Born Oct. 22, 1919, in Ramey, son of the late William C. and Florence E. (Ball) Gathagan. On Oct. 31, 1940, in Cumberland, Md., he married Blanche M. Irwin, who survives along with a son, Nelson Gene and wife, Gail, Knoxville, Tenn., and a daughter, Gail M. McClellan, and husband, David, Glasgow; also seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren along with siblings, Susan C. O'Donnell, Utahville; Nellie J. Mackey, Coalport; Adaline G. Heverly, Fallentimber; the Rev. Henry, Dayton, Ohio; and John, Ohio. Preceded in death by an infant son, Larry; a daughter, Rita Fink; and a brother, James. He was a 1939 graduate of Beccaria Township High School. He served as a corporal in the Air Force during World War II. He retired in 1981 as a foreman from Bethlehem Coal Mines and had attended Hollentown Assembly of God. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, with Pastor Dean Hinton officiating. Interment, Fruit Hill Cemetery, Ansonville. Military rites by Coalport VFW.

Born Dec. 18, 1936, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Philip Hautz and Ruth W. (Schreyer) Hautz-Maher. Preceded in death by brothers, Charles E. Sr. and James P. Survived by these children: Samuel Prestipino, and his wife, Kim, Durham, S.C.; David Prestipino, and his wife, Lori, New York; and Mary Christine, wife of Mark Bisson, Helena, Mont.; also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother, Philip, married to Wanda (Trent), Johnstown, and sisters-in-law, Paula (Kochran) and Mary (Duman). Mrs. Hautz was employed by Bestform. Member of the St. Joseph Chapel of St. John Gualbert Cathedral. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Geisel Funeral Home, Dale, where vigil for the deceased will be held Friday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, the Rev. Monsignor George B. Flinn, VG. Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery.

KINKEAD - Beatrice L.
KINKEAD - Beatrice L. "Trixie," 83, Patton, passed away on April 11, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. She was Born May 7, 1923, in Petersburg, W.Va., the daughter of Earl and Della (Borror) Luzier. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul Riggs; her second husband, Robert Blair; her third husband, Frank Kinkead; and her longtime companion, John Donahue; grandson, James Allen Despoy; brothers, William and James Luzier; and sister, Elizabeth Stoltz. She is survived by her children: William (Adriana) Blair, Patton; Richard (Chris) Blair, Beaver Valley; Thomas Blair, Indio, Calif.; Sheila (James) Lee, Flinton; and Jeanmary Blair, Patton; stepsons, Bob and Jerry Blair; grandchildren, Michael, Leah, Justin, Travis, Alyssa, Angela, Julian and Jordan; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Harmon (Hope) Luzier, Maryland; and sisters, Gloria (Milton) Williams, Alabama; Joy Grindstaff, Butler, Tenn.; Silva (Vince) Cafeo, Pittsburgh; and Patricia Reichert, Dushore; also numerous nieces and nephews. She managed Kinkead's Stationery Store in Patton for many years, and was past secretary of the Patton Chamber of Commerce. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, by the Rev. John F. Dallape. Private committal, Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Patton Volunteer Fire Department. www.stevensfh.com.

Survived by two special aunts, Emma Miller and Ruby Rummel; nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special caregiver, Martha Curran. Lifelong member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Krista T. Vingelis. Joan was a foreign service wife for 30 years and traveled extensively with her husband and children. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed walking, gardening and loved to care for others. She was Born Dec. 13, 1940, in Pennsylvania to the late Grant and Julia (Wagner) Vickroy. She is survived by her husband, George Yingling, Manassas, Va.; and children: Michelle Purdham, and husband, Rob, Bristow, Va.; Chris Deyerling, and husband, Scott, Indiana; Mark Yingling, and wife, Denise, Manassas, Va.; and Diana Bowling, and husband, Troy, Bristow, Va.; a brother, James Vickroy, Pennsylvania; and seven grandchildren, Brittany, Andrew, Taylor, Mitch, Cody, Marina and Landon. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Pierce-Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Va., followed by funeral service at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Denise Childers officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in the form of a donation to Capital Hospice, 10530 Linden Lake Plaza, Suite 200, Manassas, Va. 20109, in loving memory of Joan Arlene Yingling.

WAEHNER - Irvin W.

Survived by sons, Rod and Doug, both of Johnstown; Dennis, and wife, Ann, Houston, Texas; and Rex, and wife, Mary Jo, Leesburg, Va.; and daughters, Emily Waehner, and friend, John, Daytona, Fla.; Rebecca, married to Brian Marchinke, West Palm Beach, Fla.; and Gretchen, wife of Jack Mattison, Austin, Texas; also nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Van Scoyoc, Johnstown. Irvin retired as a supervisor in the engineering department at Bethlehem Steel after 44 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran serving in Guam. A member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, where he was active in the choir. He also sang with the Barbershop Singers. He enjoyed taking a daily swim, since he was a child, most recently at the YMCA. Friends will be received at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., West Hills, 921 Menoher Blvd., from 10 a.m. Monday until leaving for Mount Calvary for a 1 p.m. service, the Rev. Nelson Ilgenfritz officiating. Entombment, Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Johnstown YMCA, in his memory.
