CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Jean M. Born July 25, 1939, in Winton, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Charlie Lee and Hattie Wiggins Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Mills, in 1995.

She was a 1956 graduate of C. S. Brown High School in Winton. She then received her bachelor's degree from the former District of Columbia Teacher's College; and later received her master's degree at Trinity College in Washington, D.C.

She taught at Rudolph Elementary School in Washington, D.C., retiring after 22 years.

She attended St. James AME Church, Chambersburg.

She is survived by a sister, H. Lorraine Wright of Providence, R.I.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Charisse Craig; and a brother.

Services will be Tuesday at Phillipi Baptist Church, Cofield, N.C. Burial will be in Phillipi Baptist Church Cemetery, Cofield.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 7 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Nellie P. Schultz

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Nellie P. Ritz Schultz, formerly of Warfordsburg, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at Brownsville General Hospital. She had made her home with her daughter in Brownsville, Pa., and was a resident of Country Care Manor at Fayette City, Pa.

Born Aug. 7, 1904, in Warfordsburg, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Agnes Booth Ritz.

She was a retired teacher from Southern Fulton School District.

She was a member of Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Richardson of Brownsville; a foster brother, Earl C. McCardell of Upper Strousburg, Pa.; a granddaughter, Nancy Mayo of Latrobe, Pa.; a grandson, James Richardson of Stockdale, Pa.; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen V. Jenkins; and a brother, Guy D. Ritz.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. The Rev. John Barlow, her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from noon to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Local arrangements were by Confer Funeral Home, Brownsville.

Ann L. Green

MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Ann Lightner Green, 71, of rural route 2, box 51A, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.

Born May 23, 1927, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Norman C. and Maeda Weicht Lightner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Green, in 1978.

She was a graduate of Shippensburg University with a teaching degree.

She was a school teacher with Chambersburg Area School District, retiring in 1993. She also had worked at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Chambersburg.

She is survived by one daughter, M. Kay Dull of Carlisle, Pa.; two sons, Jay L. Green of Scotland, Pa. and Ray L. Green of Severna Park, Md.; two brothers, Norman C. Lightner of Marion, Pa. and Charles W. Lightner of Bel Air, Md.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Jane Lightner, in 1950.

Services will be today at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Donald C. Nolder will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.

Friends may call today, one hour prior to services, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 2325 Cumberland Road, Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.

The Rev. Harold L. Hunsecker

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Rev. Harold L. Hunsecker, 81, 12 S. Penn Hall Drive, formerly a resident of McConnellsburg, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at his home.

Born Sept. 4, 1917, near Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Charles N. and Emma Ebersole Hunsecker.

He was ordained at Chambersburg Mennonite church in 1938 and served as pastor of the church for a number of years. He was then pastor at Rock Hill Mennonite Church in McConnellsburg, retiring in 1975. During that time, he also worked as a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger.

He was a member of Rock Hill Mennonite Church.

He enjoyed oil painting.

He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Alice Frey Hunsecker; one daughter, Carolyn Durst of West Branch, Mich.; one son, Clair E. Hunsecker of Lancaster, Pa.; four brothers, Wilmer Hunsecker of Walkersville, Md., Charles Hunsecker of Marion, Pa., and Mervin Hunsecker and Richard Hunsecker, both of Chambersburg; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Constance Cordell.

Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Chambersburg Mennonite Church, 1800 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Jerry A. Roth and the Rev. Preston M. Frey will officiate. Burial will be in Chambersburg Mennonite Cemetery, Chambersburg.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, in Chambersburg and Tuesday, one hour prior to services at the church.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee Hurricane Relief Fund, 21 S. Twelfth St., P.O. Box 500, Akron, Pa. 17501.

Patrick H. Boland Jr.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Patrick H. Boland Jr., 63, of 12222 Polktown Road, Bingaman's Trailer Park, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, November 27, 1998, at his home.

Born March 7, 1935, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Patrick H. Sr. and Sarah M. Winebrenner Boland.

He attended St. Euphephines Catholic School in Emmitsburg, Md and was a 1953 graduate of Emmitsburg High School.

He was a cook at Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg for more than 38 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy from December of 1955 to October of 1959.

He was a member of Antrim Faith Baptist Church.

He was a member of Fairfield AMVETS Post 172, in Fairfield, Pa.

He is survived by his companion of 27 years, Betty Haines, of Emmitsburg; two sisters, Mary Murray of New Kensington, Pa., and Rose Gilland of Greencastle, Pa.; one brother, Joseph Boland of Winter Haven, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Eyler; and one brother, Donald Boland.

Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., in Waynesboro. The Rev. Herbert S. Busick will officiate. Burial will be in Fountaindale Union Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Antrim Faith Baptist Church, 6621 Marsh Road, Waynesboro, Pa. 17268.
