and the Rev. Carl McKee will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Marcelle S. Reckley

TURNERSVILLE, N.J. - Marcelle Shaffer Reckley, 84, formerly of Spring Gap, Md., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, at her home.

Born July 20, 1914, in Hyndman, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Otis and Bessie Shaffer Harden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Charles S. "Jim" Reckley, whom she married in 1934.

She was a 1933 graduate of Hyndman High School, Hyndman.

She was a homemaker. With her husband, she pastored churches including Morgan Charge, Berkeley Springs, Jefferson County Circuit, Paw Paw Charge, all in West Virginia; Midland Charge near Frostburg, Md., and Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in West Virginia. In 1974, after her husband's death, she was licensed by Baltimore and continued to pastor Mt. Zion United Methodist until 1989.

She was a member of Davis Memorial United Methodist Church, Cumberland, Md.

She is survived by one daughter, Faith Elaine Reckley Munson of Turnersville; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Harden Beal; and one brother, Elmer Otis Harden.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Davis Memorial United Methodist Church, 14300 Uhl Highway, Cumberland. The Rev. Ted Higby and the Rev. William Merki will officiate. Burial will be in Davis Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union Street, Berkeley Springs. There will be a prayer service at 3 p.m. The funeral home will be open from 10 a.m.

The family also will receive friends Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Davis Memorial United Methodist Church, 14300 Uhl Highway, Cumberland, MD 21502; or to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 532, Great Cacapon, WV 25422.

George R. Bowman

Born Nov. 22, 1899, in Greencastle, Pa., he was the son of the late Samuel Albert and Ida Rice Bowman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Wyand Bowman, in 1978.

He retired as a supervisor with Detroit Edison Power Company after 38 years.

He was a former member of Faith United Methodist Church, Greencastle; and attended Fairhaven Christian Missionary and Alliance Church in Dayton.

He is survived by a daughter, Marie F. Griesmeyer of Kettering; a sister, Nettie Grove of Chambersburg, Pa.; two granddaughters, Lynn S. Heath and Cheri L. Brady, both of Kettering; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Kuhn and Mary Hockensmith; and a brother, Ben Bowman.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Walter Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Keedysville.

There will be no viewing or visitation; however, the family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairhaven Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 637 Whipp Road, Dayton, OH 45459.
