Observed 57th wedding anniversary on May 3, 2004. Retired from Johnstown Local 1288 USWA with 38 years' service. Army veteran of World War II. Past commander of Jerome Post 802 American Legion and past Somerset County commander. Member of Hollsopple Post 8861 VFW, Somerset Post 181 American Legion and Somerset County Honor Guard. Also a member of Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown. Bill enjoyed many hours of working with wood as a member of the Handyman Club. Survived by loving wife of over 60 years, Betty (Nagel) Stehnach, and son, Michael III, married to the former Elizabeth Ohmacht, Allentown. Mr. Stehnach is also survived by grandchildren, Kyle and Ann Morano, and brothers, Paul Stehnach, Ohio; Father Peter Stehnach, Mars, Pa.; Nicholas Stehnach, Arizona; and Stephen Stehnach, California. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, retired Bethlehem Steel employee with over 43 years of service and member of the Conemaugh PNA. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or visitation, but family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel, Father Peter Stehnach. QUASHNIE - Bradley S. Born March 13, 1986, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the son of Val Harner of Walkersville, Md., and Scott Quashnie of Newburg, Pa. Brad graduated class of 2004 from Walkersville High School with high honors and was a member of the National Honor Society and the National Technical Society. He was involved with Career Tech Marketing at F.C.C., and had been accepted at Penn State. He was employed at Aspen Publishers and Giant Eagle. Brad enjoyed karate and playing soccer. His friends called him "Master of Awesomeness." In addition to his mother and father he is survived by two sisters, Heather R. Quashnie of Newburg, Pa., and Kylee R. Gasse of Walkersville, Md.; his maternal grandfather, Stan Rogers of Frederick, Md.; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Linda Quashnie of Mineral Point; uncles, Joe Rogers of Walkersville, Md.; Michael Quashnie and wife, Becky, of Boonsboro, Md.; Chris Quashnie and wife, Trish, of Valdosta, Ga.; and his aunt, Cindy Mehall of Mineral Point. He will also be remembered by his many special friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rose Rogers, and his uncle, Brian Quashnie.
